Aubrey did not expect those things to happen that day. Everything went so fast! Earlier, they had just gotten married, and now the four of them, Faith, Erin, and Skyler, are in the students' park. The three of them still didn't stop teasing her even though she mentioned that she wasn't happy that Faith slipped out of the bathroom and excused herself just so that Miller could register them at the wedding booth.
"That was actually nothing compared to what happened to me earlier," Skyler said. “Try to ask me what my experience was in the stressful booth of our section. It's tiring to be a waiter. ”
“We don't care. The wedding between Miller and Aubrey was iconic. Do you think it's iconic that you entertain the guest and save the guest's food? Not a single thing about that is remarkable,” Faith hissed.
Skyler took a deep breath. “You are always like that to me. I never felt the love as a friend, ”he said.
Aubrey, Faith, and Erin laughed. "Shall I register you and Jamie to make up for that?" smiling, Erin teased Skyler. This is why Skyler's eyes seem to twinkle.
“What a froglet, I no longer have money. I also paid one hundred for Aubrey and Miller's wedding, okay. ”
That's how the friends joke from time to time. The day doesn't end without them joking or teasing each other. They're really only targeting Skyler because he's just too shy and he's too stupid for the woman he's meeting.
When the friends finished talking, they walked away from the students' park. They passed the school cafeteria so Aubrey looked inside the store. "I feel like I'm hungry again," Aubrey said.
"Let's get inside, it's delicious and I'm getting hungry as well," Skyler exclaimed. They entered the cafeteria.
The moment they stepped inside the cafeteria, Aubrey noticed Miller at the far table. He has a smoothie and panini sandwich. Miller did not look in their direction because earphones were plugged into his ear. He seemed like he doesn't care about the world around him.
Aubrey found it cute.

Every sections were given a room in the home economics building of the school. The building is huge and it resembles a real home. It was used by students who chose the caregiving strand when they were in eleventh grade so this building is big.
"Miller!" Miller was called by the teacher to manage their section for their retreat. He immediately turned to Ms. Lopez. "Please. Can you take it to the faculty room? It's on the first floor of this building."
Miller had no choice but to do the request. In this case, he had no choice but to accept it because it was embarrassing to reject the teachers. Approaching the teacher, he was given a box that was really heavy. Its top is open. Dirty books were exposed with layers of cobwebs on top. Disgusting.
"Before I forget, don't close the door of that room. The utility still hasn't fixed that door. If you close that door and you're inside, you can't get out unless someone kicks the door from the outside, "said Ms. Lopez. Miller just nodded.
He exited the room set aside for their section. To be completely honest, he would rather be trapped in that room than interact with his classmates. He doesn't like activities like retreats. Aside from the fact that he has no problems in life, he doesn't want to open up to people he's not close to.
From the third floor, he descended to the first floor. He was about to kick the ajar door of the faculty but he felt a scratch on his arm. He looked to his right. It was Aubrey who touched his arm. He raised an eyebrow.
"What are you going to do with that?" Aubrey asked, smiling.
He sparingly replied, "Nothing." He kicked the door softly. In comparison to other rooms in this building, the faculty's room is a bit odd. This room is dark. It's almost like an abandoned room.
He just ignored Aubrey. He went straight into this room and placed the box handed to him by Ms. on the nearest table. Cruz. Aubrey turned on the light in the room.
Ha gazed at Aubrey who's holding the door knob. Her heart seemed to attack when Aubrey slammed the door. "No! We can't get out!" Miller ran in Aubrey's direction. He can't do nothing no more, the door is already closed.
He turned the door knob but it never really opened. "Oh God," she complained. "I should have told you we'd be locked in here if you closed the door."
Aubrey covered her mouth. "Oh no, sorry! I had no idea!" she apologized.
Miller just smiled sparingly. "Don't worry about it. It's my fault I didn't let you know. No need to worry about it," Miller assured her. The young man tried again to open the door but the door still did not cooperate. Giving up, he looked at his wristwatch. It's six o'clock in the afternoon. This means, the retreat has already begun.
"We're screwed. The retreat has definitely started," he said.
Aubrey pulled the phone out of her pocket. "Wait a minute. Maybe they'll answer my texts or calls," Aubrey said. She opened her phone. Miller looked at Aubrey's face. She looked frustrated, which is why Miller couldn't help but smile.
Aubrey noticed Miller's secret smile. "Hey, my husband, what's the smile for? Why are you laughing at me?" She jokingly asked Miller.
"Your husband?" Miller repeated what Aubrey had just said.
"Seriously, you forgot about our fake wedding right away? You're so unfaithful. Just kidding!" Aubrey slapped Miller's arm lightly. "Faith, Erin or Skyler aren't online. It looks like they're all having fun now in our classroom."
Aubrey rolled her eyes at the room. She pointed to the two chairs on the side. “Let’s sit down first while we wait,”she said. Miller just followed Aubrey who was sitting there already.
The two of them were just silent as they sat down. Aubrey is trying hard to message her friends, while Miller is just staring at nothingness. He assesses himself as to why he hasn’t even been able to get mad at Aubrey. Is it because he fell in love with her already?
No, Miller. It's too early for you to say that. Maybe you just liked the way she treated you. What if she doesn't feel the same towards you? You will only embarrass yourself.
His intuitions were telling him to stop thinking about her, but he also opposed what his brain was saying. He couldn't control his own mind every minute he sees Aubrey's gentle face. Not just that, he was also engrossed with her attitude and her sense of justice. Think about it, Aubrey defended him without hesitation? Who wouldn't fall for this kind of person?
Aubrey stood out of nowhere. "Thank God, Faith saw my messages!" she cried. "It's a good thing they haven't forgotten about us. Thank you Lord!"
Aubrey looked at his face. "Let's go!" anito. The girl held Miller's hand so the man was forced to stand. He could no longer control his own thrill so his face turned red.
The softness of his hand.
"Aubrey..."
Still with a smile on her face, she slightly raised her shoulders. "What about it?" she asked.
"I like you."
The smile on her face faded. It was replaced by Aubrey's gaping - she didn't understand it at all. Was she surprised by his confrontation or was she disgusted?
"Miller, I actually l--"
"Hello, pimples!"
That was Faith's grand entrance when the door was kicked open. Aubrey ran to her friend and surprised her with an embrace. "You're a lifesaver!" she shouted.
Miller's mind was not clear.
Does she like me too?

"Miller sweetie, what is this picture?" Miller's mother inquired. His mommy Mina showed him a picture uploaded on Facebook. Above, Miller Benedict Aquino was tagged in this photo. Miller's eyes widened when he saw who had posted. Faith - Aubrey's friend. Was she even able to upload it on social media?
"T-that's nothing, Mommy!" Miller shouted. "She forced Aubrey and me to get married in a fake wedding booth of a section. I have no choice because I don't want to lose seventy-five pesos."
Her Mommy laughed softly. He has already started to drive. "I always remember my first love," he said. "Your Daddy is my first love, Miller. My first and last love."
"It's okay if you like her. I don't have a problem with that. As long as you study hard, I won't object to you two," she assured him.
Miller is not open with his family about his love life. Well, not like he has a love life before. Just like Mommy Mina told Aubrey and her friends, his last crush was when he was still too young to understand what love is.
