Chapter 2
Third Person's Pov
"Good morning, Sir Altaraza!" Aly's staff happily greeted him.
"Good morning," he greeted them back with a smile.
He just shook his head at the praise he heard as he walked towards the woman's office, whom he was crushing on. He has been doing this for several years but he will never get tired and bored of flirting.
He just came back from his business trip from Dubai where he was gone for almost a month and he hasn't had a break yet because his flight was just earlier but he chose to visit his future wife She even brought a bouquet of flowers that she often makes.
He caught up with the girl who was too busy with her work. He smiled when he finally saw her beautiful face again that didn't even fade even after having a child. It's not even obvious from its appearance.
"Hi, good morning, Meds," he greeted her when he entered her office.
When he saw her, his smile widened and he quickly took the flower from her hands and placed it on her lap.
She appreciated his bouquet.
"Morning, when did you get back?" he asked her and she bent down to plant a kiss on his cheek.
The girl was not changing him because he was used to kissing her cheek and forehead. Not even on the lips. Because he hasn't answered her yet. It's okay if she's his girlfriend.

"Hmm, just a moment ago," he replied and he sat down on the visitor's chair and he lowered himself so that he could see her gentle face better, "I have a greeting for you," he added, "Of course, also for those our child." Aly laughed at him.
"Mrs. Altaraza," he uttered. It would be nice if that surname came from him himself.
"Hey, that's my father's surname, right? I'm not your wife," she reasoned out and he chuckled.
"Say 'yes' to me already and I will marry you right now," he said even though it was mixed with joking, he was still serious about marrying the girl.
"Why don't you rest, King? You just arrived from Dubai and why did you come here immediately?" she said.
"I missed you, And I missed the kids, too. The four of us on a date?" he told her. He missed the kids too, he treated them like his own children.
"The two are busy because they have school. Excited to go in," she answered.
"And you didn't tell me about Bon's situation. He...he," he said and couldn't finish because he remembered the boy's condition.
"I'll visit them after my work. I just stopped by to see my baby-momma," he promised and stood up.
"See you later, Miss." After he left, he kissed her forehead, gently.
The sweet yes is really all that King Dwight is missing and waiting for. But it looks like he won't be able to get that anymore because his ex-husband has returned to the country.
"King..." Aly called him as she hugged him. Because he caught up with the girl in the parking lot with the man he only recognized because of the photo his brother showed him.
She didn't expect their paths to cross and she admits she was nervous.
His eyes were cold looking at her so she also looked at him.
"Your wife?" he mocked him.
"You don't have the right to hug her like that, Mr. Sullivan," he hissed before he pulled the girl away from that place but he didn't like the emotion he read in her.
He's fucking jealous!
And he didn't expect that he would still approach Aly. It's really strong.
"How much the payment? I will pay for Meds?" he asked him.
"Ms. Altaraza, she will pay. I will call you when you pay." The two of them were left staring at each other after he left them.
"Isn't he awake yet?" King Dwight asked Aleixha, or if she was called by her nickname, Aly.
King is referring to Aly's ex-husband. To this day, he still has a grudge against the man because of what he did to the woman he loves.
Yes, he admits that he loves Aly and even if he doesn't know the other story about the two, he clearly sees that Aly's ex-husband cheated.
"Not yet," Aly answered him and shook his head.
His face looked like he was sorry for what happened to the man who was pressured to know the truth.
"Out of the two of you, you are the one who was hurt the most. But look at it. He is the weaker one. He couldn't handle the revelation he found out," he said and Aly nodded to him.
In the few years that he has known her that their first meeting was not good either he has been given time to get to know one Aleixha Medley Altaraza.
Coincidence, isn't it? They used the same surname and they were friends at first so he got to know her better and he couldn't stop loving her anymore.
He didn't know when it started or how, but he just woke up one day with his heart beating fast every time he was with Aly.
He is also aware that he has a child and twins. But that did not diminish his love for the girl. He loved her even more for being a good mother to her children. He is more and more impressed and the twins are not an obstacle so that he does not continue his courtship with her.
But I guess the woman his heart beats for is not for him.
"Are you really sure, Aly? Are you sure you won't give him a second chance?" he asked the girl and she bowed.
He was able to say those words because that was the right thing to do. Her ex-husband came back and even though he was still angry with the man, he could see the twinkle in his eyes as he watched the woman he loved.
He sees that he still loves his ex-wife very much and he admits that Aly has no intention of giving the man a second chance.
