"At least you put her in her place" Dora rolled her eyes and ate from her fruit plate.

Dara looked at her twin in a reprimanding manner then shook her head and faced Ife who was watching them from the screen on her laptop.

"Don't mind my twin, you know how Dora can be when she doesn't like someone?" Dara apologized.

"She's not afraid to show it, that's her superpower" Ife shrugged.

"Someone gets me at least" Dora raised a brow in her sister's direction.

"You guys, please don't fight. We don't need it, I don't need it" Ife told them and they apologized. "It's fine but I just feel bad for saying that. Like I was in such a good mood and they just came and started with their taunting words" Ife pouts.

"Well, at least e pain them" Dora shrugged.

"Dora!" Dara scolded.

"What? Did I tell them to be taunting Ife? If they can do so to her, they should be ready to take some heat too" Dora took a spoonful of fruit in her mouth then chewed for a while "Whatever you give out, you should be ready to take in. Fire for fire"

"Violence is not the answer"

"Yes, it isn't but vawlence is definitely the answer. You know me now, if you try rubbish, I'll rubbish you" said Dora with a hiss.

"Don't listen to her, just don't cause fight even though they tend to start it, just avoid it and you'll be good. Remember that you have friends, a male bestie" the twins wriggled their brows "And your dad who has been supporting you from start, keep that in mind and you'll be fine" Dara advised.

"Thank you so much girls. I love you both, wish you were here so that I can give each of you a big hug. You both deserve it" Ife grinned.

"We love you too Ife, we just had to stay so that we can get extra marks, you know?" Dora winked. "Don't let those leeches and your mum get to you okay? You'll be good, I see a strong Ife. The strong Ife we know" Dora encouraged and it brought a wide smile to her face.

"You girls make me happy, thank you. We will see after the end of this semester, ba?" the twins nods "I'll be looking forward to it, you girls stay safe and take care, okay?"

"You too Ife, enjoy and bye" Dara said with a wave.

"Wait, one more thing" Dora said "Tell Tomiwa that he shouldn't make you cry else, he'll see hell on this earth" Dora warned and Ife rolled her eyes.

"I heard you, bye" she said and disconnected the call. "Crazy girls" she muttered with a smile.

She lay on her bed as she thought of what to do to kill time, then she remembered something, picked up her phone and dialed a number.

"I have to go and see his mum sef" she face palmed.

"Hello girly, what's up?" Patrick cheerful voice sounded on the phone.

"Hey Patty, I am good, how are you?" she grinned as she expected a reaction from him to the nickname she referred to him.

"Seriously Patty? Ife, I sometimes worry about you, are you fine?" he asked with a little bit of concern in his voice.

Ife burst out laughing then sat up on her bed and looked out the window.

"That will be your new nickname since you like it" she tells him.

"Oh please, don't chase the girls away with that nickname" he told her, sounding so dramatic.

Ife couldn't explain why she felt a twist in her heart when he said that. She shouldn't feel that was since he is her friend, friends support and are happy for each other just like he was when she started dating Tomiwa.

"You're there?" he asked when she didn't answer his question.

"Oh, yeah... yeah, I am" she replied while shaking those feeling away. "You were asking something?"

"Yeah, I was asking if you are coming to meet mum now"

"Not now, but soon, I promise. Dad asked that I invite you for dinner one of these days and I wanted to ask when you'll be available for that"

"Oh, hmm..." he paused for a while then clicked his tongue.

"If you can't, it's fi-"

"How about tonight?" he cuts her off.

"Tonight sounds great, I'll inform him and everyone. Tomiwa will be coming too" she told him.

"Okay, it will be lovely seeing him again" he respond and she smiles.

"Thank you Patrick, we will be expecting you. Tell Deborah I'll see her soon and she should tell me what she want me to bring her as an appease gift.

"Sure, will do. What time is dinner?"

"Be here by six, we'll do some catching up before it starts" she told him.

She would have told that to Tomiwa too but he is found of coming in late, no matter what.

"Okay, see you soon"

"And you too" she hung up then left her room to inform her dad and mum before calling Tomiwa to get ready.

Evening came faster than she expected and by five minutes to six, the door bell rang and she smiles knowing that Patrick will always come some minutes earlier than the supposed time he should be there, so she left the kitchen to go answer the door.

"You're on time as al- Tomiwa?" she was stunned to see her boyfriend standing there instead of her best friend, he wore a huge smile and had a rose in his hand.

She didn't know how to respond to his sudden appearance at this time because it was unusual for him.

"Babe, here, this for you" he handed her the flowers and she took them then moved away for him to get inside. "You don't look happy to see me, were you expecting someone else?" he asked with a small pout after she closed the door and turned to him.

"Oh no," the stunned look was replaced with a smile on her lips "I was indeed expecting you and a friend of mine too" she walked back to the kitchen or continue what she was doing.

She was the one making their dinner today since no one is home aside from her dad who was sleeping in his room.

"I can see that you are cooking already, are you the only one at home?" he asked when he followed her to the kitchen.

"No, dad is sleeping inside. Mum and my sisters aren't around now, they went somewhere" she answered and he nods.

"Okay, can I help with something?" he rolled up his sleeves and she turns to look at him.

"I like this side of you" she comments then pointed to the onions she put on the counter "Please let it stay this way" she begged and he winked "I need them diced" she said.

"Yes, ma'am" he went on to it "Was it Patrick you were expecting?" he asked after a moment.

"Yes, he was to come earli-" the bell rung "That should be him then* she dropped the bowl she was holding so that she can answer the door but Tomiwa stopped her.

"I'll get it, just continue what you're doing" he said and went to the living room to open the door.
