“Son, the baby is fine, she is not having a hard time," I said weakly to my son that he would constantly take care of me while I was sitting in a wheelchair, Eight months, Eight months since I found out about my illness and now I am eight months pregnant and next month I will be giving birth to my second child.

The maids were also just looking at me while there were tears that they were trying to wipe away. Because they see my condition.

I just wear a bonnet because my hair is already decaying, and I can hardly move because of my weakness and my bulging stomach. My skin is pale as if I lack of blood.

"Mom, you're still beautiful even though you're pale," Percy told me while wiping my hand. He's too young to take care of me like this, instead of me taking care of him as his mother, he takes care of me, he doesn't know my illness yet and I don't want him to know it.

He thought I was like this because of my pregnancy, and the maids here at home did not fail to take care of me and my son.

"I know that son, go to sleep, I know you haven't had a break since this morning when you came home from school," I told him before kissing him on the forehead and telling him to go to his room.

"Lisa, can you take me to the garden?" I said softly to her. She immediately went to me and went behind me so that she could push the wheelchair that I was going to sit on.

While we were going to the garden, she suddenly spoke.

"Ma'am Mia, why did you choose to revive the child in your womb instead of choosing yourself." She said gargling, I know she feels sorry for me but I just smiled. Just in time, we arrived at the garden itself and she took me next to the fountain.

"You don't understand everything Lisa," I answered her sparingly.

"It's not that easy to do that, especially since Reigo and I will lose a second child, and I don't want him to be angry with me when he finds out that I chose myself over our second child," I said to her sadly while looking at the fountain water. I can see my reflection in the water, my eyes seem to have no appetite, I'm very pale and I know I've lost too much weight, I'm trying to fight until Reigo comes back, until now I'm still holding on to his promise.

"But with that decision of yours, look at your body it’s like giving in." She said.

"I know, I know I'm about to disappear from this world but I'm still trying to live until he comes back to us." My nose started bleeding again but I just let it go because this scenario is not new to me.

"No! Ma'am, your nose is bleeding again!” She said in a panic and suddenly ran inside the mansion as if to get a wipe.

I just shook my head and looked up at the sky, I could see the stars shining brightly.

"I will soon become one of you," I said bitterly.

"Ma'am! I'll just wipe your nose." I heard Lisa shout as she approached me, I just let her wipe my nose.

"Ma'am, let's go inside because it's cold here." I just nodded at what she said before we entered the mansion.

"Are you going to sleep, ma'am? So that I can go straight to your room and you can rest."

"No first Lisa, take me to the living room and I'll watch the news," I said and she took me there and she was the one who turned on the TV.

"You can rest Lisa, I can take care of myself, I'll just take the elevator later to go upstairs," I said quietly and she nodded before turning around and walking away.

When I watch the news, it's like heaven and earth fell on me because of what I see on television today.

"A billionaire, Adam Reigo Ashford, son of Mr. Lion Greg Ashford and Mrs. Melissa Jane Ashford got married this morning in Las Vegas to his long-time fiance, Ms. Kierra Natibidad who is also a full Ashford now.”

It's like my world collapsed when I saw the man I'd been waiting for until now to come back, I can see his smile on the Camera, the smile I'd never seen on him while he was with me.

"W-why…You're married now, it just means that what you told me that we're both married is all a lie?” I said weakly while looking at the TV.

"Mr. Ashford, how does it feel to be married to your long-time fiance?" The reporter asked him.

"I'm happy, that I already married the girl I want to be with for the rest of my life."

When he said that, I was hurt even more, it was like stabbing my heart again and again while looking at the TV and his hand holding the waist of the woman he married now.

"How sweet is that Mr. Ashford.” The reporter said before the conversation turned to the woman next to him.

"How about you Mrs. Ashford how does it feel to be married to a billionaire?” Reporter.

"I'm happy too, not because I married a billionaire man but because I married the man I love and be with me until I grow old."

I smiled bitterly because what am I against a very beautiful woman who looks like she comes from a rich family when I don't know where I came from?

"Tsk, you say we will make another memory? But you are now married to someone else?" I said laughing and trying to wipe the tears from my eyes with the back of my palm.

The news about their marriage ended but I'm still here dumbfounded looking at the TV. I don't know how many hours I was staring at the TV screen and suddenly the phone next to the main door rang.

I tried to push my wheelchair with my two hands holding the tire of my wheelchair just to reach the telephone that was ringing.

When I got there, I immediately answered the phone and brought it to my ear before speaking.

"Hello," I answered weakly. A few minutes went by without an answer so I was about to put the telephone down when suddenly someone spoke that broke my heart.

"Please don't wait for me..."

I don't know how many times that has come back to my mind because I know it's him. I can’t even forget his voice.

I didn't realize that the phone had fallen. I just held my chest because I couldn't breathe properly, I patted my chest with my palm while my tears didn't stop, I just want to ease the pain I'm feeling right now.

"Ma'am are you okay?!" I heard Lisa say as she ran towards me and she immediately hugged me.

"I'm just going to get some water for a moment, ma'am." She said and frantically went to the kitchen to get some water.

Not even two minutes later, she came with a glass of water and immediately gave it to me. I drank it right away and that's when I breathed a sigh of relief.

"No ma'am! It's a good thing I came back because otherwise you might be gone." She says.

“L-Lisa…. He's already married….” I told her while crying.

"Who ma'am? Is it sir?” I nodded to her question and immediately started crying.

"Please, ma'am, hold on, maybe sir has a reason." She strengthens me.

“N-no… He e-even called just this time…. T-telling me not to wait for him anymore..." I said weakly as tears fell from my eyes. I feel tired.

"Lisa….. I'm getting tired…" I told her.

"Ma'am, don't get tired, didn't you say you would revive the child? Don't give up until you can fight, just fight." She will remind me.

“H-how…. How can I fight in the fight if my strength and reason for fighting against the disease has been cheated on me and left without any reason..." I said bitterly.

"Ma'am please calm down, your baby might be at risk,” She worriedly told me. Just like that, Lisa and I were both surprised when suddenly the main door of the mansion opened.

The armed men entered one by one, so I held Lisa's arm tightly because I didn't know what was going on.

"What's going on? Who are you?" I tried to steady my voice because I was weak, and I called all the saints in my mind that my son should not come down from above.

"I'm just here to take my daughter." I heard an old man say as he entered the house, you couldn't shake his powerful aura because of his stance and speech.

"M-maybe you just went to the wrong place, there are no children here," I answered him and he looked at me and I saw the longing and in his eyes and pity as he looked at me.

“My daughter, Eleanor is that you…” He said softly and tears fell from his eyes.

"How did you know my name?" I asked wonderingly.

"Oh god! What did he do to you? My princess…” He cried and immediately came close to me and knelt before hugging me.

“My daughter…” He said and kissed my forehead. I don't know what I felt because my heart was beating fast and I felt like I was looking for my father's hug from him.

“How that f*cking bastard Ashford made you like this!” He shouted as he looked at me and stood up.

"W-who are you?" I asked weakly.

"I'm your father." When I heard that, I immediately burst into tears and hugged him before burying my face in his stomach.

"D-dad..." That was the only word that came out of my mouth and I started to cry.

"Husss now princess I'm taking you with me....your mother is waiting for you...”

"READY THE CAR WHERE LEAVING!" He shouted to his men. He immediately lifted me out of my wheelchair and was about to walk when I remembered my son upstairs.

"D-dad my son… he's upstairs sleeping.." I said softly before I lost consciousness.
