Ch. 38Chapter 38: Pet

Artemis looked at the man in front of her in disbelief. "Is that really you? I can't believe this. It's like you've been fused with an unclaimed wolf now."

Now, I could hear the discrimination in her voice. If Freya would hear this, she will surely get hurt because of her friend's judgment.

Because Artemis couldn't really hold back her bitterness, she grabbed Magnus in a tight hug and without a word, she gave the man a quick kiss on his lips, which shocked me and Magnus by that unexpected action.

"Oh, so sorry. I was just taken," said Artemis. "So, what? I'll just update you where and when, huh? Good bye!" After that, she quickly ran out of this room.

I shook my head staring at the dog with a mixture of regret that I came up and disturbed both of them.

How do you suppose to react with that, Mia?

Nothing.

In the evening, while carrying the sleeping dog in my arms, I'm still singing him a song.

I stared at the mirror where I could clearly see how the pet had floated because of my incessant freezing of it. "What's a good name for my baby?" I asked myself.

“It's not yours.”

Suddenly, I looked at the man who was busy signing papers while lying face-to-face on his bed. It's late and I'm here in Magnus' room to play with the pet but he ended up sleeping. Shocking.

I gave him a disapproving look, “It's not yours there. Maybe you're forgetting that I was the one who forced you to accept this dog?"

He just continued to bother. "She gave it to me so, it's mine."

"He gave it to you, but will it be yours if you don't accept it?"

"What are you fighting for then?" he responded coldly.

"That... it wouldn't be yours if it wasn't for me. That's why you accepted it from Artemis, that means... she's mine," I insisted.

"I can't remember that I said I'll give him to you."

"And I don't even remember saying that I need your permission just to make him my baby boy."

“That's my pet. You can't do anything with that," he said coldly.

"Magnus, don't waste your saliva because when it comes to debate? I always win. I will fight for it until my death!" I glanced in the mirror again, "I'll take care of him while I haven't passed to heaven."

"That would be crazy if you were the one taking care of it," he continued, which I only then understood.

"Why? This man is crazy," I whispered annoyed. I turned it around again, "Hey. Don't underestimate my powers. Even if I am just an unclaimed wolf."

He took his attention away from what he was doing and faced me, "What else can you do besides what I've seen?"

"Of course, many!"

"Like what?"

"Hey, why are you asking?"

"I want to know."

"Do you want to know or are you just really curious about my personality?" I gave him a look.

His attention came back to the papers and spoke. "Don't turn me around."

"'Gosh. Narrow it down."

"Who?"

"You."

"I'm not tight."

"It's just us. You are really curious about me! What? Is it not?" Grinning, I went to his bed and laid down there too. "Confess now, Magnus. I won't refuse if you ask."

"What are you talking about?" After that, he took his tea from the table and sipped it there.

He would be disappointed.

"Still innocent. Of course, ask for a date—" I completely winced when the person I was talking to suddenly coughed.

Disappointed indeed.

Although hesitating, I just patted his back. "A-Are you okay?"

After sipping it a little, he immediately put the cup aside and went straight to the bathroom. I don't know what he will do there. I just didn't pay attention to that and I just held the pet again.

"Just kidding. Your Alpha took it too seriously," I continued to talk to the dog. "Where did that come from? Shocking."

"You think he'll answer you?" Magnus suddenly appeared while still wiping his mouth with a cloth.

"Of course yes 'cuz why not coconut? Just a simple arf-arf, that's the answer!" I replied.

He just shook his head in response, he went to where and there he distracted himself. For a while there was silence around me that I just let it go. Nothing will happen if I talk any more, it will only end up in an argument which I really avoid now.

It's no longer a joke how long it took him to agree to what I needed. Many days, weeks and months have passed but he still remains stubborn. I don't know if I should think badly or what, because he doesn't give any idea why he doesn't want or can't.

Doesn't he get tired of my face? Almost every day, we face the opening in the morning. Shocking.

"Rio..." Magnus broke the silence, he was a bit far from me and had his back turned so I had a hard time predicting him. "His name will be... Rio."

"Rio?" I want to ask more.

"It fits him," he said, which I really did not agree with.

"Wait a minute. I'm thinking, huh." I stopped for a moment and thought deeply. “Pink... Pinky! Yes, that's right. We will name her Pinky. It's cute, isn't it?" I promised in a tickling tone.

I noticed Magnus facing me while the coldness was still on his face. “It's too feminine. He's a boy and not a girl."

"What... Your pink is not just feminine, ah. That's your favorite too, remember?" I rolled my eyes and answered. "I think you're the only person I've met who is a certified fan of the color pink."

"I will call him by the name I want to call him," he said coldly as he approached us with more food for the pet.

"You really don't want Pinky? That's better than your option. But okay. Is that final?"

"Let me." He took the pet from me because when it suddenly woke up, the man did not understand what I was saying.

"Okay, it's final. Her name is Pinky," I smiled politely while still staring at the pet's food.

"Still Rio."

I shook my head and smiled as I stroked the pet's head. "Hi, Pinky!"

Magnus irritatedly removed my hand from the dog. "Rio."

"Aish. It's pinky, !"

"He is Rio."

"Pinky!"

"Rio."

"You're naughty."

"As well as you."

"How about that if you're already married?" I'm really annoyed, I promise. "It's scary. Maybe it's just your baby's name, you're already divorced."

"I'll call him Rio and I don't care what you want to call him," he replied seriously.

I was about to speak but I didn't when I suddenly smelled the smell that made my brain dizzy that I knew was still coming from the pet's diaper! I immediately pinched my nose and looked at the man who just covered his nose with his wrist.

“Damn.”
