I kept a poker face throughout my meal, not minding the occasional stares Alfonso kept throwing my way.
 
I couldn’t believe anyone could fall for what Selena said; what were they worried about? If anything does, you two were popping champagne, happy to have gotten rid of me, but it’s okay; I have another surprise that will break the headlines soon.
I will be back to take my revenge; you know what they say, "revenge is best served cold," and I will make sure to serve it to both of them even if I have to dedicate my life for this revenge.

Sitting down by the lake in my villa, I couldn’t help but think about Rose. The anger I saw in her eyes earlier was huge. I mean, I don’t blame her, but I also can’t believe her ex-best friend and fiance can do something as devious as that to her while she has been nothing but good towards the both of them.
Looking at the beautiful view in front of me, I couldn’t help but feel a bit worried about Rose; she has definitely been through a lot.
Right now she was inside the house, angry at me because I refused to let her go. I made sure to give strict instructions to my security men not to let her out of their sight.
I rub my forehead and frown slightly.
Why am I bothered by what she is going through? It definitely is not my business, so why do I care?
 
I even asked my private investigator to find out information about her and her fiance, and honestly, I don’t even know why. Yes, I did save her, but she is awake now, so there’s no need for me to worry about her any more.
I groaned and ran my hand through my jet-black hair. “What is wrong with me?“ I asked myself, "I have never allowed any woman to step foot in my house before, and here I am keeping this woman locked up in my house."
Even all my mistresses never step foot in my villa, as I considered it my personal place, so why? I asked myself as my mind went back to the conversation I had with her a few minutes ago.
“So what’s your plan going to be?“ I asked her; the cute woman from a while back had now changed into a spitfire woman, her gaze facing outside, glaring into the thin air.
“I don’t know yet, but I do know I have to do something,“ she replied, folding her fingers into a fist. “I can’t let the two of them get away with what they did," she said, looking at me for a while before she continued, "and they need to pay dearly.“
Looking at her, I bit my cheeks to stop myself from smiling at the woman, who looked like she was ready to unleash hell on her ex-best friend and fiance. Putting my head down to hide my face from her, I heard a snorting sound and raised my head back up to see her glaring at me.
“I’m happy that I can make you smile with the situation I'm in,“ she said, glaring at me.
Chuckling   I answered, "Sorry, Signorina, it just can’t be helped.“ giving her my most sexy smile before saying, "Well, you are definitely welcome to stay here for as long as you want until you fully get yourself together and plan together.“
Immediately the words left my mind, and my eyes widened a little as I couldn’t believe I just suggested that to her.
“Why are you being nice to me?" She asked, looking at me curiously.
“Well, I helped you; I might as well be your helper to the end, don’t you think?" I answered, mentally patting myself on the back for coming up with something so easily.
Yeah, right helper, I thought, chuckling at myself as I continued looking towards the lake, picking up a stone and throwing it towards the lake, looking at it run on the surface before sinking into the water.
 
I am definitely not sure why, but I felt a sense of protection towards Rose, and right now I was willing to protect her and keep her safe from the world, to help her out of her misery and help her get what’s rightfully hers from her ex-fiance and best friend back.

 A/N : hey everyone, must you enjoy this chapter, I had to write three thousand and something words today and am tired and exhausted.
Edit: some people saying it's just 3k words, am still a student I have other things to do, so definitely I will tired, so try to understand instead of mocking me. My finger are aching and my thumbs are so stiff, I know am not suppose to be complaining but common I was trying to upload the 5k words quickly, because you guys kept complaining even after I said it wasn't ready, anyway I hope you guys really enjoy it and it's worth the pain.
