When I didn't act immediately, he looked at me seriously. When what happened yesterday flashed back to me, I was scared and rushed to Chef Adams.
It's hard and he might even report me to Magnus.
In my current situation, my stubbornness and strong-willedness will do nothing to escape this place. The only thing I can do to save myself is to maintain my low-profile. At that time, Magnus Haven didn't even notice me anymore.
I looked at Chef Adams who taught me one by one what I should do. At first I had a hard time but because I was persistent in doing my job right I was able to cook right. Thank you and Chef Adams taught me well.
If I'm not mistaken they look almost the same age as Magnus. Chef Adams has an appearance and a large body that suits his job. There must be a lot of people chasing this guy.
When Chef Adams finished serving what I cooked, he wiped his hands. He took a spoon and scooped what I cooked. He turned to me and gave me a small smile.
"Let's see if you will be impressed with your own cooking," he promised.
He brought the spoon to my lips as if he was saying he was going to taste me. At first I was still surprised because of his behavior but because I thought he was a chef and usually it is normal for them to behave like this, I also smiled.
I nodded proudly in my eagerness to taste what I cooked. "Thank you, Chef Adams."
I was about to take a bite of that spoon when suddenly someone took Chef Adams's hand that was holding the spoon causing my mouth to gape in the air.
I looked at the man holding Chef Adams' hand until I stopped when I saw Magnus Haven in front of us. His face was emotionless as he held Chef Adams' hand.
Magnus looked at the spoon. He took a bite out of it and let Chef Adams go.
His gaze creeps towards me as he spits out food. "You don't expect me to eat some shit everyday, don't you?" he promised coldly. "From now on, you will no longer be the one to prepare and deliver food to my room. I won't see you in this place anymore. Do you understand?”
Although I was surprised by what was happening, I immediately bowed for fear that I would exhaust his patience. “Yes, Magnu-… Yes, A-Alpha.”
There he seriously turned his back on us and walked out of the kitchen, but he also stopped in front of the door to say, "Follow me."
I looked at Chef Adams. He just smiled at me and motioned for me to follow Magnus. I swallowed hard and followed Magnus out of the kitchen.
Five minutes later.
Magnus and I were walking down the long hallway in silence. He was ahead of me while I deliberately slowed down my walk just so I wouldn't touch him. No matter what I do, everything that happened last night keeps appearing in my memory. To me it was a great shame that my moans meant that I wanted what Magnus had done to me. Bullshit.
When we got to the balcony, Magnus immediately went straight to the table to sit there. He took the cup from the table and took a sip of coffee. Meanwhile, I just bowed for fear that he would see the red of my cheeks.
"Starting today you will be my little brother's nanny," he suddenly said causing me to stop.
I looked at Magnus but he was now looking outside the balcony where a tree house could be seen in the distance. There I saw through the window of the tree house a boy who was busy drawing.
Magnus has a little brother?
"Make sure to take care of him," he added, and I could hear the warning tone of his voice. “He's the only heir of BloodPearl Pack so make sure you do your job perfectly. Understood?”
When I heard that I looked at Magnus. So, he doesn't want to have a son? I thought.
But I snapped out when Magnus looked at me with a serious face. Only then did I realize that he had been waiting for my answer.
I bit my lip and bowed in confusion. "Yes, Alpha."
Magnus stared at me for a few more seconds. I wonder if he remembers what he did last night but if so, I want to sink into the ground now and never show up to him.
But just a moment later, the wilderness I was feeling suddenly turned upside down when one of Magnus's comrades arrived. He bent down to whisper to Magnus. Until I saw Magnus's face light up. He dismissed his comrade and looked at me.
"Do you have any idea what a syndicate does?" he asked me, but he didn't wait for my answer when he spoke, "They are collecting poor omegas to trade with rogues syndicate in an exchange of huge dirty money."
I became serious when I remembered that stealing from the poor omegas in our pack became fashionable. Dad told me that evil kidnappers sell that Omega to rogues just for a lot of money. He further said that he finds it difficult to catch those syndicates because they are from a strong pack and they have a lot of protection.
Honestly, I felt sorry for Dad when he told Freya and me about that. And even though he doesn't show emotion, I can clearly see the tiredness in his eyes. I know that even though Dad is so strict, I know that he understands Freya and I's well-being, he just puts his job first as an Alpha. How big your responsibility is to be an Alpha.
I wonder if Mom is still alive? The Luna of our pack. It's sad because Dad can't tell anything about Mom apart from the fact that she died giving birth to Freya and me. Maybe if Mom is still alive, she can take care of Dad and our family's situation will be better.
