Mrs. Jane glanced, glaring at Mark.
Don't think that Jessica can cover her face and get past her. This child, she understood too well.
"Really? Is it really that obedient?"
“..”
His mother really never trusted him.
Jessica smiled softly.
"Yes."
This statement carries a hidden meaning, what is the meaning of this, of course Mark has heard it.
Mrs. Jane sighed, "You're miserable."
Mark rolled his eyes at his mother.
Suffering?
This is his biological mother, the mother who gave birth to him and now has an adopted daughter to push him away.
"You two talk, I'm coming to the corporation."
"Wait a minute."
Mrs. Jane suddenly spoke up.
"What's the matter, mother?"
"There's something I need to tell you two."
Mark raised his eyebrows, knowing well that his mother was referring to the William family party. This time, she was on a trip and had only gone to a few places and hurried back because of this party.
"What's the matter?"
Instinctively, Jessica asked her back.
"Jessica, suddenly stopping the trip this time because of a family party taking place this weekend."
This matter, Jessica had heard from the housekeeper the other day, but she didn't know which family held a party that made her adoptive mother come back to the country to attend.
Mrs. Jane paused for a moment, looked at the two children's expressions for a few seconds, and then slowly continued: "Jessica, come with me that day. I want to introduce you to everyone."
Jessica paused. She thought for a moment and nodded.
"Yes yes."
"Mom, what clan's party is this?"
Mrs. Jane happily replied, "It's William, have you heard of it?"
House William?
Jessica's face changed slightly.
The other man was also of the William family, wouldn't it be so coincidental that he was a member of the William family?
"Jessica, I forgot to tell you. Lady William is my older sister."
Jessica was taken aback.
Not so coincidental, is it?
She was still doubting whether the man was a member of the William family, suddenly learning that her adoptive mother was related to Mrs. William by blood.
If it was really as she thought, he was a member of the William family, then the world would be really small!
Going back and forth, in the end could not escape.
Her lips moved to ask something, and finally changed into a sentence: "Yes."
Evening at Jane's Mansion,
"Hello."
"Hello Jessica, your friend is currently drunk at XX City Bar..."
"I know, I'll come later."
Jessica pursed her lips in response to the bar manager, then she reached for her knee-length coat and bag and prepared to go to the location the bar manager told her to.
"Jessica, are you going out?"
Jessica stopped walking, she turned her head to look at Mark enjoying tea in the living room and said: "Keisha was drunk, so I'll go pick her up!"
...
XX bar,
As Jessica followed the waiter up to an enclosed room, she accidentally saw a figure dressed in black inlaid deep into her mind in the distance.
Her footsteps stopped, her eyes looked in that direction again but there was no longer that familiar figure.
Very familiar!
Could it be that it was just the dim lights that made her see it wrong?
Jessica shook her head, smiling bitterly.
An illusion indeed!
Pushing open the door of the vip room, her eyes wandered around, only to see that the room that was once neat and tidy was now a mess.
On the tea table was a pile of beer cans scattered on the ground.
Next to it was a girl half-sitting on the sofa with her eyes closed, her hands wobbling, her lips moving, saying something.
Jessica sighed and said to the waiter, "You go out."
The door to the room closed, she just walked up to the girl.
Her whole body bent slightly, raised her hand and patted the girl's face a few times.
"Keisha, wake up let's go home."
"Um, Jessica, I haven't finished my drink yet!"
Keisha dreamily opened her eyes, saw a familiar delicate face, blinked her eyes, and lamented: "Look, you're drunk, do you still want to drink more?"
Jessica raised her eyebrows. Keisha's whole body, the whole room was filled with the smell of alcohol that made one's nose prickle.
It's been a long time since three years ago until now, Jessica has never touched a bottle of wine, a can of beer.
It's not that she didn't want to drink, but she knew that her health after that miscarriage was so poor that she couldn't touch these strong things.
She pulled Keisha up, placing her hand on her shoulder.
"Be quiet, if you still move I'll take you to the mountains to feed the wolves."
Seeing Keisha unwilling to let go, she warned in a low voice.
Sure enough, as soon as this word ended, the girl next to her calmed down, she focused all of her body on her.
Jessica shook her head, helping her out.
"Oh my! Aren't these two young ladies of the John and James clan? What a coincidence!"
Before Jessica could step into the elevator, she heard a sarcastic voice coming from behind her and stopped, helping the girl next to her.
She turned her head, and her eyes were met by two slender bodies dressed in skimpy clothes, with heavy makeup on their faces approaching.
Jessica's face darkened.
Her lips curled up: "What a coincidence!"
"Second sister, long time no see. Since when have you returned home? Why don't you visit your parents. They miss you so much."
The girl next to her smiled softly, her voice sweet.
"This does not need my sister to remind me. I will visit them when I have time."
Jessica indifferently said.
"Yes."
The girl nodded obediently in response.
The innocent and innocent look like a deer, timidly made the girl standing next to her couldn't help saying:
"Brenna, how are you? She used to bully and bully you, have you forgotten. When you meet again, why do you have to be polite to the kind of person who was abandoned by the whole John family."
