Ch. 14Tara's early childhood

Tara used to not go to anyone in her house, holding Mrs. Ahmed's clothes and walking behind her all day long, so as much as Mrs. Ahmed used to walk around the yard and outside the house while working, Tara followed her mother all day long. But when Mrs. Ahmed went to her parent's house, Tara would be very happy with everyone there and would start crying on returning from the grandparental house.
Mr Ahmed woke up when he thought that "Tara does not like my family but she is happy with her grandmother and her family. What is the reason behind this?"

Mr Ahmed started scaring this child so that "she will become familiar with us through fear" but children do not understand through fear they can be adopted only through love.
Now, if Mr Ahmed would call Tara to scold her, tears would flow from her thick eyes, she would have a smile on her lips and she would start trembling.
Parents would be scared to see her tears.

A thought was bothering him "If Tara is my blood and she is my real daughter, why doesn't she understand my love and get familiar with me?"
Because of this, Mr and Mrs. Ahmed often quarreled and Tara became more afraid of this thing.

Mrs. Ahmed explained to Tara very much "He is your father, he will not kill you, go to him, he loves you very much" but Tara started crying out of fear.

Mr Ahmed's sisters used to go to school and Tara was three years old then, so Mrs. Ahmed sent her to school with them.
When she came back from school, Mr Ahmed would listen to lessons from his sisters and when it was Tara's turn, she would cry and forget all things due to fear, although she seemed to remember the whole lesson. Mrs. Ahmed could not bear Tara's tears, so she caught her book, tore it into pieces, and threw it away, on which Mr Ahmed got very angry so, he slapped Mrs. Ahmed.
Tara started crying and went out of her house to her aunt's home.

Apart from her father, now she was familiar with everyone and even went to school but she never got close to her father and never got his love.
Tara's younger sister Soni was also born and she started growing up with time.
Mr Ahmed then one day tied Tara's hands and feet and lifted her on his shoulder and went to a well where he took a rope and tied Tara to the rope and hung her in the well and said "Now Will you come to me or not?"
Then someone rescued Tara from Mr Ahmed and they came home, she was very afraid and trembling continuously.
This was the last attempt that Mr Ahmed made to bring Tara to him and this effort made Tara away from Mr Ahmed, her father forever.

There was always this fear in her heart and she was always trembling.

In school, the teachers would also ask her "Tara! You are so intelligent, then why are you afraid of all of us? Why are you trembling all the time?"
She would have remained silent on this because she did not know the answer.

Now, Tara also had a younger sister and two brothers and she was growing up but with Mr Ahmed, she lived like a stranger.
Mr Ahmed was also very fond of love with small children but would not even talk to Tara.

Time was passing at its own pace and while she was developing physically and mentally with her age, the distance and fear of Mr Ahmed was also increasing.

Tara's every need was met, food on time, medicine when she was sick, her education expenses, her good clothes, even everything that a child needs to lead a good life was provided to Tara, but never tried to give her love that's was much needed than anything.

At Start, Tara thought it all very well that the person she was afraid of would not come near her, but with time, her mind changed and she began to miss her father's love since childhood.
She was a little different from the rest of her childhood because she never played with toys. She spent her childhood holding her mother's pillow and then had to resort to school to escape Mr Ahmed.
She did not make any mischief so that Mr Ahmed would not scold her. She started working with her mother because the younger siblings also had to be taken care of by her mother after her school work.

When Mrs. Ahmed would come to the room and lie down after finishing work, Tara would come near to her and press her mother with her little hands and feet.

Everyone at school knew her as Mr Ahmed's daughter, but she knew nothing else without Mr Ahmed's name.
She used to prepare all the school work very well so that no teacher would tell her father and he would not scold her.

While Mr. Ahmed's talismanic tone made Tara wiser than her age, it also instilled in her a fear that grew with time.
To make up for Mr Ahmed's lack of love, she loved everything, like hiding her school bag in her bed at night so it would not get cold.

In the third grade, a team visited the school and one of the teachers there appreciated Tara's writing immensely, they declared students like Tara are precious assets for the future. In this class, she got the second position.

In fourth grade, Tala changed the section in the class just so that she could study with female teachers because she was afraid of the male caste. The class in charge takes care a lot of Tara but when she changes sections he feels very bad and gets angry with Tara.

One day this teacher hit Tara for some mistake and she started crying. When she came home, Tara was asked why she was crying. She said that such and such a teacher had hit me. Mr Ahmed reached the teacher's house and said, "If you touch Tara even after today, no one will be worse than me".

Mr Ahmed did not talk to Tara, but he loved his daughter immensely. He didn't want to give any bother either.
Anyway, she was in the first position in the class but Mr Ahmed did not praise Tara and did not hug her happily. Something was missing.

In the 5th grade, Mr Ahmed admitted his children to a good institution to give them the best education so that they could have a bright future. He used to drop and fetch the children from home 15 km away from home every day while facing many difficulties. But nothing was more important to him than their children.

In the institution, Tara had a lot of trouble because she was shy and then Tara was nervous about adjusting to so many new people.
She used to cry a lot while going to school and she used to forget the lesson due to her fear of the teachers.

This time, Tara had to take the board exams but she had no experience of this. The documents that were asked for admission earlier, Tara was scared and did not ask for the full papers from home and the principal wrote the wrong date of birth on her admission form. The admission was sent.

Mr Ahmed himself used to go with Tara to the examination hall.
At that time, Tara needed Mr Ahmed's love to give her courage, but she looked at Mr Ahmed in the exam room with a sad look, she watched him while going out.
During the exams, Mr Ahmed also introduced Tara to his teachers her fellows would bring fruits and food with her and Tara would sit quietly, she would not eat or drink anything due to fear and nervousness because the most need was the love of Mr Ahmed not things or people.

On the way, Mr Ahmed and Tara went back together, but both father and daughter did not even talk to each other until they reached home.
