"Yes. That's Dorothy. Why? Is there a problem?"
"T-Then..." The kid's eyes widened as he ran over my whole body, not understanding what I said. "So, nothing bad happened to you? How did that happen?"
"I'm here. Because you are fake news. You say that Dorothy is bad, even though the truth is that she is even kinder to me," I replied, rolling my eyes. "She even saved me back there from that black smoke."
"That's impossible, Mia."
"You know? Stop the madness and let's go."
He nodded in response, "You're right. We have to leave because we have to go somewhere now while it's getting late."
"Huh? Where?" I asked, confused by the young companion.
"It's enough. Let's go!"
After a few hours, we reached the place where Prince Malbonte took me. I still stumble every step because of this rocky place. The night had covered the sky earlier so I could see very little. We are probably in a jungle again but I have to admit that this is a different type from the one we went to earlier.
"What are we doing here?" I asked again apprehensively.
"Just hush you guys. You might bump into something there and rush at you," he warned.
"Is it safe here?"
"No." He ignored me again and looked around, "Grandpa... Can I disturb you for just a moment?" Prince Malbonte spoke to the wind.
Just a second passed and suddenly an old man appeared in my sight. I had planned to take the lead, but because the mixture of expressions looked bad, I decided not to do it. It's embarrassing and I might even say I feel like a granddaughter. Phew.
"Good evening, Grandpa," Prince Malbonte smiled politely at the old man.
"What do you mean by this?" the interlocutor asked directly.
Prince Malbonte approached him and reached out to whisper in the old man's ear. I just whistled and took that opportunity to reflect. I would rather watch them whispering that I have no idea what kind of gossip it is.
I kept thinking that Prince Malbonte was gossiping me because just seeing his old best friend made me feel he is now backstabbing me. Then, the plot twist there, what he whispers doesn't really matter. I'm sure he was just telling the old man the famous famous line... 'Pretend I tell you something about this girl and then we laugh afterwards'.
Prince Malbonte will never tease me. I used to do that when I was young with my childhood best friends as an appearance of Freya Eveleigh.
And as expected, the old man's gaze gradually approached me. Prince Malbonte continued to whisper but the listener signaled him to stop. The old man slowly approached me while there was still an unreadable look on his face.
I gave a smile and my version of laughing, "What's that, Grandpa?"
He stopped in front of me and casually touched my head and closed his eyes, "What's your name, young lady?"
omg I told you, Prince Malbonte will baptize me!
"My name is... Mia, but you can call me beautiful, or goddess. It's up to you to decide what you bet on the two, Grandpa," I answered shyly.
Silence consumed us for a moment before the old man responded. He opened his eyes and looked straight at me which really confused me a little.
I think Grandpa is a mind reader. I guess it's the end of me. Shocking.
"Young lady," he began. "I know you are a good being because I feel the purity of your heart."
I nodded my head with a big smile, "Yes, of course. It's obvious from my face, isn't it?"
"The only thing I can advise you is..." he continued. "Don't trust anyone. I repeat... don't trust anyone.”
I stared at him in confusion, "What do you mean, grandfather? Uhm... It's too deep. Shocking."
He removed his hand from my head and simply turned his back on me. Using his cane, he started to walk but before he could get away and completely disappear, he faced me again.
"I won't say the exact word because I don't want to lead fate." At this point I could clearly see how the old man was getting really serious which suddenly scared the hell out of me. "Now, if you really want to know the true meaning of what I taught... expand your mind."
I took a hard look at the bottom of this big bed and then just swept that part with all my might. I have cleaned all the clutter in this room that Magnus assigned me so all I have to do is clean the floor.
After removing all the clutter and dust from there, I stood up and stretched. It's impossible to believe, but even though I'm just an unclaimed wolf, I can still feel the pain in my body because of the long cleaning. I started yesterday morning and I think I'll just finish this morning, hardly even resting.
"Cleaning is not a joke, standing all day long," I sang for a while focusing my attention again on the leftover dirt I had accumulated.
I stopped what I was doing for a moment and picked up something that caught my attention that was just covered by clutter. "Wait—it's beautiful, isn't it?"
I even touched it because it was covered with thick dust, which is why its beautiful color gradually appeared in my eyes. Pink color. I just shook my head when something stupid came into my mind.
"It's scary. Stop it," I preached to myself while still laughing. "What a mess. It's just imagination, it really suits me! You can be claimed."
Smiling, I twisted my arm length hair and used the ribbon to tie it properly on my hair. When the work was done, I was just relieved, thinking that it would help me a lot in cleaning so that some strands of hair wouldn't block my eyes but it's shocking that I just saw this thing.
In my imagination, I'm like a lotion for a mom with a child in her fifties because of the vibes that I'm giving off to myself. But can I make fun of myself? Of course my deity is still in my imagination, what?
I put the leftovers in the garbage bag and when I finished, I quickly tied the opening of that plastic tightly. "Finally! Your grandmother also finished cleaning. Omg. What a beautiful morning is this... The day is so beautiful today, I couldn't get out just to go to this room!" I said sarcastically while stretching again.
The sunrise is beautiful. I just winced when I looked at the overcast sky again from outside the window. That's why it seems a bit dark, I think it's still going to rain.
