Ch. 15Could This Be True?

I woke up the next morning and found myself lying on the Alpha's bed. The one he had told me to make use of last night. As soon as my eyes opened, my memory became blurred momentarily, as I tried to remember how I got to the bed. Clearly, I never remembered walking up to the room and laying on the bed, and neither did I cover myself with any blanket. The only thing I remembered was exchanging some words with Eric before I was hit by a heavy object. So, how did I get here?

I tried to get up from the bed but couldn't. When I looked around to see what was restricting me, to my surprise, my hands had been bounded and chained to the wooden part of the bed. There was no way I could leave that room.
"Help! Help! Somebody help me!" I screamed.
My screams never lasted as Alpha Ammon was sitting close to the door. He had been looking at me the whole time without me noticing.

"Why are you screaming, witch? You Had a bad dream, I guess?"

"Why am I been chained to the bed like an animal?"

"Because you behaved like one last night. You could have killed Derek if I hadn't stopped you. What were you thinking Louis?"

"Oh, I get! You knocked me out! Did you knock me out?" I asked inquisitively.

"Yes, that was the only way to stop your madness. And now your will be bound in chains from henceforth. You will not fold your palms again and create devastating magic spells, neither will you hurt anyone of us again."

I was speechless at that moment. It's glaring to hear him label me as the aggressor, Derek was. "You know I have done nothing wrong to Derek. He attacked me first. I only defended myself from his madness. And now, I'm the aggressor? Are you serious about this? That I will stay with my hands always bound in chains? That's so inhumane!"

"There was no way, Derek could have killed you. I knew what you were capable of. I only allowed that moment to exist because Derek never stops underestimating you. Therefore, I let him have a piece of your cake. However, you went too far and I had to stop you."

"So now what?"

"Your movement will be restricted too. I will always keep an eye on you," he said.

Just then the door opened. Derek and Eric walked in. Eric had a cup of coffee in his hands while Derek looked down at me like he wished I was dead.
"The blood-thirsty witch has awakened," shouted Derek as he sat down on the end part of the bed. Eric was left standing next to the door.
"Hello, Witch!" Continued Derek, "Your skills last night were no doubt impressive. I must tell you at the same time that, it did raise some concerns among us. You are too dangerous to keep, which is why we decided to...."

The alpha quickly intervened. "Stop Derek! This is not the right time for this. Don't let your emotions get the best out of you. Remember our mission: break the curse and go home to fight our fight."

Derek appeared to have heeded the voice of the alpha. But what he intends to tell me before his interruption was something, I already had the feeling. He was probably going to say how they will chop my body into pieces or burn me on a stake. Something they will do immediately, I'm done with breaking the Alpha's curse.
Alpha Ammon had sensed I will become more uncomfortable and that's why he quickly intervened.
On the other hand, I will not be surprised, even if Derek was allowed to make his statement. He already hated me.

"Do you think that locking me up here like a prisoner will serve any of your interests?" I asked.

"What do you want now? I can get anything for you but, be rest assured you will not be unchained," said Eric.

"What do you mean? How am I going to get my female needs attended to? Just tell me how the hell on earth am I going to do that?" slightly annoyed, I queried.

They looked at one other. There seems to be a subtle discussion going on among them. "Can I speak to you, brothers in private?" Requested Ammon. They all walked out of the room.

Eric left the coffee cup he had been holding beside my bed before he left. He was the last person to walk out.
"There you go, Witch! Make sure you drink all of them."
That was so ironic. How feasible was that after, my hands had been tied up? I was craving to drink the coffee but since my movement was restricted, all I did was stare at the cup and swallow my saliva.

Soon, they came back. Derek was smiling around as he walked inside. What were they up to this time? What could be the little magic words the alpha had told them that changed their moods?

Ammon walked close to the bed and sat close to me. "We have decided to release you in the meantime. You must not try anything that will question our generosity."

I kept silent at his words. I never said yes or no. The Werewolves were behaving strangely around me. What could be the sudden change in their attitude?
As I watched, the alpha got close enough and began unlocking the chains in my hands. Soon, I was free.

"Here you go Louis," Eric handed me the cup of coffee he had left on the bed when they walked out of the room, a few minutes ago. This time, he placed the cup directly on my right hand. 'So kind of him,' I thought.
I began sipping the coffee while they all gazed at me with a look I can classify as being friendly.
It was when I had gone half in drinking the coffee did Ammon open up about something on his mind.

"We will go to your town this morning to get the magic book and other materials you have spoken of that will be needful in the ritual.
