Ch. 8Chapter 7

Blaire woke up to the sunlight streaming through her bedroom window. She rose from bed, rubbing her eyes, and quickly got out of bed.

She headed to the bathroom and went through her morning ritual. Afterward, she put on black ripped jeans and a white t-shirt given to her by Aubrey, then faced the mirror. She didn't wear her uniform because there was training scheduled for later.

She brushed her long hair and let it loose. Exiting her room, she descended the stairs and found Aubrey eating in the dining area.

"Morning, Snow. Come, have breakfast," Aubrey invited, so Blaire approached. She sat across from Aubrey and started eating.

"Snow, I heard the Ranking is coming soon," Aubrey broke the silence. Blaire's attention was captured by what Aubrey said.

"What's the Ranking?" she asked curiously.

"In the Ranking, challenges will take place to assess your abilities. If you perform well, you might be transferred to another section. If you earn high points, you could even be moved to the Royalties section, so we need to excel in training to earn high points. But I haven't heard of anyone being transferred to the Royalties yet, but it's okay," Aubrey explained with a smile. Blaire simply nodded and remained silent. This school had four groups: Beginner Class, where Blaire belonged, Class C, which follows Beginner, then Class B, and finally Class A, which includes the Royalties.

They finished eating and then brushed their teeth together. After leaving the dorm, they walked towards their classroom.

As they walked down the hallway, Blaire noticed eyes still watching them, but she ignored them. When they reached their classroom, they took their seats.

Later, their teacher for Physical Combat arrived. This was their only subject for the day because it required a long time to train their combat skills without any powers involved.

"Students, each of you has been assigned a physical combat trainer. Your trainers know who they are assigned to. All I ask is that you show respect to them, clear?" their teacher said.

"Clear!" Blaire's classmates responded enthusiastically, showing their eagerness.

"Okay, head to the arena now to meet your trainers," their teacher instructed, and their classmates eagerly filed out.

"Snow, let's go. Ayieee! I'm excited to meet my trainer," Aubrey said excitedly. Blaire stood up, and they walked out together. Aubrey trotted ahead, seemingly enchanted by the beauty of the black-haired guy who approached them.

"Hi! Aubrey, right?" he asked Aubrey, who simply nodded, as if entranced by the guy's good looks.

"I'm your trainer. Please, follow me," he introduced himself. Aubrey's eyes sparkled, and she nodded eagerly.

"Snow, I'll go ahead," Aubrey said to Blaire, who simply nodded in response. Aubrey hurried off, leaving Blaire behind.

Blaire stood in the middle of the arena, observing her surroundings. She gasped when someone pulled her, causing her to turn her head. She saw Chaos's serious face, his gaze fixed ahead. She tried to break free from his grip, but his hand remained firmly on her arm.

"What do you want?" she asked irritably, struggling to keep up with his fast pace. Chaos stopped walking, causing her to stop too, and he looked at her again.

"I'm not the one who needs you; you're the one who needs me," he said emotionlessly, his gaze fixed ahead.

"What do you mean?" Blaire asked, emphasizing her calling him "your highness." Chaos stopped walking, and Blaire found herself doing the same, and he looked at her again.

"Don’t call me that way," he said firmly, raising a finger in front of her face.

"Tss. What should I call you then?" Blaire retorted. She was annoyed by Chaos's unflinching gaze. She was surprised by her own behavior towards him.

"It’s up to you, just not prince or your highness," he replied. Blaire raised an eyebrow. "Ah, really? Okay, Four," Blaire said without enthusiasm. Chaos's eyes narrowed slightly at her calling him Four.

"Threes, listen. You should cooperate and do what I say because I am your trainer. Understand?" Blaire crossed her arms over her chest, regretting her previous behavior. "Let's go," Chaos said for the second time, pulling her along.

"What's with you? Slow down," she complained, trying to free her arm from Chaos's grip.

She looked around and realized they were no longer in a crowded place. They entered a garden. Blaire was amazed by the beauty of the surroundings. It was flat and had flowers on the sides. The place was so quiet and the breeze was so refreshing.

"What are we doing here?" she asked Chaos while still looking around. She didn't get an answer, so she quickly turned her gaze to him. Their eyes met, and she realized he had been staring at her, leaving her without an answer. She blinked, surprised by this.

"A-ahm… what are we going to do here?" she asked again, feeling confused. Chaos seemed flustered.

"I will teach you here," he replied directly, seeming somewhat flustered.

"Okay, what are we going to do?" Blaire asked again, and she frowned because she realized she was being talkative. She saw Chaos stop.

"We will make a baby," he said mischievously, his lips quirking up. Blaire furrowed her brow even more at his response.

"Make a baby? But didn't you say we're going to do combat first, and our powers are not involved here? How can we make a baby if we're not going to use our powers?" she asked again, feeling puzzled. Chaos laughed softly at her innocence, accompanied by a change in Blaire's eye color to green.

Her heart rate increased, and her eyes changed color again, this time to red. The colors of her eyes kept changing — from green to red. Chaos stopped laughing and looked into her eyes. "Your eyes are really beautiful," he said involuntarily.

"Huh? Why?" Blaire asked because she had no idea why he was staring at her eyes.

"Your eyes turned green and red," he replied, still looking into her eyes. Blaire was surprised by the new red color.

"Are you sure?" she asked, puzzled.

"Yeah," he replied. Blaire looked away, unable to maintain eye contact. She was confused because her heart rate had increased even more.

"W-what are we going to do first?" She was embarrassed by what was happening, so she tried not to look at him.

"Kiss me." Blaire automatically turned to look at him again at his response.

"Kiss? What's that?" she asked, not knowing what a kiss was, so she was even more confused. Chaos smiled, then leaned down and brought his face close to hers, causing her to gasp.

He stared into Blaire's eyes, lowering his gaze until it settled on her lips. Blaire saw Chaos swallow nervously as he stared at her lips.

"What are you doing?" Blaire asked softly.

"You don’t know the word 'kiss' and I guess... you don’t know what a kiss is," he said teasingly, but suddenly straightened up as if he had just realized something.

He quickly stepped back and avoided eye contact. Blaire noticed that the guy's ears and neck turned red. She wanted to ask him if he was feeling unwell, but she chose not to speak.

"Let’s start," Chaos said, motioning for Blaire to follow. She simply nodded in response.
