~Recap~
“You better keep your eyes open and live in reality, Mister daydreamer.” Azura says while getting up and settling herself. As her face goes up, she notices a strange container leaning over the door of the class she was supposed to go in. She then straightens up and lands her eyes down where she locates the most expected person ever.
“Cindy…”
“Did you say something, Azura?”
Azura shakes her as an answer to Theo's question while still looking in the same direction at Cindy. Theo makes a puzzled expression. “Is everything alright?”
Nonchalantly nodding to the man, Azura quotes, “Yep, everything is definitely right. Just someone is gonna learn their lesson.”
“By someone, you mean us? Because that's what we're here for. To learn our lesson. Right?”
Azura facepalms.
______
“Hey, Cindy. Look. She's finally here!”
The said lady follows the voice of her friend and a devilish smile of satisfaction appears on her lips. “She's been arriving late lately. Maybe she's trying to be like a queen of campus, especially now she always hangs out with Theo who literally is treated like a king in the entire campus.”
“Hmm, you're right, Leanne.” Cindy agrees with the latter. “Well, if she wants to be a queen, she will be treated like one for sure.” She looks at Leanne with a suggestive look as Leanne nods in understanding and then they both begin laughing slowly in unison.
“Man, I couldn't even work on the assignment given last week and now we got another one this week. Professor may ask for a submission. We must get it done before the batch starts.” A masculine voice came as the two boys were making their way to the same class as Azura and Theo.
“Right dude. Let's work on it in the class.” Another voice joined in.
“Uh-uh, where do you guys think you're going?” Cindy prevents the two guys from going past her.
They frown confusingly. “In our class which you're blocking, Cindy. Now let us in.”
“Hey, can't you hear what she said? We're busy with some stuff here. Wait till the professor arrives. Get your work done somewhere else.” Leanne barges in, startling the two young men.
“And by the way, are these the incomplete assignments we were given last week? You know that they must have been completed by now, no?” Cindy asks.
“Yes, we know that and that's why we're early to complete them before the submission begins.”
Both Leanne and Cindy chuckle in unison before Cindy suggests, “And what if I'd go and inform the Dean that you're attempting to finish it only in the end moment?”
“No, no. Please don't do that.”
“Then go to the cafeteria and get it done there. We're still giving you a chance you should actually be grateful.” Leanne pitched and her tone itched the two boys so badly that they just shrugged and made their way to the canteen as suggested.
“Leanne, Cindy, you two here?”
And another masculine joins but this time upon hearing it, Cindy was satisfied instead of annoyed.
Both Cindy and her friend then shift towards the sound. “Oh, hey. Theo. And, why do you look so surprised after seeing us here? It's our college as well. Isn't it obvious that we both will also be here every morning just like you two?”
Theo chuckles in a way of scoffing. He then crosses his hands. “Well that obviously isn't. But you standing right here in front of the class is definitely obvious. Especially knowing that you aren't the type of student who understands the meaning of study.”
All the three ladies have their mouths agape. The difference was only that, while Azura was surprised, Cindy and Leanne were shocked. Although they both expected a comeback from the man, they believed that he might be soft the least. Man went harder on them.
“Ahem.“ Cindy clears her throat to make the situation less awkward, specifically less embarrassing for her and the other. She then adds, “Well, we were actually here to welcome you, Theo.” She shifts her towards Azura and her expression enrages internally. “As well as Azura.”
Azura huffs subtly at the latter's tone. “And why did you have to say my name so venomously?”
Chuckling in a sensible mocking way, Cindy answers. “Oh, trust me. I'm trying my best to be vibing with your name. It's not my fault that your name itself is a venom.”
Azura could feel her blood boiling inside but she just takes a breath and speaks subtly. “Right. You're right, Cindy. My name is a venom. In fact, I myself am a toxicant so you better move out of my way before I poison you to death.”
The last lines of Azura has Cindy flinch somewhat because it feels as if Azura would do what she said for real. And so Cindy just backs away, giving Azura more space to go ahead.
When Azura holds the door handle, a smile of accomplishment takes place on Cindy's face.
However, as soon as the smile comes, it fades away in the same speeds when Cindy hears Azura say, “I think I stepped on something. Did you drop your credit card here, Cindy? Well then, I probably broke it already.”
The said woman's face perplexes. “What? No way.”
Azura shrugs in a way to show that she didn't care and so Cindy enrages as she pushes away Azura.
“Where is it? Where is my freaking card you dumbass?” The young woman begins looking for her belonging in a hassled manner but couldn't find it. She then herself picks on the door and moves it to see if it was under it.
“Umm, Cindy. I think you should not…” Leanne tries to alert her friend and stop her from doing something stupid but it was already too late when the other three were met with a few drops of some liquidic substance while Cindy was totally soaked under it.
Her face was painted red along with her upper body and clothes and the color seemed so intense that it probably even covered the furious look the soaked lady had.
