Yeah, it's not that easy. The antidote is meant to help prevent the pains and horror. But it has its pains and horrors. I thought I was going to die last night, and I had already given up hope. But here I am, alive and a bit healthy.
I grew fangs last night, and seeing myself in that form hurts me more than the pain the antidote brought. Jasmine said the günes potion has left my body and it's safe to travel now. I don't want to go back to the scary world because of how safe it is here in the witch's den. But then, I'm glad we're leaving. I think Jasmine has had enough of me. She's so mean and distant and she behaves as though I'm creating a barrier between her and layla. I don't know what's going on between them and I don't want to get involved. So I'll just mind my business. By the way, I need to think about finding Max and Kendra. Nathan said we'll get there in seven days. I hope we get there earlier than that.
We don't have a plan yet, but I'm sure we'll think of something.
“Ready?“ Nathan grinned
“I guess..“
“Good, let's go say goodbye to Layla and Jasmine.”
“Alright”.
“ Are you two that excited about leaving? It's only 6 am stay a bit longer” Layla's voice echoed.
“Thanks for the hospitality Layla, but we need to leave as early as possible. You don't want your Lil bro to get tortured by Vampires do you?“ Nathan said smiling.
“I'll miss you all” Layla Said sadly before hugging us tightly. I could see Jasmine through the corners of my eyes and the look she was giving me was deadly. Then, Nathan left our warm hug and walked toward her, and said.
“Good bye Jasmine, stay strong. it'll be tough to deal with being a vampire and a witch but trust me, it'll be alright. I'll send Josh over to help you with training.“
“Nathan, I'll be able to handle things myself, there's no need for all that stress. I'm all grown up now.“
“Shhhh, you'll always be my little girl jas, no matter your age, you'll always be that little baby I used to hold in my arms.“ he said before embracing her. I could see tears in their eyes. It's the most emotional scene I've ever seen.
Yes, it's kinda weird that they look the same age and I could have sworn that they'll make a great couple. But after their little drama today, they make a better father and daughter.

It's been a silent journey since we left the witches' den.
Our journey has been reduced from seven days to three days thanks to Layla's help. She gave us two horses, but thanks to my illiteracy in the aspect of riding, we could only accept one. Now we're riding happily. I'm glad I'll be able to get to Max and Ken quickly.

“Nathan!“ I screamed all of a sudden. My heart was beating quickly and I was sweating profusely.
Nathan stopped riding when he heard me scream his name. He jumped down the horse and then, carefully put me down.
My hands were shaking my heart was pounding hard as though it'll leave my chest.
Nathan stared at me carefully, then, slowly placed his palms on my chest. “PANGS” he muttered. “Stay calm, control yourself. Whatever you do, don't leave this place.“ He added and then left without Waiting a second.
I was freaking out! Nathan just left me in the middle of nowhere, I felt like I was going to die.
Without a warning, my fangs grew long and claws tore out of my fingers. My chest kept beating hard and there was this immense longing, my heart wanted something but I didn't know what it was. My heart ached severely that I forgot we were wanted. I screamed at the top of my voice and asked for help.
No one was coming, I was losing it! The pain was unbearable. Worse than menstrual cramps or ulcer attacks.
All I could say was “Nathan! Nathan! Help…..“
“It's alright princess I'm here.“ I heard his worried voice. That's when I noticed that my eyes were shut. I opened them and saw Nathan standing close with something in his hands. I had to clear my eyes before I could decipher what it was. It was a deer, a huge one, it was still living but looked tired, probably because of the struggle with Nathan.
The craziest thing was that I could see through its veins, I could feel the blood pumping in its heart, and going through its veins.
Without a second thought. I sank my already elongated fangs into its neck.
Blood flowed through my veins, I couldn't get enough so, I sank my teeth deeper. I wanted more. My head was against this but my heart was all for it.
The feeling of satisfaction slowly covered me. My heartbeat became normal and the pain vanished. The hunger and longing that filled me were replaced with satisfaction. I was relieved and so was Nathan.
I slowly let go of the animal and raised my head. Blood was dripping from my lips. I used my tongue to clean my messy face-up. Who would have thought that blood tasted this good?
“Congrats Kara! Your first feeding.“ Nathan said happily.
I moved close to him and embraced him warmly.
“That's the scariest moment I've experienced.“ I said with heavy breaths.
“There's nothing to be afraid of, I'll always be with you.“ He replied.
“Thanks, Nathan”.
The hug was getting awkward and I bet Nathan felt the same way. He let go quickly and walked towards a tree. I followed him and we both sat under it.
“Pangs”. Nathan said.
“What?“
“Pangs. That's what it's called. Hunger pangs. This happens anytime s vampire craves blood.” he added
“Does it always have to be this painful, or is it a first-time thing?“
“No, it's not a first-time thing”. He said. This hit my heart hard. I'll have to go through this shitty experience over and over again.
“No no no, don't get me wrong. It can be controlled. when you start craving blood, you need to feed immediately, this will help prevent all that struggle.“
“And don't worry, as I said, I'll always be there.“
