Alexis took a deep breath. “Adrian and I are very curious about the prophecy that links our lives together. Adrian is a vampire, and I am a vampire hunter. Alexis turned her head and looked at Adrian, she was feeling very uneasy right now. She wondered what kind of prophecy would be read and also explained by Serina regarding their lives. The prophecy that brings her and Adrian to meet, and there is the possibility of a war between the evil vampire and the real vampire hunter. "Oh, here it is." Serina muttered not long after that.
Alexis and Adrian immediately looked straight at Serina with their curious eyes. Serina put the ledger back on the table, then slightly pointed it at Alexis as well as Adrian. “In this book it is said that a human who has pure blood is destined to become a vampire hunter. It is even stated that there are only one in a thousand of vampire hunters in this world. And Alexis, you are that one in a thousand.” Serina started to explain.
Alexis and Adrian remained silent while listening to the explanation that Serina told them. “Besides, it is this sacred vampire hunter who is destined to become the life partner of a special vampire. They must unite in this life, if something goes wrong or they don't unite, then there will be no peace between the vampire hunters and the vampires. A great war is bound to happen.”
"A war?" Alexis whispered. She could feel his heartbeat, which was now getting faster and faster. The fear that Alexis was currently feeling was even starting to show in her eyes now.
“There's not much to explain through this book actually. But, I'll try to call my ancestors. She knew all about this prophecy. And hopefully she can help us to know the prophecy even more deeply now. When my ancestors have entered my body, you can ask anything you need and want to know now. "Okay then." replied Alexis and Adrian together.
After that, Serina started to take out a black bag containing the crystal that she had brought with her earlier. Serina also took out all the crystals that were in the bag, then arranged them neatly right on the table. Not long after that, Serina closed her eyes tightly. Muttered as she placed both of her palms there right on the top of the crystal that she had arranged earlier. Alexis instantly felt a chill around her body, it even made her feel a little chilly. But Alexis tried her best not to make a sound because of that. Of course, because Alexis didn't want to disturb the concentration that Serina who was currently summoning the spirits of her ancestors was doing, to be able to help them right there right now.
“Hufttt...” Serina could be heard breathing there slowly. Then Serina was seen starting to open her eyelids and looking right at Alexis and Adrian who were now in front of her. Serina's facial expression turned flat and also cold there. “I know, if you two have a lot of questions about it. Then I'll explain it to you." Serina paused, and her eyes were now starting to go blank. “I helped make the prophecy by pairing Adrian, who is a vampire, with a human who is a pure-blood vampire hunter. This combination will help reconcile the situation between the vampires and the existing vampire hunters. Alexis, your parents died before they could teach you about anything as vampire hunters. But now, with the love that you guys have, you two will be able to face all the things that will happen in the future.”
"Does that mean my mom and dad know about that I'm a vampire hunter?" Alexis asked slowly. Still can't believe the explanation that Serina's ancestor said there.
Serena nodded her head slowly. “They know and are aware of it. Besides, your parents are also vampire hunters, Alexis. Serina then started to look at Adrian. "A war." Serina answered which immediately took Alexis and Adrian by surprise.
"A war? Is that certain to be real happen?” Adrian asked again.
Serina slowly nodded her head there. "Yes. The war between an evil vampires and vampire hunters is certain to happen later. And when the war took place you can only know for yourself. But the prediction has already come true. And I can only assure you that the war will happen sooner or later especially with Cameron's arrival who starts targeting Alexis right now."
Adrian suddenly furrowed his forehead quite deeply. "You know my brother, Cameron?" He whispered and asked.
"Of course. Cameron, your brother is the vampire who killed me." replied Serina's ancestor there.
“W-what? How could that can be happen?” Alexis and Adrian asked together.
“In 1813, when I made this prophecy for Adrian, Cameron found out and was furious. He felt that the psychics in this world were unfair to him, for not making the same predictions as I did for Adrian. I explained that Cameron couldn't have the same prophecy because he wasn't a special vampire. But Cameron's anger and envy completely darkened his eyes. He killed me by drinking my blood, he thought that in that way the prophecy for Adrian would be cancelled. But that will never gonna happen. And before my breath stopped I cursed Cameron." Serina paused.
Adrian looked tense, several times he blinked his eyelids. "What is that curse about then?" Adrian whispered. Even though I couldn't really hear it any better. Moreover, Cameron is still his brother, even though he hates Cameron.
Serina started to smile a little. “I cursed him that his death would be even more painful, because there was foreign blood flowing in his body. He will die with regrets that are too late.”
"What foreign blood are you talking about?" Alexis started asking. Now she was feel so curious about it.
“That is your pure blood, Alexis. The pure blood of vampire hunters. But he will never know that. It was on the very day of his death that he realized his own death.”
