Because of that thought, I accidentally loosed my grip on the tray so, it fell and the dishes broke one after another. The noise echoed in the corners of the room. Until the two finally got interrupted and looked at me.

I came back to my senses when the girl on Magnus’ lap suddenly called me.
“Freya Eveleigh?” she said.
She immediately jumped out from bed to come close and see me clearly. I didn’t move for a second because of shock.
“Oh, god. The Alpha managed to capture the princess of Sonorous,” she whispered, then she held both of my arms. “Can you still remember me?”
I shook my head shyly. “Not really,” I said.
I looked at her again. I didn’t remember Freya made friends with BloodPearls, so how—
“I am Artemis Williams, your childhood best friend. You kidding me?” she seriously asks. “We were both 16 when your father kicked my family out from Sonorous Pack. And before I left, you have promised me something, still remember?”
Behind Artemis, I saw how Magnus Haven calmly stands up and crosses his arms. He looked at me from head to toe like he will gonna enjoy watching me and my reactions all day.
“I…” I laughed. “Of course, I still remember. You know I was just kidding. Thank god I found you.”
Artemis then smiled at me and so did I. But Magnus interrupts us and said, “What did you promise to her then?”
I looked at him, so he looked at me too. Artemis waited on my respond.
I felt nervous. I tried to think but I was loss of words!
Later on, Magnus spoke again. “Nah. I’m tired. You can leave my room now, Artemis.”
Artemis just nodded and walked away to leave the room. Damn. How can she follow him that easily with no buts? Does she really miss her best friend?
Hey, don’t leave me! I thought in head as I quickly cleaned up my mess to follow her. I was about to hold the doorknob but that didn’t happen when Magnus Haven pushed the door and bang—it got closed.
Now, I could feel his body touching my back and the fact that he was cornering me backwards with so much sass, I couldn’t help but to just bit my lower lip.
Magnus then came close to my ear. His minty warm breath touched my skin that made my adrenaline rushed into my veins that pumped my heart and feel goosebumps.
“When I was chasing you earlier,” he said in a cold tone of voice, “something changed to you.”
My eyes widened as he spoke again.
“Now, tell me before it’s too late … who really are you?”

I gulped and closed my eyes.
I am now locked in the arms of Magnus Haven. And if I make one wrong move, he will definitely not let me out of this room alive.

Now, he is asking me who I am. And knowing that Alpha has big senses. So, even though I have faced the same with his mate, it is impossible for Magnus not to sense I am no longer his mate. Damn!
But no, it's not the best time for me to get exposed! I need to see and talk to my twin sister first to clarify what she is planning.
I took a deep breath. And just a few moments later I faced Magnus. But when I realized that our faces were so close to each other, I swallowed.
His faces were serious. His dark eyes that resembled the dark night just stared directly into my eyes. As if that way he could dig up something that would tell him what I was thinking.
"Your skin changed into pale," Magnus added coldly. "And you ran weak compared to the first time you ran away to escape from me."
I stopped in shock. I looked at my skin and he was right, it was pale. If Freya and I have any difference when it comes to physical appearance, it's that I have pale skin. I do not know. When I was young, this was my color. Maybe because I don't have wolf abilities? So I'm just a weak creature.
"Too weak to be my Luna," Magnus whispered, and I heard the disgust in his voice the reason why I became serious.
I resisted his looks. "I am Freya Eveleigh," I boldly promised in front of her. “I can bite wild animals in the abandoned forest just to satisfy the children who want to eat meat. I can get past outsiders cheering on my kind. I can swallow anyone who tries to harm my territory. And most of all…” I caught my breath because of that. "And most of all, I can eat anyone who judges and belittles me!"
That's when I saw how Magnus' face changed. That was replaced by a frown as if he wanted to think I was going crazy.
I continued, "So, don't you think I am just an ordinary wolf, because you are mistaken, Magnus," I said in a warning tone of voice. But despite that, I was nervous. "Because I am..." I gulped. "I am a woman who is not afraid of anyone, even if she is an Alpha!"
Magnus's frown gradually disappeared. Silence reigned. We stared at each other for a few seconds while he still cornered me with both arms.
"You are really interesting," he suddenly whispered.
I expected him to get mad at me but... no! He just stared at me as if there was interest in my face.
I held my breath.
And just for a moment, Magnus calmly closed his eyes and slightly approached my ear to whisper to me.
"And what caught me is the way you call me just by my name, how bold." I heard him grin.
No, no, no! I thought in panic.
I could feel from his voice and his touch the displeasure of what I did to disrespect him.
That's when Magnus faced me again, our faces now closer than before. Magnus opened his eyes. When he woke up, I saw again how his eyes glowed in red color that looked like living blood. He looked at me honestly.
Because of the closeness of our faces, I realized that I was admiring Magnus's handsomeness.
"Well I guess," he spoke in a deep tone of voice, "it's time for me to teach you bow for your Alpha."
