I really didn’t know how to take what Bam told me over the weekend because, it has been in my mind since Saturday.
What she is going through from just finding out and not wanting to show how she is truly feeling. I know that she is hurting but she keeps saying that she is fine numerous times.
I can’t even imagine my parents separating or getting divorced, GOD forbids.
I am so sure that it’s all taking a toll on her and I do hope that she will be fine. I will make sure that she never feels alone no matter how many times she tells me that she is fine and I shouldn’t worry about things.
So, I went to find out about the place I and Bam saw in the newspaper and I saw that it was something legit and something that I want to try for the mean time, you know.
If it could get me to concentrate on one thing without getting tired of it and looking for something else to try after a few months or weeks, then I better give it a try.
I went there early in the morning and met with a really kind and smiley receptionist who attended to my every query. I am so surprised that she didn’t get irritated with all the questions I was asking, even though some were repetitive and similar to the ones she answered.
Bam would have slapped it into my ears and I wouldn’t dare ask her one more time due to the glare that will be directed at me.
I told the receptionist who goes by the name Faith, that I would be back later today and that would be after school hours or by weekends.
They have their classes Monday and Saturday every week so that is a good thing for me.
“You are never too young to know where your destiny is leading you to” I muttered to myself then closed my locker and didn’t not prepare for the scare that await me when I turned around.
I was so glad that I didn’t let out a scream or yelp like a donkey when I unexpectedly saw Jeremy standing there with a smile on his face as he sips his juice.
“You seem to take pleasure in wanting me to have a heart attack” I said and walked away from him while my racing heart calmed.
“I doubt its working” he muttered and followed behind me.
“What do you want this time?”
“Your attention” he replied and I stopped to look at him with one of my eyebrows raised. “See, I got your attention now” he pointed to me and took a sip with the straw sticking inside the cup.
I shook my head and began walking away from him but I could feel him walking behind me.
“That’s the only time you get my attention” I told him and entered the class which we were having now.
Thanks be to GOD that Mrs. Dewls hasn’t gotten inside the class before I did. She hates me, that’s why I have to make it a daily mission to be in class before she gets ins so that I don’t have to receive the end of her wrath. I really don’t know her exact reasons for disliking me but I think I like it that way.
She teaches us English language and asked us to write something about ourselves. She said that we should explain in deep rooted words on how we feel about ourselves, about things happening around us, and just how we feel about things.
Frankly, I had nothing written out so I think I will be having more future problems with her when she ask us to submit what we wrote or maybe I can be the good student and just scribble something out before her evil presence surround our classroom.
“Why are you ignoring me?” I felt a tap on my arm and I turned to look at Jeremy who wore a bored look and a small pout on his lips.
I thought he left me when I got into my thinking bubble, didn’t know he was talking to me.
“Am I?” I asked to provoke him but that didn’t work seeing that he just rolled his eyes and moved closer to me and looked at my now open notebook.
“You haven’t done your assignment yet” he asked and I shook my head then went back to thinking of what I could scribble down, anything that can get my pen into writing mode.
“I am not a wordy person and would prefer to express myself through talking, I find it hard to write a letter so this is getting my brains worked up” I tell him and he hummed then brought out a book from his back before handing it over to me.
“For?” I asked and he urged me to take it so I did and opened to see really fine set of handwritings on the books then I closed it and looked at him.
“You can go through what I wrote, to have an idea on what you could write. I am totally bad at it so pardon me” he said then brought out his phone and started typing.
At least I don’t have to think too much about things… I have got other things that need space in my head to wander about.
I read what he wrote and nod my head in amusement to what he wrote there… maybe I can take a picture to use against him when needed. I looked up at him to see that he was still typing away on his phone so I quickly took out my phone and snapped the needed thing to snap before putting my phone away and writing what I could.
Not long after I returned his book, Mrs. Dewls entered the classroom and everyone went to their respective seats then became quiet as we await her to start the lesson for the day.
I did notice that something… no, rather someone was missing here in our midst and a furrow graced my face as I looked around the class for any sight of her.
How come I didn’t notice that Bam wasn’t in class when I entered? Oh yeah, I was lost in my train of thoughts but still I would have noticed that she was missing or something.
Where could she have gone to? She doesn’t miss classes, depends though but no matter how much she dislikes the teacher, she always tries to be in class even if she will sulk over why she couldn’t ditch classes or daydream about her adventure with Shawn Mendes.
“You are looking for Bamrick?” Jeremy asked and I nod my head then continued looking at the students one after the other to see if she is there.
We definitely would have met before class started so, she isn’t in class. If she isn’t here, where could she be? I asked myself and just then I heard Mrs. Dewls talking to someone and when I looked at the front of the classroom, Bam was there standing by the doorway with a bored expression on her face.
Thank GOD, she’s here finally. I jubilated in my head and hoped that she wouldn’t get detention for being late to class. Detention isn’t what she needs at the moment.
“Why were you late to my class?” I heard her ask again and Bam’s eyes met with mine and I could see how bad she was stopping the eyeroll that tempted to come when she asked her that question.
“I am sorry for coming in late” was Bam’s response.
“What exactly made you late to my class” she crossed her arms and the bored expression on Bam’s face didn’t fade away.
“I’m sorry Mrs. Dewls, it wouldn’t happen again” she answered yet again and was given a once over by Mrs. Dewls before she let her go.
“Wait” she called out to Bam and she turned to face her. “I want you to read out the assignment I gave you all. Everyone will come up here and say out loud what they wrote to the class, so come here and start” she told Bam and she just shrugged then walked to the front of the class with a paper in her hand.
Bam’s eyes met mine before they went to the paper she was holding and she started reading what she wrote there.
