She went about her normal housework the next morning. Trying to forget last night's events was nearly impossible, and she couldn't help but turn on the news at lunch.
The parking lot was cordoned off, but it would reopen just in time for dinner. She focused her attention on the news anchor, who was speaking.
The woman continued, "The victim was a twenty-eight-year-old male who appeared to be bloodless." The news reporter said.
Angel shivered as she heard the woman say that her harasser was bloodless and that was the cause of his death. "Since the police are calling it an animal attack, anyone with additional information is encouraged to come forward, back to you, Ms. Yna," the woman said.
"F*ck, it's f*cking killing my mind!" She hissed. " Should I go to the authorities? I don't see how they'd believe me about a man attacking him and draining his blood. Vampires did not even exist in this modern world," she said as she slapped herself, thinking that it would be a lame idea and that the police officer was just going to accuse her if she said anything about it. She kept hoping last night was just a crazy dream and she hadn't seen anyone killed, but the TV had just affirmed her worst despair as she was terrified of what if the vampire came back for her and killed her like how he had killed her harasser.
She decided to get busy after a few minutes of thinking. She finished cleaning the house and prepared to go to work. She wore Korean sneakers and a V-neck T-shirt this time. If anything bad happened again like last night, it would be easy for her to run away.
"I hope, whoever that man was, I'm hoping that he is gone for good. So that, I don't have to worry about it," she thought to herself as she took a deep breath and climbed into her car. She then noticed that someone was staring at her, so she looked around the empty road. Just the aftereffects of last night. She drove to the restaurant while the cops removed the tape and let her in.
All traces of blood had been removed from the area where the body had been dusted over. As she approached the restaurant door, she nodded to the police officer.
"Oh, you are here early," her manager commented as she entered the room.
"Well, I had a feeling that you will need me early," she said, as she smiled at her before looking around the room.
"Angel, can you take Abby's area for today? She hasn't shown up in two days and I can't even contact her," her manager grumbled, rolling her eyes.
She nodded, grabbing her notebook and pen, and straightening her clothes. "Hi, my name is Angel, and I will be looking after you tonight," she said, looking up at the family of four.
She took their orders and was about to return to the kitchen when the doors blew open, drawing everyone's attention in that direction. A chill came over her and she froze. When a tall, handsome man entered the restaurant, everyone seemed to stare at him.
"That guy looks so familiar to me. I just can't remember where I met him," she said to herself as she shrugged her shoulder. They moved to a table at the very back of Abby's area while she was wandering silently in a black hoodie.
The restaurant began chatting again and she finished heading to the kitchen.
"Please, order for table number five," she said to the cook.
"Coming right up!" he exclaimed, smiling.
She then returned to the crowd and began looking for the strange man. Her hair stood up with each step she took closer. "Hi, is there anything I can get you today?" she asked, coming to a halt in front of the lone table. He didn't raise his head. "Red wine," he said.
She shivered as his deep voice echoed from the night before. "F*ck, they have the same voice," she murmured, her silver eyes narrowing as he glared at her. "I-It's h-him," she stammered, trying to calm down herself.
"What do you mean?" he inquired, as customers at the table across from him turned to observe them.
"Y-you. It was you! You are the one who killed the harasser last night," she said. "I saw it clearly how y-you k-killed him," she stuttered. Her eyes widened as she felt her heart pound as she realize that she wasn't safe here as well.
She then accidentally dropped her notebook and dashed out of the restaurant, towards her car. She almost immediately skidded in her tracks as the man stood patiently by her car. She then looked around to ask for some help, but the cops had gone, and only a few lingering customers were walking in and out of the restaurant.
She was about to run again when someone grabbed her from behind. "You will only make things worse for yourself, honey. Don't ever try to scream or else, "he whispered.
"Or else what? You are going to kill me too, like how did you kill the man last night? " She bravely asked as she took a swallow. "What are you looking for? I have nothing! I'm not rich! I'm useless to you!" she exclaimed as she started to sob.
" Shhh, don't cry, honey, trust me, you are safe with me. I can't hurt my beloved Sanya," the man whispered as he kissed her cheeks lightly down to her nick.
"Let's go, honey," he growled, "get in the car and don't make a noise," but her struggle or flight intuitions kicked in and she ran for the trees and shrubs that surrounded the restaurant. She then heard the enigmatic man swear.
She kept running, grateful that she had chosen to wear shoes. She let out a scream as she collided with a tree, and when she turned around, the man was already behind her. "Leave me alone! I don't know who you are! I have nothing to do with you!" She screamed.
The man seemed to be looking at her with suspicion. "Humans are always afraid of what they don't understand; if you'd just followed my orders, we wouldn't be out here," he snarled.
"Please, leave me alone!" she screamed as he approached her.
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her up, making her feel like she was flying before she collided with him again. She then started to struggle. His black hoodie was pushed away from his face by her hands.
She immediately stopped struggling as she stared at him, this man of charm. Sharp jaw, long, nicely shaped nose, olive silver eyes, almost framed by gray hair His skin was unusually pale, resembling snow on dark wood. "F*ck, did I admire his appearance!" she exclaimed, snapping out of her catatonic state.
With a glare, the man re-applied his hood. "All right, now you've done it. Are you done staring at my handsome face? did you remember something?" he groaned, she shook her head as the man pulled her head to the side.
She let out an ear-piercing scream as something sank into her neck, causing her to experience wild bursts of pain. The pain was too much for her, so she slowly summoned the darkness that danced around her vision to embrace her before passing out.
