Ch. 15Part 15

Today is Gadi's first day following Natalie. He starts following Natalie from her home to the boutique.

Natalie doesn't suspect anything at all; she goes about her day as usual. Especially on that day, she is very busy with many customers coming in, some of them preparing dresses for weddings.

Natalie seems to be enjoying her work at that moment. Currently, she is assisted by some employees she personally recruited. Therefore, Hans rarely invites Natalie to be intimate in the boutique.

Gadi continues to monitor Natalie's movements from inside the car while eating a piece of bread and a box of milk.

...

Until the evening arrives, Gadi is seen having already changed his car. He did this so that Natalie wouldn't notice that she was being observed by someone.

Sure enough, Natalie is still unaware that someone is following her. She does everything as usual.

A few minutes later, Hans arrives and parks his car. Natalie welcomes Hans at the door. Hans hugs Natalie and kisses her cheek. Seeing this, Gadi quickly takes a photo of them using his camera.

Inside the boutique,

"Have you eaten?" Hans asks Natalie.

"Emm, not yet, today has been very busy. Some customers need to prepare dresses for their weddings," Natalie playfully replies to Hans.

"Alright, let's have dinner together," Hans invites while caressing Natalie's head with a loving gaze.

"Emmm!" Natalie nods in agreement to Hans's invitation and grabs her bag to leave.

Seeing them leaving the boutique, Gadi immediately accelerates his car to follow Hans and Natalie.

Arriving at the restaurant, they order food and a glass of wine. "How was your day?" Natalie asks Hans while enjoying her dinner.

"Just normal, nothing special until I met you," Hans replies, flirting with Natalie, smiling mischievously.

"Ha ha ha, you're quite skilled at sweet-talking," Natalie teases.

They smile and appear happy at that moment, while Gadi, who has entered the restaurant, observes them seriously.

Shortly after, Natalie's phone vibrates indicating a received message.

"Someone is following you," that's the content of the message apparently sent by Evan. Natalie looks surprised when she opens the message and quickly replies, "Where are you?" she asks Evan.

"I'm outside, just continue, I'm also observing you two," Evan replies.

Natalie puts her phone away again, and Hans, curious, immediately asks, "From whom?" he inquires.

"Oh, it's a customer ordering a dress. They want more detailed features, you know, customer demands, ha ha," Natalie replies, making up an excuse.

"Stay spirited! You have to work even harder," Hans encourages Natalie.

"Of course. Oh, can you take me home? I don't know why, but I'm afraid to go home alone," Natalie asks Hans.

"Ha ha, just say if you want to spend more time with me," Hans teases Natalie.

...

After dinner, Hans escorts Natalie home. And Natalie quickly enters the house.

Inside, Evan is already waiting for Natalie. "Natalie," Evan greets and walks towards Natalie. "How was it? Do you know who that person is?" Natalie asks straight to the point.

"Not yet, but I'm sure he has been following you all day," Evan replies.

"This morning, I was going to pick you up, but you had already left, and there was someone following behind your car. I was behind your car, and I don't think he was aware of my presence. So, I stayed a bit far from your boutique. Then, around noon, he left and changed his car. I think it's so you wouldn't notice his presence," Evan explains.

"Thank you, Evan. Without you, I don't know what he would have done," Natalie replies, hugging Evan.

"No, don't thank me. It's my duty. I haven't been protecting you well all this time, so bad things happened to you," Evan says, hugging Natalie tightly.

Upstairs, Mr. Mac is seen observing them, and he approaches them.

"Wow, these two couples are so intimate, ha ha ha," Mr. Mac teases Natalie and Evan.

"D-dad," Natalie is surprised and releases her hug, as does Evan, who reflexively moves away from Natalie.

"Natalie, no, I mean... Jessie, don't endanger yourself again. Do you remember what Hans did to you? Don't let it happen again. I've been taking care of you these past few years, and I feel very happy. My loneliness has turned into happiness. In this big house, I hear voices other than the servants. It's better if you stop this, Jessie," Mr. Mac says.

...

(Flashback a week before Hans's birthday party)

"What? Why did Jessie transfer all the property ownership? Has she lost her mind? I am her husband. Even though all these properties are from her father, at least she should discuss it with me," Hans grumbles angrily upon learning that 80% of the properties they own have become Jessie's sole ownership, with only a stamp owned by Hans.

Hans wonders what made Jessie suddenly do this, as Jessie has never once mentioned the joint assets they own.

Eventually, Hans takes the initiative to check the CCTV in his office. Hans finds footage on the day Jessie found out about his affair.

At that time, Jessie entered Hans's office. Shortly after, Hans and Maria entered and engaged in intimate activities.

Understanding the situation and his current position, Hans begins to devise a plan.

He plans to poison Jessie, but he finds it advantageous because it will be detected during the autopsy. Hans then thinks about his wicked plan with Maria.

...

Days pass, and the day of Hans's birthday party arrives. In the morning, Jessie is busy preparing all the event arrangements, from the properties to the evidence she will present to the public.

Hans, who knows about it, immediately approaches Jessie and says that there are some items he hasn't prepared for the guests.

"Darling, I have to go buy some souvenirs for the guests. I don't think this will be enough; you know how many acquaintances we have," Hans says to Jessie.

Natalie, who doesn't want Hans to leave the house for various reasons, volunteers to go and find the missing souvenirs.

"No need, rest here. I'll go find them," Jessie replies, quickly grabbing her bag and car keys.

"Sweetie, but it's almost dark. I don't want anything to happen to you," Hans acts as if preventing Jessie from leaving.

"It's okay, wait here!" Jessie instructs Hans and leaves promptly.

After a few minutes of Jessie leaving the house, Hans follows her with various excuses.

Hans sends a message to Jessie and his son-in-law to walk a bit farther from the initial destination.

"Darling, I promised to buy souvenirs at my friend's store. I feel bad if I don't buy them," Hans's message to Jessie reads.

"Okay, just send the address," Jessie replies, focusing on driving again.

Jessie goes to the address that Hans sent her, passing through empty streets as it's already getting dark.

While driving, Jessie is startled by another car suddenly hitting her from behind, causing her car to be thrown to the edge of the cliff.

At that moment, Jessie is still conscious, with only a cut on her forehead

. Fortunately, the airbag in her car works well.

Jessie quickly puts her phone in her bag, afraid that robbers might try to steal her belongings.

She gets out of the car while staggering. With a blurry vision due to the impact, she sees a very familiar figure.

Hans and Maria approach Jessie, who walks unsteadily. "She's still alive," Maria says.

"H-Hans," Jessie calls, "Is that you?" she continues.

"Yes, darling, forgive me. I had to do this because you suddenly did something bad to me," Hans says with a terrifying expression.

"Hans, you're the one doing wrong to me. Why are you accusing me?" Jessie asks while holding back her pain.

"Jessie! Did I divorce you? No, right? You're the one who will do it. That's why you transferred our property ownership," Hans scolds Jessie while grabbing the collar of her dress.

"Hans, you will pay for all your wicked deeds!" Jessie says to Hans, tears of anger streaming down her face.

"What? What should I pay for? You will die, and no one will know, right? You will be considered dead because you were attacked by a group of robbers, ha ha ha. Do you think I didn't think about this? You chose the wrong opponent, Jessie," Hans says, then slaps Jessie until she faints.

Jessie, who is now unconscious, is put back into the car, and they push the car off the cliff.

Hans and Maria feel satisfied and return to Jessie's house as if nothing happened.
