Jane, who was feeling a tad gloomy about Clark's departure entered her apartment with a feigned smile on her lips. "What's wrong Jane what happened?" Jenna was very whimsical to know that she was feigning it. "He has finally gone to San Francisco to meet his family," Jane announced as she finally got elated when she touched her lips that were kissed by Clark reminiscing about the event and heartstrings.
"Wait a minute don't tell me that he kissed you," Jenna caveated amicably.
"Well he did, it wasn't expected," Jane blushed.
"Way to go, girl!" Jenna teased jumping up excitedly and tickling Jane by her side.
"Stop it," Jane laughed heartily. "So it's official, Jane and Clark on the main spot in a real-life Hollywood romance," Jenna said dramatically making Jane let out a hearty laugh.
"You are crazy you know," Jane said smiling. "Am happy for you because of your past experiences," Jenna said. "Yeah, I know me too," Jane said.
It was forty-five minutes after Eight Am in the morning when Clark grabbed a small box directed by the male flight attendant in a white uniform towards the aeroplane amidst other aspiring passengers. He knew he had serious unfinished business with Jane since his family called for an urgent meeting when he was just getting to know her.
"Good day sir, may I help you with your luggage," The flight attendant's lips curved into a smile. "No, am alright, it's not heavy," Clark explained to avoid attention as was led by the flight attendant through the airstairs to the aircraft cabin.
Clark placed his small box in the forward cargo holds and sat on one of the airline seats beside the box. "Hi, good day," Clark smiled at the young woman he met sitting near the window. "Hello," The lady said.
"Is anyone sitting here?"
"No," She said.
Clark sat in the middle air seat amongst the trio. "Am Clark Williams,"
"Am Hannah Jenkins," Hannah said shaking Clark as Clark offered it for a handshake.
It wasn't long till a middle-aged middle-aged bald man came to sit on the last air seat after Clark's own. "Hi, am Joshua Hargreaves. Joshua said facing them. "Nice to meet you, Hannah," Hannah smiled. "Am Clark Williams," Clark announced. "Nice to meet you both," Joshua said as he put his luggage in the space of the forward cargo holds.
“Ladies and gentlemen this is flight two hundred and twelve and the local time is Nine Am. We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays be in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones," The voice of the captain sounded as the plane started moving.
"So now that it's obvious you have found love, when are you going to stop pretending to be poor and make use of your wealth for yourself," Jenna faced Jane capriciously in the sitting room.
"About that, we have talked about this," Jane retorted in indifference. "I know we have and you keep on saying the same thing, I mean the apartment we are both staying in, you bought it and the small Tesla car am using you bought it for me insisting I kept it as a secret," Jenna said.
"You know why am doing so. If I don't how would I have known the real man who is meant for me?" "Hmmm that's true," Jenna said.
"For example, I was able to test Clark and now he seems to be a genuine man," Jane said.
"Well, you have a point, but just ensure you avoid depriving yourself of your wealth because it won't be fair on you dear,"
"Am not depriving myself. I am okay just living an average life," Jane said wearing the black kitchen apron close to her.
"Alright, if you say so," Jenna resolved.
"So what would you like to eat?" Jane enquired curiously.
"Well, Bagel and Lox would do," Jenna smirked.
"Alright, just give me some minutes," Jane said as she went to the kitchen to prepare the meal.
Joshua was napping on the airseat while Clark was checking Jane's pictures on Facebook. He was so focused on admiring Jane through the pictures that he didn't notice that Hannah who was initially reading newspapers had been secretly observing him for a while without him noticing.
"Is she your wife? you seem to miss her because of the ongoing trip to San Francisco," Hannah enquired still holding the newspaper in her hands. "No not yet, we just met recently but am just in love with her," "Okay am sorry to pry," Hannah said.
"No not all," Clark said as he checked his phone to send a message to Jane. "Hi," he texted. Clark had a feeling that Hannah was older than he was because of the maturity she showed. "Well maturity ain't about age," he thought to himself.
"Yes!" Jane blurted out in an irrefutable excitement jumping up from the sofa she was sitting on.
. "I have a message from Clark finally!" Jane announced as she opened her phone to check Clark's message. "Hi," Jane saw the message enter her WhatsApp.
"Hello, Clark, are you finally on air?" Jane typed curiously. "Yes, how are you doing?" Clark replied. "Currently missing you already," Jane typed. "And about the kiss, we need to talk more about it," Jane typed. "Don't worry, we will discuss that when am back," Clark replied.
"He is finally on air," Jane announced facing Jenna who was busy with her Bagel and Lox on the dining table in the dining room. "Ooh okay," Jenna replied.
"So what makes you then leave your loved ones to San Fransisco sorry for prying," Hannah said. "Well, since not all my loved ones are in San Jose, especially my family members, am going to meet them all in San Francisco," Clark feigned a smile.
"Wow, that's great, I guess it's a good reason then," Hannah said. "What about you?" Clark said. "Well, mine is similar am going to be with my husband," Hannah said.
"Well, am going to San Francisco for business, pure business. I am a caterer and got a job in San Francisco and it seems that my services are more required with a larger pay," Joshua said provoking both Clark and Hannah to laugh out heartily.
"It seems you were in our conversation," Hannah said amidst laughter. "I bet he was," Clark said smiling. "Not entirely, I was actually in the conversation when the topic about reasons for going to San Francisco was being discussed," Joshua said smiling.
"Well, not bad," Hannah said smiling. "Way to go, man," Clark said facing Joshua.
"Well, not that am saying that Clark isn't a good guy, but you still have to be careful," Jenna said. "I don't understand, so what you are saying is that Clark isn't a genuine man," Jane said.
"I never said so, what am saying is that you have to be careful After all if you can remember, this was the same way you were excited about John and looked at what happened," Jenna said.
"I can't believe you right now, Clark isn't like John and you know it," Jane said rising from the chair in anger. "Well, most guys are and am just trying to protect you," Jenna. "Well, maybe you should protect yourself by getting yourself a guy finally leaving your singleness once and for all," Jane said and felt guilty afterwards.
"Just wow," Jenna said surprised and angry at what Jane said. "I think I need some air," Jane said as she exited the sitting room towards the porch.
