Blaire took a quick shower and dressed in black jeans and a white hoodie.
She didn't bother to face the mirror, just tied her hair into a messy bun. She also wore her white rubber shoes, all gifts from Aubrey since she didn't have such things back in Ogygia.
She thought she might shop for clothes and shoes today, so she brought some silver coins and tucked them into the pocket of her hood. It was deep enough, so she was confident they wouldn't fall out.
She exited her room and immediately spotted Aubrey, who seemed bored waiting for her. "Oh my! I thought you were wearing something sexy because you took so long, but is that it? You look like you're not even a girl," she lectured. Blaire just raised an eyebrow, causing Aubrey to shut her mouth.
"Let's go," she invited, heading out. Blaire followed, and they walked towards the Royalties' dormitory.
They arrived at the building and Aubrey knocked. After a moment, Lucy opened the door, smiling broadly, and gestured them inside.
"Why are you dressed like that? Do you have plans? Take us with you," Lucy said, grinning at them.
"That's why we're here, to invite you to go to the village so Snow can buy some clothes. She doesn't have any," Aubrey explained. Lucy's face brightened even more.
"Guys! Witches and warlocks! Come down here!" Lucy called out excitedly.
They heard the thundering footsteps coming down. They saw the princesses descending the stairs as if they were going to conquer the world. They immediately looked at them and approached.
"What's up, witch? Why did you call us like there's a war going on?" Scarllet teased Lucy, who just shrugged.
"We're going to the village because Blaire wants to shop, and we're asking if you want to come along. So, let's go," Lucy explained to her friends, grinning.
"Sure. But what about the boys?" Sophie asked.
"Whatever. It's their fault for not coming down," Alexis said rudely.
"Alright, let's go, guys. Let's get dressed," Scarllet urged happily, and they all went back to their rooms. Blaire and Aubrey sat on the couch and waited.
They couldn't help but feel bored because the princesses were taking so long to come down. They glanced at the stairs when they heard footsteps descending.
Blaire raised her eyebrows when she saw it was the princes. They were all dressed up as if they had somewhere to go.
"Oh, where are you guys going?" Aubrey asked in surprise, acting as if she were higher than the princes.
"We're coming," Parker said matter-of-factly.
The princesses soon emerged from their rooms, looking perfectly groomed. They glanced at the boys.
"Oh, where are you going, huh?" Alexis asked sharply.
"We're coming too," Kade replied irritably.
"Tss, we thought you weren't," Scarllet interjected, while Chaos remained quiet on the side.
"Are you just going to talk there? If you don't want to come, you can stay," Aubrey said threateningly, standing up and walking away, followed by Blaire. They quickly followed.
"Alright, of course, we're coming," Lucy said with a grin.
When they reached the dorm's gate, they headed out and now stood on the wide lawn. Some flying creatures approached them and landed in front of them. Blaire was amazed to see pegasus now. She had never seen anything like this before because there were none in her hometown. There were only unicorns in Ogygia, so this was new to her.
The Royalties quickly mounted their pegasi. "Oh, what about Blaire? She doesn't have a pegasus," Lucy said sadly.
"You can ride with me, Snow," Aubrey suggested.
Blaire was about to walk when she saw something flying towards them. Both she and the Royalties were even more amazed when it landed.
"Impossible..." the princesses exclaimed.
"The Legendary pegasus!" Parker said in disbelief.
It approached Blaire, and she blinked when it bowed as if showing respect. It was a beautiful pegasus, with hair like hers and golden eyes. It had a mark on its forehead, half a moon like the one on Blaire's chest, but it was golden. Its wings were mostly blue but with more gold, and its skin was also vibrant gold.
"Wow! Is that for you, Snow?" Kade asked, still amazed.
"I don't know, I just saw it now," Blaire replied weakly.
"Get on, chosen one."
She blinked again when the pegasus spoke in her mind. She didn't show it, but her eyes changed color to yellow. Though confused by what it called her, she still mounted it.
"Prepare yourself, chosen one. We're about to fly," the pegasus informed her, so she grabbed onto its hair. She took a deep breath when it took off. She wanted to scream because her heart felt like it was leaping with nervousness. The others followed suit.
She now had her eyes closed out of fear. She didn't expect riding with these creatures to be like this. She would prefer to just fly herself because she had the ability. Her eyes turned lavender.
"Open your eyes, chosen one," it said, and she hesitated before opening them. She felt dizzy because of the height they were flying, but she quickly adjusted because she was fascinated by the beauty of the scenery below, and she still felt the fresh breeze, so her fear disappeared. Her eyes turned yellow again.
"What's your name, beautiful pegasus?" she called it beautiful because it had a female voice.
"It's up to you, chosen one," it replied in her mind. She thought of a good name.
"How about Sharah?" she asked the pegasus.
"What a beautiful name, chosen one."
Blaire smiled, but it wasn't her genuine smile. She didn't understand why she didn't feel any joy. Her eyes didn't even turn green.
She glanced at Chaos, who was also riding his own pegasus. He looked so serious, with a furrowed brow. She also looked at the others; they were smiling while riding their pegasi. She wondered why she wasn't affected by their happiness, but she just shrugged it off.
"Sharah, why do you call me the chosen one?" she asked the pegasus in surprise.
"Because that's what's appropriate. One day, you'll know, chosen one. Just wait," it replied softly, and she nodded before returning her attention downwards.
"Blaire, how are you? Do you know that pegasus is a legendary one? They say it's just a myth, but it's true," Sophie said with a smile. Blaire blinked as she hadn't even noticed her approaching. She thought she must have been distracted by what she saw.
"I'm fine," she replied shortly. She didn't care if her pegasus was legendary or not. Sophie raised an eyebrow at the lack of emotion in her response.
"Smile, will you?" she heard someone say beside her, and she saw that it was Scarllet. She just rolled her eyes because she couldn't understand why she didn't feel any happiness, even though the scenery was delightful.
"Oh, someone must be on their period," the princess teased. Blaire didn't react, just turned her attention back downwards. The two princesses walked away.
"Chosen one, is there a problem?" the pegasus asked her with concern.
"I just don't understand because despite the beauty of the scenery, I can't feel any joy," she replied, confused.
"It's because someone there is frowning, chosen one, and even if many others around you are laughing, you won't feel joy when that one person doesn't show any emotion or isn't happy."
She furrowed her brow because she didn't know who it was referring to. "Who, Sharah?" she asked the pegasus, confused.
"Think about it carefully, chosen one, and get to know your companions," it replied meaningfully. She glanced at her companions, who were now smiling at her. Her gaze lingered on Chaos, who now showed no emotion.
She remembered what happened at the inn yesterday. She was happy with the other Royalties, but her happiness disappeared when Chaos arrived. She also remembered the day it snowed, and even though everyone around her was laughing, she couldn't even smile, but when Chaos laughed, she caught herself being influenced by him.
She pieced together what had happened, and only one thought entered her mind — she would be happy when Chaos was happy too.
She sighed because he rarely showed emotion. Because of that, her eyes returned to being purple.
