But then someone came and called Magnus Haven.
“Alpha.”
With the man’s appearance, I come to know he is Magnus’ beta.
“I’ve already known who she is,” the man said, “She’s the popular princess of the Sonorous Pack—”
Magnus immediately raised his hand to stop him.
Magnus straightened up and wiped the blood from his lips. “I know,” he calmly said.
He put the dagger back to its case and right after he turn his gaze to me, his eyes became dark-dead serious. “And how fortunate I am to see the only daughter of Sonorous Pack’s Alpha wandering in my territory,” Magnus added.
I stopped because of that as I felt the tense flowed on my veins. The darkness of Magnus Haven’s eyes makes me want to rethink what Dad just said to me before I left the palace.
Now with the idea that I was a member of Sonorous Pack, the pack they were holding strong grudges with since then just because of f.ucking territory, I would be definitely dead in just one wrong move.
It’s too late to run away anyways, now that I’m here, locked by the fate to become Freya’s substitute, and to be the Alpha’s mate impostor.
Telling them the truth wouldn’t be a good idea, for now. Pretend is how I can possibly save my family: Freya Eveleigh, her pup, and also myself; against the danger that Magnus’ possessed.
‘Now, behave, Mia. Be a good girl,’ I thought in head.
I breathed deeply, then looked at Magnus Haven shyly, and said, “I am sorry … I was lost. I shouldn’t come here.”
He grins with sarcasm on his tone. “A weak like you couldn’t be my Luna,” he said. “My wolf even couldn’t find where your she-wolf is. And it’s kinda mysterious…”

Magnus Haven then gave his comrades a look and said, “Seize her.”
That’s when two men came to my back and held both of my arms. They tied it. And I was shocked. I looked at Magnus Haven in disbelief. But he just ignored me and walked away.
Hey, what in earth? I thought. Is he trying to say that he’s gonna reject my twin sister? And what was this tie for?
Thirty minutes later.
I was blindfolded when they dumped me into somewhere. I heard some women’s scream that seemed surprised by my appearance. Then I heard the two men who brought me here already step away.
After that, someone untied my hand and removed my blindfold. I blinked thrice and after I could finally see something, my eyes widened.
I was dump at this luxurious and prestigious kitchen. And I know this kind of kitchen exist only in the packhouse.
I gave a look in my front. I saw some maids that is now looking at me maliciously. They murmured. I’ve heard them mentioning Freya’s name which doesn’t surprise me.
Meanwhile, a girl that is in her mid-20s came out. She throws me pieces of clothes—or I must say uniform that specialized for maids.
“I am, Cathy, the highest servant in this packhouse. From now on, you’ll be part of us,” she boldly said. “Remember that you should wake up at 4 o’clock every day to prepare the Alpha’s breakfast and medicines. Same with refreshments and dinner directly on his room. Take note that you must first taste it all before serving it to him for … you know … avoid such poisoning.”

The girl named Cathy started to walk back and forth without cutting her look at me. “Aside from that, you’re going to wash a hundred dishes, wash a hundred royal clothes, and mop a hundred thousand square meters of floor. Every. Single. Day. Understood?” she said.

With so much judgement in Cathy’s eyes, she looked at me from head to toe. “Don’t expect us to treat you like a royal highness here. This is not Sonorous Pack. You’re no longer a princess—a slave rather?” Then she laughed … all of them laughed at me.
Just a few moments, Cathy crossed her arms and walked closer to me. “I heard tho,” she started, “that you offered the Alpha to have sex with you? And that … you are his mate? Geez, the audacity you have.”
Then, she pushed me hard so I fell on the ground. She quickly grabbed a bowl full of flour and poured it into my body. I coughed because of that.
I wanted to fight back and punch this woman’s little ass but I can’t. I am feeling weak right now with so much hungry. I haven’t eaten breakfast and lunch for a day because of that narcissistic Alpha.
Oh, Moon Goddess. Magnus Haven is crazy. What does he up to? Is this how he going to treat me because I am below his standards to be his Luna?
I shook my head. Crap it. As if I wanted to.
Cathy smirked and said, “It’s time to bath yourself and prepare Alpha Magnus’ dinner. Good luck, slave princess.”
After bathing and fixing myself into the maids’ ward, I came back to the kitchen. There is Chef Adams who prepared the dinner already. Well, luckily, because if he didn’t, I would be dead for goddamn sake I don’t know how to cook.
This would be my first time doing household chores; a world-breaking record in my entire life that proved me that I was also a spoiled princess before.
Holding the tray that contains dinner, I came to Magnus Haven’s room. I knocked the door five times before I could finally realize it was already opened. I entered the room and looked around.
But I was stunned when I saw Magnus Haven kissing a girl sitting on his lap in the bed.
The feeling was familiar.
Right. The way I saw how Freya and Lucas making out.
Magnus looked at me. And shockingly, for the second time, I saw how his eyes glowed on me.
His lips arched a smirk and continued giving the girl a kiss while his alluring eyes are still on mine, wildly, like he wanted me to know that I will be the girl next in line who he will kiss that way.
