Ch. 10Part 10

The next day, Maria prepared to visit Natalie's boutique. Maria tried to remain calm this time; she didn't want to appear foolish in front of Natalie due to her emotions.

Maria arrived and parked her car. She walked with her head held high, staring at Natalie's boutique.

From inside the boutique, Natalie was already aware of Maria's arrival, thanks to the front glass that directly faced outside.

Natalie took a deep breath and walked over to welcome Maria.

"Wow, we have a guest. Please come in, ma'am!" Natalie welcomed Maria with a gentle tone.

Without saying anything, Maria entered and sat on the sofa provided in the room.

"How did you know I opened a boutique here?" Natalie asked while placing a cup of tea in front of Maria.

Maria still didn't answer Natalie; she was busy rolling her eyes and looking around.

"Your taste is also good," Maria complimented Natalie.

"Thank you, ma'am. Maybe you'd like to try one?" Natalie politely offered.

"No, I mean, your taste in men is very good," Maria clarified, staring sharply at Natalie.

"Oh, ma'am, I don't understand what you mean," Natalie said, although she already knew the direction of Maria's conversation.

"Don't act dumb. You know what I mean, right? Your messages, I'm the one responding to them," Maria began to steer the conversation in a certain direction.

Natalie, who was sitting calmly before, started crossing her legs.

"Why? Is ma'am disturbed by my taste?" Natalie asked, provoking Maria's emotions.

"Disturbed, you say? He is my husband, you wench! Of course, I'm disturbed," Maria started raising her voice.

"Hah, we should have continued our affair some time ago. Just because you sabotaged my message to Mr. Hans, we had to skip it again," Natalie continued to attack Maria with ambiguous words that made Maria more and more angry.

"W-what are you talking about?" Maria began to stutter, afraid that they had gone too far.

"Ha ha, do I need to explain it in detail, Mrs. Maria?" Natalie laughed mockingly, making Maria even more speechless. Her lips were gaping as if she couldn't believe her husband was cheating on her.

"I heard you also got Hans this way, right? So why are you worried?" Natalie said, laughing softly.

Maria couldn't stand Natalie's words. She got up from her seat and left Natalie with frustration.

Natalie looked very satisfied with what she had done, especially seeing Maria so affected by her words.

...

Elsewhere, Hans seemed busy with his work. He was checking some files that needed his approval.

Soon after, the silence in Hans's office turned into chaos after Maria arrived.

"Bang!" the sound of the slamming door startled Hans. He immediately looked towards the source of the sound. Apparently, his wife came with an angry face.

Hans looked confused seeing Maria, who seemed very upset.

"Darling, why are you here?" Hans asked, getting up from his chair and walking towards Maria.

"Slap!" a hard slap landed on Hans's cheek. Hans was surprised and held his throbbing cheek.

"What is this? Why did you slap me?" Hans asked with a slightly raised voice.

"You, shameless man! What have you done with Natalie, huh? Are you seducing that woman? Or is she trying to seduce you?" Maria asked, burning with jealousy.

"W-what are you talking about? I don't understand what you mean!" Hans tried to evade.

They both fell silent. Hans felt annoyed with Maria, and he began to suspect his wife.

"You? Did you visit Natalie again?" Hans asked.

"Yes! I know you went with her to look for a building, right? Don't deny it! Natalie herself told me," Maria's words made Hans even more annoyed because he didn't want to make Natalie uncomfortable.

"Stupid! Why are you doing this? What's on your mind, huh? Why are you doing this? What's wrong if I help Natalie, huh? Her father easily helped your company! Remember that!" Once again, Hans didn't defend his wife; instead, he blamed her.

"You? Remember what I'll do regarding Jessie's death!" For the second time, Maria threatened Hans with the same thing. Maria's words made Hans even angrier; he held his forehead, feeling a heavy burden.

Maria left Hans's room with her overflowing anger.

Instead of chasing after Maria, he called Natalie.

In Natalie's boutique, she saw her phone ringing. She smiled.

"Has there been a fight between you two?" Natalie answered the call.

"Hello?" Natalie greeted.

"Natalie, can we meet?" Without any hesitation, Hans invited Natalie to meet.

"Of course, sir. Didn't I send a message yesterday for you to come here?" Natalie replied. "Alright, come to my boutique!" Natalie then hung up the phone.

Without waiting long, Hans immediately drove from his car to Natalie's boutique. He drove his car with a worried and angry expression.

"Natalie said she sent a message to me, but I didn't receive it at all. Is this Maria's doing?" Hans wondered to himself. He tried to stay calm, but he couldn't hold back his anger and confusion.

After a few minutes of driving, Hans arrived at Natalie's boutique. At that time, the boutique was very quiet; there were no customers or employees. Natalie invited Hans to enter her office.

"Sir, please come in!" Natalie invited.

Hans followed Natalie's request and entered Natalie's office.

"Forgive my wife's behavior towards you," Hans apologized without any preamble.

Natalie, who had previously looked fierce and cunning towards Maria, now turned into a very gentle and weak Natalie.

"Sir!" Natalie said, hugging Hans and crying.

Hans accepted Natalie's hug and reciprocated it, as if they were lovers who hadn't met for a long time.

"Sir, I miss you so much. Since we were looking for this building, you disappeared somewhere, so I sent a message to you, but it wasn't you who came here; it was Mrs. Maria. I was very scared, sir," Natalie complained to Hans with her tearful voice.

"Let it go, don't worry about her. Forgive me; many things are on my mind, so I didn't contact you. This is all my fault," Hans said, continuing to hold Natalie tightly.

Natalie slowly let go of Hans's hug and began to look at his face.

"Sir, what does my existence mean to you?" Natalie asked Hans.

"You are a diamond that I have just found. No woman can steal my heart as fast as you did," Hans replied, staring deeply into Natalie's eyes.
