Ch. 7Chapter 6

"Look at yourselves!" HM angrily shouted at them. They immediately looked at each other, noticing that they were turning red, and felt a tingling sensation all over their bodies. Meanwhile, Blaire and the Royalties stood quietly, shivering now.

"Who did this?" HM asked sternly. Everyone remained silent, no one dared to speak up. "Answer me, or you will all be punished!" he threatened, causing some of them to become fearful. They whispered among themselves, all sharing the same sentiment — they didn't want to get involved.

Blaire heard their whispers. She stepped closer to HM, showing no emotion, which sent shivers down the students' spines as they watched her. The Royalties tried to stop her, but she shot them a cold look, causing them to step back.

"Forgive me for my mistake," Blaire apologized. HM was taken aback by the chill in her voice, feeling like he was talking to a ghost.

"S-so, it was you who did this? Can your apology undo what you did, Ms. Mackenzie?" he asked, trying to restrain his emotions.

Blaire raised her hand, and with a flick of her fingers, the snow disappeared, returning the surroundings to normal, leaving the students amazed. Their HM nodded in approval.

"Good. For now, I will overlook this. Return to your dorms," he ordered, walking away. The Royalties approached Blaire, along with Aubrey.

"Snow, are you okay?" they asked, but Blaire didn't respond. Instead, she excused herself and left.

"I'll go ahead." She didn't even wait for them to reply and walked away.

"Snow, wait!" Aubrey shouted, then said goodbye to the Royalties before following her.

They quickly reached their dorm, and Blaire immediately went into her room. She closed the door and headed straight for the bathroom. She undressed and faced the mirror, staring at her reflection.

Her gaze fell on her chest. She touched the blurry mark shaped like a crescent moon. The only thing she remembered was the phrase "the moon illuminates the darkness," repeated by the people in her dreams.

She took a deep breath and approached the bathtub, filling it with water. She submerged herself, holding her breath because of the cold. Leaning her head against the edge of the bathtub, she closed her eyes.

She dozed off, staying in the bathroom longer than intended. Afterward, she changed into pajamas and was about to lie down when someone knocked on her door.

"Snow, let's eat," someone outside the door said. Blaire walked to the door and opened it, revealing Aubrey's smiling face.

They went to the dining hall together, and upon entering, Blaire's eyes sparkled at the sight of the food laid out on the table, so she didn't hesitate to sit down and start eating.

"I know that's your favorite," Aubrey chuckled.

"How?" Blaire asked simply, and Aubrey sat opposite her.

"Earlier at noon, when you took food from Prince Chaos." She chuckled while recalling what happened, causing Blaire's eyes to turn green again.

"Ayiee, ayiee! He's happy, he's happy," Aubrey teased her.

"No, Aubrey," she denied, though it was obvious.

"Oh, come on, don't pout, or I'll turn you into a doll," she teased, making Blaire quickly retract her pout.

"Let's eat." They started eating, and Blaire eagerly dug in.

Scarllet’s POV
We were all in the dining hall, eating.

"Guys, don't you suspect anything about Blaire?" Parker suddenly asked, catching all of our attention.

"What should we suspect, then?" Lucy asked defensively.

“Aren't you familiar with her presence?” Acel chimed in.

"Yeah, she's like the one in the forest, but she's not bad. The only thing different about her is her strong presence," I interjected, trying to steer the conversation away from dangerous territory. They all nodded except for Chaos, who remained silent.

“Those eyes…” We all turned to Miles at his comment. I couldn't help but smile. When I see him, I feel like I want to float on the clouds.

"Yeah, her eyes are unusual," Lucy agreed.

"You can specify her emotions based on her eyes’ color, right?" Alexis's statement made us ponder.

“I think so,” Sophie replied, nodding.

“She’s bipolar and odd, but I like her,” Alexis said again, chewing.

“Yeah, I agree,” Kade added with a grin. Sophie gave him a sharp look. I just shook my head.

"But I can’t read her mind." We all fell into deep thought at Miles's statement.

"Did you also try? I did too, but I couldn't read her mind," Alexis revealed.

"Maybe—" Kade didn't get to finish his sentence when Chaos interrupted.

“Stop talking. Finish your food,” he said coldly, making us all fall silent.

We finished eating, and someone knocked on the door, so Acel went to check. She soon returned.

"Guys, HM is calling us. The prophecy book has opened again." We all looked at each other in surprise at Acel's statement. Sophie and I quickly cleaned up the dishes and left them in the sink.

"Let's go," I said to them. We left the dorm and headed to HM's office, quickly arriving inside.

"After a long time, the prophecy book has opened again. Come, follow me," he said to us, leading the way. We followed him and stopped at the library in his office, where he pulled out a book and moved it forward. I gasped as the containers of books shifted, revealing a staircase leading down from inside. HM went down, and we followed him.

We were amazed by the number of books surrounding us downstairs. Our attention was caught by one book in the middle, resting on a small table. It was glowing, so we approached it eagerly, but HM reached it before us.

"This is the prophecy book," he said to us. We looked at what was written there.

Venit quod In redemisti
Ipse pellator
Mali re vivo
Test est accedens
Insidiosa est succedunt
Consocaitionis destructa
Poenitentia est percipiunt
Dimitte nam in cor
Praeparabit nam in proelium
Confortabo in sua
Sanguinem nam in success

"Gosh, how are we supposed to understand that? We don't even know Latin." What is this! We're not witches to understand what's written there.

"I brought you here because I want you to visit the witch." Our shoulders slumped at HM's words.

"Where can we find that witch?" Alexis asked disinterestedly.

"On the mountain of Soctum." Our jaws dropped at his response.

"Are you sure? That's a very dangerous place, HM, and why us? There are travelers for that," I complained. There are many fierce creatures there, and I don't want to go to that place.

"You are the only ones who have a chance of getting there. And don't worry because after the Ranking, I'll choose others to accompany you," he explained. We sighed. Even though there are many of us, it's still scary.

"So, we're not leaving now?"

"You're right, Lucy. After the Ranking, you'll leave." We nodded at his answer.

"Let's go so you can rest," HM invited, then walked ahead. We all followed as if we were dropped from the sky, except for Chaos, who remained silent.

We finally reached the surface and left HM's office. We arrived at the dorm and immediately went to our respective rooms to finally rest.
