"What? but that's impossible, she was supposed to come here," Nick said, sounding really angry.
"yes, your highness, she was supposed to, but it seems she had someone better to save. " the guard he was yelling at said.
"that little brat is just making my job hard." Nick said in deep thought. I have been here for a couple of days now and I have never seen Nicholas this angry, or rather, this defeat, I wonder what's wrong.
In case you are wondering, my stay in this little cage has been going great. well, not great but at least it isn't that bad. I was asked to pick a guard that'll be in charge of taking care of my needs, and I chose Zaid. we spend a lot of time together, he takes me out whenever i want to use the bathroom or take a shower. so now, I spend my whole day giving him that 'pretty girl' look, with the hope that one day, he will fall in love with me and help me escape, then we can go live our dreams together, leaving all this vampire mess behind.
I'm sure that will happen someday, cause right now, we are in the friends' stage of our relationship. the only time we are not together is during the day, when nick goes to sleep, I have to be in the same room with him all the time, so whenever he goes to sleep, I have to follow him to his room. ughhh. and whenever I'm asleep, he's either in a meeting or working on something.
it's funny how vampires go to sleep in the daytime and wake up at night. well, not throughout the day, they normally go to bed when the sun starts getting hot. sometime around 11 or so, and then they wake around 4pm and continue working until 11 again, so they sleep for like 5 to 6 hours and that's all. that's a few of the things I have learned about vampires. I know a lot about them now, like what they eat, (blood and meat) and what they are afraid of (sunlight, garlic, anything made of silver.) I also learned about their elements and powers. Nick's element is water, while Zaid, earth. they can also teleport, read minds, communicate telepathically, fly, speak to bats, and become invisible, (only a few can do that.). and I learned that I will be able to do some of those things soon, since i am a half vampire and already sixteen, only I won't be able to possess all the powers and I can't be as strong or fast as the pure Vampires.
well, i learned all of that thanks to prince Nick. he says I'm too noisy and disturbing so, he gave me a bunch of books and forced me to read them.

"What's going on?" i asked Zaid when Nick and the guards left. he was about to reply when suddenly my cage started moving, in the direction that nick went. ughhh stupid damn cage, stupid prince. I was just about to
have a conversation with Zaid and Nick fucked it up.
when Nick first chose to spare my life and keep me in a cage, I thought things would be a bit nice, at least I thought he would stop being cold and mean, but I was f**king wrong. he's still that fucking vicious monster who doesn't mind getting rid of anyone in his way.
the last time he was nice to me was when he said that I have a pretty smile. since then, he went back to being the asshole he has always been. all he has on his mind is how to get the stone from kara, and take over the world.
"Nick, what's wrong?" I asked after gathering a lot of courage. uh, and did I mention that he hates it whenever I call him nick. he tried to stop me but gave up after realizing i was as stubborn as him. lol.
"it's nothing." he replied shortly before entering the meeting hall. ughh i can't believe we are having another meeting. I hate these vampire meetings. just messed up men talking about how to take over kingdoms. pathetic.
"your highness." all the men stood up and bowed at Nick's presence. while I just laid in my mobile cage.

"anyone ready to explain what happened today?" Nick asked with authority.
"your majesty, it was a well planned break in, we did not see it coming. she came in and took max away, and that wasn't what we expected." one of the guards said.
"but that's outrageous, she was supposed to come for her sister, and then we catch her, but she chose that brat over her sister. why?" Nick said, and that's when I realized who they were talking about, it was Kara. did she really come all the way here just to save Max and leave me behind? but why?
"your majesty, we made sure that news about her sister being held captive reached her. but based on what the CCTV footage caught, she didn't make an attempt to come to get her. her only aim was to free max and leave." the man said.
"of course, she left, she knew she would have to give up the stone in order to get her sister. who would stupidly pick anything in place of the most valuable stone in the universe." another man said.
"We made the deal clear, her sister for the stone. you thought she was a dumb human your majesty, but you seemed to have forgotten that she has vampire genes in her. and no vampire would pick a bloody relative over the stone." another vampire said. their words broke me bits by bit, I can't believe kara picked some magical powers over me. it just doesn't sound like something she would do.
"your highness, she had company, Nathaniel and joshua of the white coven." another guy said, showing Nick a video in a laptop. "I always knew these white coven members will someday turn their backs on us." Nick said. I peeked so I would be able to see for myself. and to my greatest surprise, it was kara, she really did come here and chose to free max and then leave, how dare she. she has always acted as if she could sacrifice her life for me, always looking out for me, always asking me to mend my ways, and now she gets hold of power and she picks that over me! her sister?
"your majesty, why don't we all take turns with this pretty human girl and then get rid of her body? since she's useless." the creepiest of them all said as he moved close and started unlocking my cage. I gulped hard, but what annoyed me the most was being called useless over my sister again. Just as it has always been.
