"And now the last prince summoner! Please come forward, Prince Chaos Four Halton!" the HM announced enthusiastically. The entire arena was filled with deafening cheers and screams, even from the men, but the screams of the women predominated.
Blaire let out a heavy sigh out of annoyance, her eyes turning violet. She glanced at Chaos when he stood up.
"Good luck, Leader!" Scarllet said anxiously.
"Good luck, bro," the male Royalties chimed in.
Blaire raised an eyebrow when he looked at her as if waiting for a favor. She just rolled her eyes because she understood what he was trying to imply. "Good luck," she said irritably. He nodded and immediately teleported to the center of the arena.
The young man's body lit up with flames, eliciting awe from everyone. This was the only unique color of light because it was also based on his inherent power.
After the light disappeared, Blaire's attention was drawn to the creature floating in the air behind Chaos. It was a Phoenix, a magnificent avian creature characterized by its red-orange plumage and long, peacock-like tail feathers. The Phoenix is the most elusive among the four elemental avian demons. Thriving on abundant mana, it possesses the ability to breathe fire akin to a Salamander. According to legends, these beings reside along the edges of active volcanoes in the ether. They are skilled flyers and are impervious to fire. Their innate ability is the power of flames. In combat, they employ talon strikes, pecks, and fiery attacks for both defense and offense.
It flew up the arena and circled around. It quickly descended and entered Chaos's body. The young man even took a step back because of the sudden entry. Blaire just nodded because the creature's temperament matched that of its summoner — fierce and ruthless.
"Your guardian is incredibly fierce and unparalleled, Prince Chaos. Just like you, it's one of a kind. It's extremely powerful in battle and suits you perfectly," the HM commented in amazement. Everyone cheered and clapped once again.
Blaire just rolled her eyes at the screams of the women. But she suddenly held her chest in surprise. The young man suddenly appeared in front of her and just stared at her.
"Bro, your guardian is really fierce," Parker exclaimed in amazement.
"What else can we expect?" Sophie interjected.
"And you, Snow, aren't you going to congratulate your Prince Chaos?" Blaire gave Aubrey a fierce look, who now had a mischievous grin on her face.
"Yeah," Alexis agreed. Blaire just rolled her eyes because Chaos wouldn't die if she didn't comment on it.
She looked at Chaos again, and like before, he was still looking at her. "Tss, sit down, Four," she said unenthusiastically. The young man had no choice but to sit next to her, looking as if he had lost a bet.
"And now! The next section to summon their guardians will be our Beginners!" the HM announced. Some cheered, but others were annoyed because they wondered why the Royalties had to go first, couldn't it be Class B and C first?
The HM began to call Blaire's classmates, and they summoned various types of creatures. Some summoners were still unfamiliar with how to summon their guardians, but they still managed to succeed.
"The next summoner... Lady Aubrey Tsaves!" Blaire immediately turned to Aubrey and saw her surprised expression because she didn't expect to be called.
"Good luck, Aubrey!" Lucy screamed.
Her friend stood up nervously and faced her as if waiting for something. "Good luck, I know you can do it," she earnestly told her. Her friend's face became determined because of what she said, and a smile flashed across her lips as she walked towards the center.
She summoned a creature they did not expect. This guardian was strong, and it wouldn't be considered as just a commoner's guardian. Technically, a princess should be the one owning the creature in front of them, but it was Aubrey who summoned it, and that couldn't be changed.
The creature could be called a Halcyon. It is thought to be the most common of the four elemental avians, with bright metallic feathers that make it shine brilliantly when it flies. With razor-sharp talons, high mana levels, and the ability to fire lightning from its elongated tail feathers, its conspicuousness is its only disadvantage. Ability is Lightning. The skills are flying and immune to lightning. Attack and defense are peck, talons, and lightning. It resembled a phoenix but had slightly different powers it possessed.
Some students were amazed at what they saw, and only a few disagreed because Aubrey was just a commoner.
It flew and circled around Aubrey and then entered her body.
"Amazing! Your guardian is very rare, Lady Aubrey. I didn't expect that only a commoner would own that creature. I'm sorry for thinking otherwise. Perhaps the summoner is also strong, am I right?" the HM commented, and Aubrey shyly smiled at the last question.
