“INDIGO...” Chastity whispered beside Indigo. They were walking with intertwined hands on the school grounds.
“Hmm?” Indigo turned to her with a soft smile on his face.
“They're looking at us," she said, pursing her lips.
Almost all the students were staring at them, especially when they noticed that Indigo was holding her hand.
Indigo just smiled at her. “Don't mind them,” he said nonchalantly.
Chastity then remembered what happened at the party last night.
After Indigo kissed her on the stage, he pulled her inside the house.
"What about Kassandra, Indigo?" she asked him, her cheeks flushed from the kiss they shared. She still couldn't believe that Indigo kissed her on the stage, in front of all those people.
“What about him?" Indigo asked back, his thick eyebrows raised a bit.
She bit her lower lip. "Aren't you two together?"
Indigo held her face and caressed her cheek. “Baby, I wouldn't kiss you if I'm in love with another girl. There's nothing going on between me and Kassandra, okay?”
“But I saw at the clinic. She hugged you.” She frowned.
“She confessed her feelings to me that time, but I reject her,” Indigo explained while looking straight into her eyes.
“I tried to move on from you, Chas, I tried to forget you but I just couldn’t. I’m in love with you, Chas. Then and now.”
Chastity bit her lower lip to prevent her tears from falling. She could feel the sincerity in Indigo's words. She could see from his eyes that she was telling the truth.
“I thought you already moved on, Indigo. I thought I already lost my chance, and you just wanted to get even with me. That's why you agreed to the date." She pursed her lips. "I didn't even receive a single text from you when you went to Ilocos even when you told me the day before that you're going to reply to all my texts. Then…”
“I’m sorry, baby,” he said in a regretful voice. “I lost my phone in Ilocos, and didn't know how I could text you since I don't memorize your number,” he explained. “When I got back here in Manila, I got sick. I talked to your best friend since I haven't seen you on campus but then she told you to go back to Davao to visit your parents."
Chastity pursed her lips. “Can you repeat it, Indigo?”
“What?” Indigo said with a furrowed brow. "Do you want me to repeat everything I said?"
She smiled. "No. Just the part where you called me 'baby'? I missed you calling me that, Indigo."
He smiled and planted a kiss on her forehead. “I missed it, too, baby. I missed you. I'm glad you're here with me again."
Chastity felt like her heart melted. "I missed you, too. You don't know how happy I am that we're together again."
But she stilled when she noticed Kassandra walking in their direction. She was with her best friend Grey.
“Grey, Kass,” Indigo greeted the two in front of them.
Grey greeted them back.
Chastity saw how Kassandra's eyes went down to Indigo and her intertwined hands.
“Congrats, I. I’m happy for you.” Kassandra said to Indigo, a small smile on her face.
"Thanks, Kassandra," Indigo answered.
“She’s really nice, Indigo,” Chastity said in a small voice when the two walked past them.
"She's pretty and kind…”
Chastity could help but compare herself to Kassandra. “She can also make you smile.”
Indigo faced her. “Yes, Kassandra can make me smile, Chastity, but it was only you who can make me laugh. It was only you who could make me go crazy. You're the only one who knows how to make my heart go wild.”
“You almost fell for her," she said with a small smile.
“What I felt for her wasn't close enough to half of what I felt for you,” Indigo said. He brought her hand to his lips and kissed it.
Chastity blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes.
“Indigo, thank you… thank you for loving me. Thank you for staying in love with me. Thank you for choosing me again."
“Don’t you have any practice today, Indigo?" Chastity asked Indigo that day.
It was Saturday and Indigo fetched her at Karen's house. He said they would go on a date today.
He looked so handsome in his white shirt, ripped jeans, and messy hair. His diamond earring glinted and so were his chinky eyes. She missed this guy so much.
“Red and Blue were in Batangas, Grey was busy with Cashmere and me?” He looked at her. “I'm busy with my girl.” He held her hand and intertwined it with his.
Chastity looked at their intertwined hands. She couldn't believe they were together again. She almost gave up.
“Let’s eat ice cream,” Indigo told her after they arrived at the mall. "I'm craving some strawberry ice cream right now."
Chastity's brows furrowed at him. “Huh? I thought you no longer eat strawberry-flavored ice creams?" she asked in a confused tone.
Indigo smiled at her. “I stopped eating anything strawberry-flavored food after we broke up. I couldn't eat any strawberry ice cream without thinking of you. But now, I can eat strawberry-flavored ice cream again.”
Chastity bit her lower lip. “I'm sorry, Indigo.”
He smiled before kissing the top of her head. “Stop apologizing, baby. Let's leave everything in the past, okay? I missed you, my vanilla girl.”
She looked at him and smiled. “I missed you, my strawberry boy.”
After eating ice cream, Indigo pulled her into a bookstore.
“You're still a book hoarder,” Indigo teased her, looking at the books in her hand.
Chastity pursed her lips.
“Well, nothing has really changed about me, Indigo,” Chastity answered, smiling at her boyfriend.
“I'm still the Chastity who likes eating vanilla ice cream. I'm still the same girl who's in love with the guy named Indigo."
She saw how Indigo's eyes twinkled. “And I'm still the same boy who's in love with you."
