Ivy couldn't refuse Race's invitation to share a bed tonight. It was unusual for her husband, who was always grumpy, to suggest sharing a bed when he had no feelings for Ivy back then. Ivy remained restless and couldn't fall asleep. Meanwhile, Race was already sound asleep beside her. Shortly after, Ivy looked towards Race. She changed her sleeping position to face him and continued to gaze at Race's face attentively. Ivy reached out and gently caressed Race's nose from top to bottom.
"If we are destined to have a child, I'm sure if it's a boy, he'll be as handsome as you, Race," Ivy whispered half to herself.
Tears welled up in Ivy's eyes, and she quickly wiped them away before turning her gaze away from Race. She sighed deeply and chose to sit up. Just as she was about to get out of bed, Race's handheld Ivy's. Ivy looked at Race in surprise while Race slowly opened his eyes.
"Sleep, it's already night!" Race said, pulling Ivy forcefully and making her lie down again.
Unlike before, Race slept tightly, embracing Ivy. Race seemed truly comfortable holding Ivy, and he closed his eyes again. Ivy, on the other hand, became more confused. Tesla had successfully reversed time, so why was Race behaving like this? It was so different from Race's previous attitude. Ivy continued to gaze at Race with a puzzled expression.
"Sleep, Ivy! Don't keep staring," Race spoke again without opening his eyes. Ivy was once again surprised because Race hadn't slept yet.
"Sorry, I'll sleep now," Ivy said, closing her eyes in response to Race's words.
As soon as Ivy closed her eyes, Race opened his eyes and looked at Ivy's face. Race smiled gently and then tightened his embrace. He softly kissed Ivy's forehead, causing her to open her eyes wide.
"If our child is a girl, I'm also sure she'll be as beautiful as you, Iv."

Since morning, Miranda has been in a terrible mood. When Miranda came to call Ivy for breakfast, she was greeted with an atmosphere that only intensified her dislike for Ivy. Race and Ivy slept in the same bed, even under the same blanket. Miranda suspected that this would never happen; Miranda knew Race very well. A man of the same age would not just accept Ivy into his life. Miranda was sure that Race would not fall in love with someone else.
Miranda unconsciously slammed the knife she was holding onto the table in her foul mood, which was quite challenging. Selina, who was helping Miranda prepare Ivy's lunch order, was shocked. Miranda's face turned red with anger, and she vividly remembered Race tightly embracing Ivy earlier that morning. With fear, Selina picked up the knife Miranda had thrown, not wanting Miranda to threaten her safety in the kitchen.
"Hey! What's going on?" Selina dared to ask.
Miranda didn't answer; she looked at Selina sharply.
"What's your business? Just do your job! I'm leaving," Miranda said before storming out of the kitchen.
"Hey! Miranda, where are you going? It's still working hours."
Selina kept calling Miranda, trying to get her colleague to come back.
"She might get into trouble if Mr. Race finds out she left during working hours," Selina mumbled, looking a bit worried as she watched Miranda leave.
Outside the pavilion, Ivy was in the backyard garden. The garden was less beautiful than it used to be before Race started caring for it. The variety of planted flowers was still limited, but the backyard garden remained Ivy's favorite place in the pavilion.
Ivy was gazing at each budding black orchid. Yesterday, Race had ordered some male servants to spread new seeds.
"This is strange. Why didn't something like this happen before? And how can Race talk about having a child now? Didn't we discuss that only after we've been through a lot?" Ivy muttered, thinking hard about what was happening.
"Could it be that the time reversal magic doesn't work for Race? Ah, that's highly unlikely," Ivy said again.
Shortly after, Ivy looked at the beautiful blue sky, smiled faintly, and lowered her head again.
"I have to stay focused; my goal in reversing time is not to win Race's heart earlier. I aim to find a way for Race to kick me out of here.
"Yes, that's right. It would be even better if you leave as soon as possible. After all, Mr. Race won't easily fall for a common girl like you, Ivy Marionet," Miranda suddenly said, standing behind Ivy.
Ivy was startled and turned to the source of the voice. Ivy was even more surprised when she saw Miranda saying such cruel things.
"Miranda?"
"Yes, it's me. Why? Are you surprised? I really don't like you, Ivy. You're too naive. You pretend to be innocent and catch Mr. Race's attention. You should be aware, from the beginning, you're nothing more than a captive here."
"Miranda, why are you talking like this? Have I ever wronged you, making you dislike me?"
"It's just like back then, only our dialogue is a bit different now," Ivy thought.
"Yes, from the beginning, accepting the arranged marriage with Mr. Race was a mistake. You shouldn't be with him; you're just a lucky common girl, you know that?"
Ivy was shocked again to hear Miranda's words, even though Ivy had listened to these words from Miranda before. As far as Ivy could remember, she had never hurt Miranda, and Ivy had always been friendly towards her. So why did Miranda hate her without any reason? Race's trusted servant stepped forward towards Ivy.
"Listen to the advice of your servant. It's better for you to live quietly, silently, and not attract the attention of Mr. Race or Mr. Winter. You're not worthy of them. Because you're also from a low class, just like me."
Slap!!!
A hard slap landed on Miranda's cheek precisely when Ivy looked towards the hand that slapped Miranda. Ivy widened her eyes when she saw who was standing next to her.
"What makes you dare to say such things to my wife, Miranda? Don't cross your limits!" Race said, suppressing his emotions.
Miranda grimaced while holding her now hot cheek. Of course, the slap felt very painful now. Race's hand was large enough to slap a woman's cheek. Ivy held Race's hand to prevent him from getting angrier.
"Why did you slap me, Mr. Race? What I said is true, isn't it? You can't possibly like a woman like Ivy. If Mr. and Mrs. Agnito knew who Ivy really is, maybe Ivy wouldn't be made a daughter-in-law in this royal family," Miranda retorted, as if fearless, mocking Ivy right in front of Race.
Race was about to step forward, but Ivy quickly restrained his hand.
"Don't get angry, Race! What Miranda said is true; I am just an adopted child. Perhaps your parents don't know about this. That's why we were arranged," Ivy said.
Race looked at Ivy, trying to control his emotions. Race then harshly brushed off Ivy's hand and approached Miranda again.
"I should have stopped you from today, Miranda. I'm a fool for not trusting my wife earlier. I don't want to see you in this pavilion or anywhere Ivy and I are. If necessary, go back to your hometown, Miranda!"
