WHEN THE VAMPIRE entered, the wolves inside the hall became aggressive. Anger can be seen immediately in them while their mortal enemy is in the middle of the mansion. The others are restraining themselves from making a move and tearing the vampire apart.
War can happen if Aro says something. The moment that he speaks and gives his command, they will follow without saying anything and no contradicting words.
Earning the trust of one pack is not easy even if you belong to the same pack and want to become a leader. To make it happen, Aro shed blood. He soaked his sweat without any tears that followed.
Being an alpha is not for the weak. It comes with big responsibility and ability.
“Brother, what should we do?”
Aro raised his hand. It's a sign that he calms the whole pack down. Being aggressive is not rational. They need to think before they make another move.
“W-where am I?” the vampire asked with so much confusion. “W-who are you? Did I do anything wrong to you—”
“Shut up!”
“If you love your life, don’t say anything!”
“Who are you to ask us!”
“Are you aware of the trouble that will lead to you?”
“Speak again, we will cut your tongue, lowly bastard!”
With just one glance, Aro already knows he is just a new vampire who looks like he just got lost inside the mountain. He’s also open to the possibility that their enemy is looking for a new opportunity or all of this is just a trap.
“But how can he enter inside the mountain?” Ruffa asks him after finding out his reaction to the vampire’s identity. “This is the first time that it has happened after almost a decade! It’s alarming. We need to find out what is happening.”
“I will ask Nana about this matter,” Joanne immediately answered with concern, even though they hadn't asked her to do it yet.
“Nana will give the message in a minute,” he said with full assurance.
“Like she knows everything…” her sister said with a lower voice, then made a deep sigh later on. “I imagine that she’s not taking a rest right now. This matter will make her worried.”
“For the meantime, I suggest, let’s just put him inside the cell until we find out what really happened,” Ruffa suggested.
Aro just smirks and agrees with him. He’s proud that he knows how to think like him.
“Alpha—”
“You heard Ruffa,” Aro firmly said as if he was dismissing anything that could be heard in their pack. “I told you, violence is not always an answer.”
When the vampire left because of his command, the others looked after him with concern in their eyes. Some of them have a different opinion but choose to just listen to him.
“Gonzalo is here again, Aro,” Ruffa informs him.
Aro just continues what he’s doing and plays like a deaf because he’s thinking about what is happening right now. He noticed that this kind of incident did not happen with ordinary vampires. He needed to talk to Nana immediately.
He just took a glance at Gonzalo who entered the mansion wearing nothing on his face but a mockery. He's clothed this almost blasted shirt to his bulk body and faded jeans to his bottom. He also holds this large piece of barbeque meat and devours it while walking like he owns the place.
Aro smirks secretly and wants to ignore Gonzalo’s presence as much as possible because he still has something important to do but he knows it’s not going to happen. Gonzalo is the type of enemy who always tests his ability and patience as an alpha whenever something happens in his territory.
The Solstice Enigma minds its own business and observes what will happen next in the tension that it feels in its surroundings. This always happens whenever two alpha males who don't have a good relationship meet in one place.
If possible, Aro wants to keep his enemies like Gonzalo on his side because he can find out his next move if they play some tricks. But, these days, Gonzalo has become a pest in his pack and people like him can’t do anything good but infect others, so he needs to be exterminated as soon as possible.
It hadn’t been long when he heard a scream from one of the girls in his pack. Aro didn’t open his eyes immediately. Like he’s ignoring what is happening in his surroundings even if he already knows what’s going on.
“Big Bro—”
“This is not good, Joanne!” Ruffa said with a worried voice. “Your brother will not sit back now!”
Aro’s right-hand man gets the little wolf whose hair he was combing earlier. He really can sense his ticking bomb that will explode at any moment if this ruckus continues.
Aro stares blankly at Gonzalo who still forcefully cradles the woman on his thigh. She does her best to fight him with all of her strength, but it’s not enough.
Without a second thought, Aro got up on his chair and walked so fast as he held his head up high.
The moment that he got to Gonzalo, he grabbed his hand and twisted it to his back!
The woman moves fast to get away from Gonzalo’s thigh and go to her boyfriend while crying. The boyfriend couldn't do anything but hug his woman while looking at Gonzalo with anger in his eyes.
Aro is thankful to his boyfriend for restraining himself from doing any kind of action. It’s his courtesy to respect his words and beliefs to his promises.
“Chill!” Gonzalo raises his two hands while looking at the couple. “I am just teasing you guys! What’s the drama? I’m here for fun!”
“Get out…” this is Aro’s last warning. He is so pissed off that he can’t do anything but suppress his anger for a moment, but he knows that he can’t control it if it takes any longer.
“Did I get your attention now?” Gonzalo asks him with a mocking face without even taking a glance at him and continues devouring his meat. “I still don’t know why they choose you over me—they are sleeping the true alpha that can really protect them.”
“Everyone, leave,” Aro commanded the pack who was near Gonzalo to go as far away from them as possible.
“What’s the rush? We’re still having fun here!” Gonzalo said after devouring his meat.
“Do your ears have a nose too, Gonzalo?” Aro asked.
“Why?” Gonzalo interestedly asked him. “Did I smell your trouble—”
“No. You sniffed and classified the garbage that smelled like you.”
Aro hears the soft laughter of some members of the pack because he hit his ego. Anger is registered on Gonzalo's face.
Gonzalo looks in a different direction, as if he’s finding someone. “Where’s Joanne—fuck!”
Gonzalo doesn’t have a chance to continue what he's going to say when Aro grabs his arm and throws him outside the mansion.
“I told you, don’t drag my sister on your mess,” the deep voice of Aro made everyone look at him.
The moment that he does this means he’s challenging him to a fight, and he will not allow himself to get defeated…