"If that's the case, it's not impossible. You may now return to your seat, Lady Aubrey," the HM added. Aubrey walked back, and Blaire saw the joy on her face.
"Congrats, Aubrey!" Lucy and Scarllet cheered.
"Thank you!" she replied with a smile to both of them. It looked at her with a victorious smile and immediately embraced her.
"Thank you, Snow," it sincerely thanked her.
"I haven't even said anything yet, and you're already thanking me?" she said, slightly amused. It then released her from the hug and looked at her with a smirk.
"It's because you're my inspiration, that's why I was able to do it so easily," it said with a smirk.
"So what? Wasn't it just Blaire who wished you good luck?" Lucy interjected with a hint of teasing.
"Not exactly like that, but Snow had the edge," it chuckled.
"Enough of that, you two, sit down," Alexis intervened irritably, so the two of them just nodded. They returned to their seats and focused their attention back to the front.
"The last summoner! Lady Blaire Icefire Snow Peachthrees Mackenzie!" the HM shouted. Blaire admitted to herself that there was a bit of nervousness brewing in her chest because she had never summoned her guardian before. Nevertheless, she didn't let it get to her.
"Good luck, babe," Chaos whispered to her, causing her to startle, feeling his warm breath on her ear. Her slight nervousness only increased, so she immediately stood up.
She teleported herself to the center of the arena out of nervousness. She stood in the middle and looked around. She saw some irritated women looking at her. She was puzzled as to why. She just ignored it and closed her eyes.
She remained with her eyes closed for a few seconds, then opened them, but no guardian appeared. She bit her lip in frustration because she didn't know how to summon one. She lost even more determination because of the whispers around her.
"What's that? She's not even worth it."
"Maybe, her guardian isn't showing up because she's weak."
"I thought she was strong, turns out she's not."
"She only has her looks going for her."
"Get out of here! You have no guardian!"
"Quiet!" the HM reprimanded.
She decided not to let them get to her to succeed in summoning. Blaire concentrated, and the noise in her ears gradually disappeared, so she slowly closed her eyes.
She opened her eyes and was greeted by a breathtaking sight. It was like paradise because of the beauty of the place. She was on a grassy plain with flowers that seemed to be stuck to the grass. She looked around and realized that she was in a circle or in the middle of a forest because there were beautiful trees surrounding her. There were also butterflies around. She felt lighter because of the fresh air.
She straightened up when she heard what sounded like a growl from a large animal. She immediately looked back and saw smoke behind the place where she was standing now. She thought that if the place was beautiful in her direction, now it was the opposite behind the trees.
Her eyes widened when she saw something flying in the sky. It was heading towards her. It was a very large creature.
She lost her surprise and replaced it with awe when she saw it up close when it landed in front of her. It was a beautiful dragon, but its fierce presence couldn't be concealed either. A dragon with blazing blue fire on the sides of its wings and in the middle of its stomach. There was also blazing fire at the top of its body up to its head. It also had green on its two wings, but the white fire on its whole body stood out even more. It also had purple on its tail, grayish feet, and golden fire on each side.
Blaire thought that this was probably the most beautiful dragon in the entire immortal world. Her eyes turned golden without her noticing, and they weren't yellow.
"It's good that you've arrived, Master." She blinked because it called her 'Master' and because it spoke.
"Huh? Where am I? Why are you calling me 'Master'?" she asked confusedly.
"You're in Mergon Paradise, Master, and this is my place. Why am I calling you Master? Because I'm your guardian."
Blaire was surprised by what it said. This dragon was very strong, and it didn't seem to suit her, but it said that it was her master. But she still found it hard to accept what it said. She would admit that she also felt joy because her guardian was very powerful, but she couldn't help but doubt it.
"Why me?" she asked again.
"Because that's what's right. Don't worry, Master, because one day you will understand everything."
She just nodded and ignored the doubt she felt. "What's your name?"
"It's up to you, Master."
She thought about what it said. "How about Sheragon?"
"That's a beautiful name, Master."
She smiled. She felt something different now because she felt very light, and it seemed like she had become stronger.
"Let's go, Master, many are already waiting for us," it said, returning her to the world of reality.
