Thunderous sounds reverberated as water splattered against the windows. The rain poured down heavily, its droplets hitting the ground with force.
Amelia Lotest stood in the middle of the road, drenched by the downpour.Despite the raging storm, she appeared unaffected.
"Why me?"Amelia's husky voice finally broke through the sound of thunder.
"Why do you keep playing games with my life?"She raised her voice, but there was no response except for the crackling of lightning.
Amelia fell to her knees, letting out a cry before bursting into tears.
The rain concealed her hot tears, replacing them with water streaming down her face.
If one looked closely, they could see her red eyes and bruised, swollen face, as if she had been beaten.
She stood up, shaking her head like someone experiencing convulsions.
"I can't live like this anymore,"she muttered to herself, glancing around and noticing a vehicle approaching.

"Alright, guys, I'm off,"A young man with broad shoulders and smooth, glowing skin spoke. He had bright green eyes that accentuated his sharp jawline.
"Come on, Liam, it's still early.Have a drink with us,"a guy in the corner of the bar said, referring to the young man named Liam.
"Nah, I have to get back home,"Liam declined, turning down the offer.
"Elliot is right.Stay with us and let's drink some more,"another guy chimed in, supporting the offer.
"Come on, a couple of drinks won't hurt," Elliot said, holding a bottle of wine and offering it to Liam.
But Liam shook his head, refusing.
"I'm already tipsy, and I have to drive.I don't want to get more drunk than this,"Liam stated, earning a groan from a guy with tattoos and piercings all over his body. Slowly, he approached Liam.
"I'm sorry, guys, but it's already 1:34 am, and I have to go..."Liam's words were interrupted by the tattooed guy standing in front of him, a cigarette in his mouth.
"Yes?" Liam questioned, wondering why the guy was blocking his path aggressively.
"You're Liam Scott, right?"The tattooed guy finally spoke, taking a puff from his cigarette and blowing the smoke into Liam's face, making him cough. The tattooed guy chuckled.
"What, mama's boy can't even handle a little smoke?"He mocked.
"I'm off”Liam turned to leave, but the tattooed guy grabbed his right shoulder, making Elliot concerned. Liam looked at the guy's hand on his shoulder.
"Get your hands off me”Liam said calmly but with a deadly tone.
The tattooed guy was about to say something when Elliot intervened.
"Get your hands off him, Giovani. What's wrong with you?"Elliot asked, removing Giovani's hand from Liam's shoulder.
"No need to get worked up, Scott. I was just messing with you,"Giovani chuckled, his deep voice disgusting Liam.
"Bye, Elliot,"Liam bid Elliot farewell.
"Bye, dude,"Elliot smiled at him.
Liam was already on his way to the exit but was stopped in his tracks by Giovani's words.
"Make sure to take a slut home to satisfy your needs,"Giovani blurted out as Liam turned to look at him with disgust.
"What did you say?"Liam, already on the edge, asked.
"Make sure to take a slut home to satisfy your needs,"Giovani repeated with a smirk.
"You disgust me,”Liam retorted.
"Tell me, guys, did I say anything wrong?"Giovani asked his friends.
"No!"They all chanted, laughing along with Giovani. Liam, however, was not amused, and Elliot noticed that he was not in a smiling mood.
"Alright, guys, that's enough,"Elliot said, attempting to diffuse the situation. But Giovani, with a disdainful grin, flicked his cigarette butt at Elliot.
"Know your place, dude. Just because I decided to have a drink with you doesn't mean you get to boss me around,"Giovani declared.
Liam, seething with anger, couldn't control himself any longer.
He rushed toward Giovani and landed a powerful punch, sending Giovani stumbling to the ground, yelping in pain and clutching his gut.
His friends, witnessing the scene, immediately lunged at Liam, ready to retaliate.
A few minutes later, Liam managed to grab his jacket and made his way towards Elliot.
"Never invite me for a drink again if things like this are going to happen,"Liam warned Elliot, referring to Giovani and his friends lying on the ground with broken legs and noses.
Liam had given them a severe beating before leaving the bar, leaving Elliot astonished by the sudden turn of events. Giovani, still on the ground, shouted out,
“This isn't over, Scott!"
