But nevertheless a smile leaped my face as I anticipate what it is going to happen in the next few moments.

Seconds later, I hear the trudging of tiny footsteps taking towards our bed and little fingers trying to open my eyes forcefully. "Daddy, wake up. You are late. You promised me yesterday, we will be going for a swim today." My little Angel calls me buckling her up on our bed with great difficulty.

I miss my princess so much. This was the longest time that I have stayed away from her. No sooner that I reaches home the previous night, she runs to me and circles her little arms around my legs with her eyes going up on me in question. "Daddy, where did you go leaving me and mama in the house?" I pick her in my arms and she quibbles planting her head on my chest with her hands around my neck. She was feeling extremely sleepy. I could clearly note that with her actions.

"I am sorry princess." I bend my head and kiss her forehead. "From now onwards daddy will take his princess along with him wherever he goes. Okay?" My eyes capture her optics in assurance and kiss her cheeks. I promised myself long ago that I will satisfy all her wishes. Today when she is waking me up early in the morning to go to a swim, how can I deny her?

"Shh..." I open my eyes and put a finger on my lips in an attempt to put her in silence. "Princess, mummy is very tired. Can you give me a few minutes to get ready?" I request her softly.

She nods, giggles and consequently erupts to huge chuckles before jumping from the bed on the floor. "Careful princess" I paddled behind her so that she doesn't fall. "I know I am not going to fall daddy as long as you are there behind me." She titters and I couldn't stop myself pampering her soft hair on the head.

I knew she is not going to wait for me too long so I am quick to complete my business. Bending over I take her into my arms to get us to the kitchen for preparing breakfast. We make her favourite fruit loops. Her eyes go crazy in happiness looking at her colourful breakfast. "Thank you daddy" she squeaks in happiness encircling her small hands around my neck while seated in my lap.

I couldn't ask God for anything better in life. Me and my princess have a different world. We have a hearty breakfast filled with laughter and joy. My princess is full of stories and I love to hear her talk though they are the most trivial things. Her eyes were big and animated as she tells me about the movies she watched on the TV last week to the episode her classmate had with her teacher for drawing a cat instead of a dog.

We swim for some time in the pool adjacent to the garden in our mansion and after sometime I help her do her homework. My daughter is very intelligent and grasps things very quickly, something about which I am very proud of her. Ana gets ready and makes lunch for both of us. She had to visit her mother and would be joining her friend Stella for a day out on shopping. So today is our daddy daughter day.

Ana gives a quick peck to both of us on our cheeks. I wanted more but Ulia was with us and sex took a back seat like always. "Princess listen to your daddy and be a good girl. If you do I promise, I have a surprise you. Ulia beams like a tube light jumping in excitement. "I will be a good girl mommy."

After Ana leaves for shopping, I ask my three and half year old daughter."So, what do we do today princess?" She clasps her hands in excitement. "Daddy and I will make popcorn and watch Snow Princess."

"Oh no! Is it again the same movie we watched last Sunday?" Ulia's lips went inverted. And her grief would be my defeat." So I smile giving her high five.

"We are watching it again. I was just joking with you princess." I comb her hair into two pig tails which go curly and put the popcorn in the microwave.

"Daddy can I remove the popcorn now?" Ulia asks excitedly. "Wait for a minute sunshine." I insist and help her to get the popcorn out of the microwave. We watch the movie for a while and my little angel dozes off to sleep in my lap.

Ulia's bedroom is situated on the first floor. Her room is decorated in pink and purple colours and in the middle there is a huge princess bed. There are soft toys and Barbie princess all over and at the corner of the room there is a doll house. Ulia wanted her bedroom in a princess theme and I give her whatever she wants as long it is not harmful for her health. On her last birthday she had an uncommon wish. My daughter wanted me to quit cigarettes. Making her happy was the biggest joy I could ever have so I wilfully left smoking for her happiness.

I tuck her into the bed and go to the study to do some office work. As today happens to be a Sunday, I had plenty of time to spend with my cute sunshine. Two hours later I get a call from Ana that there are a few more tests to be done to her mother and she could return home only by evening. I assure her that I will take care of our princess and started making some business calls.

After sometime I hear a loud cry from Ulia's room and I rush through the stairs. "Daddy" she whimpers and squats up on the bed rubbing her tearing eyes.My heart ached for her.
