Saga had just returned from work, dropping himself onto the sofa in his apartment. He sighed deeply and loosened his tie a bit harshly. Frustrated with the sudden and simultaneous issues at the company that had arisen in the past few days, Saga rested his head against the sofa's back and closed his eyes slowly.
"Why is everything popping up like this all of a sudden?" Saga muttered, puzzled.
He fell silent again and was about to drift off when he suddenly opened his eyes, remembering something. "Areum!" Saga exclaimed, standing up and grabbing the car keys he had left on the table.
Areum was eating an orange when Saga quickly opened the door to her hospital room. He walked towards Areum and sat down on the chair beside the bed. Areum blinked in confusion, seeing Saga panting and catching his breath.
"You ran?" Areum innocently asked.
Saga didn't answer; he just nodded his head, acknowledging.
"Why?" Areum asked again.
Without answering, Saga stared at Areum and then playfully pulled her cheek. "Hey!" Areum shouted, then swatted Saga's hand irritably.
"Do you know how much it hurts?"
"No idea!"
Areum glared at Saga, who was now chuckling. Areum pouted and turned her face away in annoyance.
Saga continued to chuckle, then gently stroked Areum's hair. "How's your condition today? Is your stomach still hurting?" he asked.
Areum looked at Saga and slowly lowered her husband's hand. "I'm fine. I might be able to go home tomorrow," she replied.
"Thank goodness. I'm glad to hear that. I'm sorry you got sick while I was busy at the office," Saga regretfully said.
"It's okay. I know unexpected problems arose. Junsu told me everything. So, did you manage to retain the investor who wanted to withdraw?" Areum asked.
Saga glanced at Areum briefly; then, he shook his head slightly. Areum was surprised because it was the first time her husband had lost such an important investor. However, Areum tried to act casually. She didn't want her husband to feel more downhearted if she seemed to pity him.
Areum then gently rubbed Saga's arm and gave him a faint smile. "Don't worry about anything. A new investor will come soon, and the company will be fine."
Saga looked at Areum, then smiled back, agreeing with her words. They exchanged smiles until Areum remembered her mother's and mother-in-law's words a few days ago. Areum lowered her hand, and her facial expression suddenly changed. Saga furrowed his brows, confused by Areum's sudden change.
"What's wrong?" Saga asked a bit coldly.
Areum waited to respond. Instead, she stared at Saga momentarily, took a deep breath, and rubbed her face before looking away.
"My mom and your mom think I'm pregnant. I tried to explain that it was just a common stomachache, but they insisted I was craving. I don't know how else to explain. It seems like they want to cradle a grandchild while you want a free child," Areum stated, feeling a bit sad, considering her husband had once mentioned not wanting to have children.
Saga widened his eyes in surprise at Areum's words.

Tae Jun had just tossed his phone onto the table. He smiled joyfully after receiving a report that things at his brother's company were not going well. The investor withdrew, and some tenants moved from Saga's mall to Tae Jun's. It was not a coincidence; it was all part of Tae Jun's plan to tarnish Saga's reputation in front of their father. Coincidentally, Areum was also in the hospital, making their father believe that Saga was busy taking care of Areum rather than the company.
Tae Jun picked up his phone again when the white phone rang.
"Come home a little earlier; Saga and Areum will visit tonight."
Tae Jun furrowed his brows in confusion. "Is Areum already better? Or, maybe, is it true that she's sick because she's pregnant?" Tae Jun speculated.
He called someone and put his phone to his ear several times.
"Hello," Areum answered the call from her brother-in-law.
"Tae Jun_ssi," Areum greeted.
Hearing his name, Saga looked at Areum, raising an eyebrow in confusion. Areum remained silent, listening to everything Tae Jun had to say. Occasionally, she glanced at Saga, who was now staring at her. After a while, Areum nodded her head.
"All right, Tae Jun_ssi. Thank you."
Areum then ended the call and looked at Saga intensely.
"What's going on? Why did Hyung call you?" Saga asked a bit coldly.
Areum waited to answer her husband's question. Instead, she looped her arm around Saga's and rested her head on his shoulder.
"How about this?" she asked.
"How about what?"
"Tae Jun also thinks I'm pregnant. I need clarification about how to deny it. They don't know that we're just married on contract."
Saga took a deep breath upon hearing Areum's words. He then released his grip on Areum's hand and made her look at him.
"Let them assume. We'll explain at home later," he said.
"Why is Saga talking like this? Does he not want to have a child?" Areum thought, feeling disappointed with Saga's response. "Hey, why are you quiet? What are you thinking? Isn't your health test result enough proof that you