"Oh, I think it is. Peace out, motherfuckers,"Liam trash-talked, his words dripping with a mix of satisfaction and disdain as he walked away.
Liam drove home, the echoes of Giovani's words echoing in his mind.
“I hate that bastard," Liam muttered, gripping the steering wheel tightly. The heavy rain made it difficult to see the road, and his thoughts were consumed by the bar incident.
Suddenly, a girl appeared in front of his car. Liam's eyes widened, and he slammed on the brakes, but it was too late.
The girl was struck by the car and went flying, her body covered in blood. Liam gasped in horror.
"Omg!"Liam yelled, flinging open the car door and rushing to the injured girl on the ground.
He swiftly lifted her up, carrying her into his car before driving straight to the hospital.
Liam arrived at the hospital with the injured girl on his back, urgently calling for help as he rushed into the ward.
A nurse approached, puzzled by the commotion, and her eyes widened upon seeing the injured girl.
"How did she get hurt?"The nurse asked, concerned.
"Don't ask me stupid questions and call the doctor immediately!"Liam shouted at the nurse, his voice filled with urgency.
The nurse nodded and hurried off to fetch the doctor.
A few minutes later, the nurse returned with the doctor, who inquired,”How can I help you?"
"God damn it, what kind of hospital is this? Can't you see a girl on my back bleeding?"Liam screamed, drawing attention from everyone in the vicinity.
"Oh, what happened to her?"The doctor inquired, taken aback by Liam's outburst.
"She was hit by a damn car! Now, will you do your job?"Liam's patience was wearing thin, realising that someone's life was hanging in the balance because of him.
"Wait, you're Liam Scott.I knew you looked familiar,"The doctor blurted out, causing some nurses to whisper among themselves, casting knowing glances at Liam.
"Well, it's a police case, but since you're a popular tycoon, we can't let a young lady lose her life... Nurse, get this lady to the operating room now!"The doctor ordered.
Immediately, they brought in a gurney and transferred the injured girl onto it, rushing her into the operation room.
"If anything happens to her, I will make sure to have this hospital shut down,"Liam threatens the doctor, his voice filled with determination and concern.
"She will be fine. Can I get your autograph?"The doctor asked, his request tinged with both professional admiration and personal excitement.
"Get out of here!"Liam yelled at the doctor in disbelief, his focus solely on the well-being of the injured girl.
A few tense minutes passed, and the doctor emerged from the operating room. Liam immediately rushed over to him, hoping for some positive news.
"How is she, doc?" Liam impatiently asked, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Well, she is fine, but..." the doctor began, only to be interrupted by Liam.
"But what?" Liam asked eagerly, desperately wanting to know the full extent of the girl's condition.
"Calm down, Mr. Scott. She must be really important to you," the doctor said, a small smile playing on his lips.
"I asked you a question, doc," Liam replied through gritted teeth, struggling to maintain his composure.
"She is fine, but the impact of the hit was so strong that she has suffered from amnesia," the doctor revealed, shehis tone laced with empathy.
"Amnesia?" Liam asked, a mixture of confusion and concern evident in his voice.
"Yes, it appears that she has lost some of her memory due to the accident. I suggest you take proper care of her and avoid stressing her out," the doctor advised, his medical expertise shining through.
Liam's mind raced as he absorbed the information. He couldn't help but feel a surge of responsibility and protectiveness towards the girl who had unknowingly crossed his path.
"She's not my girlfriend," Liam clarified, his voice softer now. "Can I see her?"
"Of course," the doctor said, pointing towards the room where the girl was being kept. "Room 208."
Liam took a deep breath, steadying himself before opening the door. Inside, he found her sitting up on the bed, supported by a nurse. The girl turned her gaze towards Liam, a faint smile gracing her face.
"Hey, are you okay?" Liam asked, his voice filled with genuine concern as he approached her.
"I'm fine, Andrew," she replied, her smile weakening as she struggled to recall the full extent of her memories.
Liam's eyes widened in confusion on why the stranger had referred to him as andrew.
“Andrew?”