But King thought, he thought of the children. They still need a happy and complete family. Especially in the current state of Bon, one of its children.
Children are stuck because of parents fighting.
Bon and Azriel have also fallen in love with him so even though he knows it hurts, he will let go just for their sake and happiness.
He also knows that he will be happier with the father of Aly's children.
He loves Aly, but he's ready to let her go...
"It hurts, King. I can't accept him anymore," Aly excused him. He understands it.
It hurts to be fooled and left in the air.
King sat next to Aly and held her shoulder, "Aly, he is still your cure. I know you have moved on from him. But the pain is still there, Aly... It's still there and that can't be treated by anyone or even medicine from doctors. Aly, I love you..." he said at length.
He didn't even know where he got those words. He could only say one thing, those words came out of his mouth spontaneously.
"But I'm ready to leave you to the father of your children. Because I know you'll have fun there. You're just afraid to try, Aly. You're just afraid to take risks again, but whether you admit it or not. He's still... He's still , Aly. You still love him. He's still the one your heart beats for, Aly. So, that's why you can't love me. Because he's still there, Aly," he added.
He wasn't too numb to not feel it either. So Aly doesn't answer him because he knows that someone else owns his heart. No matter what he does, he knows it can't be changed.
"I like you, King. I really like you..." He smiled at what he said. He feels that his liking for her is genuine.
"But he is more dominant, Aly. He has a bigger part in your heart. I love you so what I want is your happiness, the children," he said seriously, "Do you know I regretted beating him, Aly?" He felt her staring at him.
"He let me beat him. He could have fought back, he could have retaliated against me. But what did he do? He let me as if he was giving up, Aly. And did you see? Did you see his reaction while you were with him? Me?" he says. Even though he was busy hurting that man, he still saw his emotions.
"He's hurting. He wants to be close to you, as if he wants to say something but he keeps his distance from you. Aly, I know how hurt you are... But he's just like you... There's no perfect person in the world. All of us is making mistakes. We can't avoid that, we can't avoid making mistakes. He only made a mistake once, Aly. He deserves a second chance. You just try...but if not really..."
"You stop there..." he added.
It hurts so much to let go of the girl he loves. This is his first love but it turns out that he is destined for others.
He can't do anything but...let it go
"Meet my girlfriend, Mom, Dad. Gennica Dennise del Acosta, and Nica, they are my Mommy Quincy and Daddy Howard," he introduced himself and even though I was shy and nervous, I still approached them.
I kissed his Mommy's cheek and waved to his Dad.
"Nice meeting you, you can just call me Nica," I said with a smile, trying to fight the nervousness.
"Same here, hija," Tito Howard said with a smile. It's okay if I call him uncle, right? He looks nice, but does he have a joker side or something?
"Nice to meet you too. Mrs. Nica, you might change your mind, ah. Our son is--"
"Mom, shut up," King interrupted his Mommy. I returned to my seat and grabbed King's arm.
"King, you're a brokenhearted. We're just thinking about your girlfriend's well being, maybe you're just making her your rebound," Aunt Quincy said seriously. I no longer doubt that matter. Because I know that King's feelings for me are true and he really loves me.
"I was also brokenhearted during our first meeting with King. Do you know the nonsense your son did?" I don't know where I got the courage to talk to them as if I had known them for a long time or as if they were just my friends.
King grabbed my left thigh and squeezed it but I simply slapped it.
"What is that, Nica?" Uncle Howard asked interestedly.
"No wonder our son will do something really silly, hija. That's an inheritance from her Daddy," said Aunt Quincy and glanced at her husband who quickly looked away.
"That's it. He wants to be my rebound even though he told me that he is just like me who is disappointed in love," I continued to babble. In that conversation, they gradually accepted me as their new family.
At that time it was like I was their son and not King. They are talking to me and are just watching us silently while still shaking their heads. His parents' behavior is different from what he told me. Yes, his mommy is strict but considerate. His Dad is a joker. They are easy to talk to.
As I stared at them one by one, their faces were really vying for King. Sometimes when you see him, he looks more like his Daddy, but there are also some facial features of his Mommy that can be seen. His parents are beautiful and handsome.
"Sweety, it looks like the pandesal that our son is doing is my favorite," said Tito Howard.
"Your son, Dad?" King said again.
"Yes. If Nica doesn't change her mind about being with you until she grows up, she will still be your mommy's daughter," her father explained to her.
