CHAPTER THREE

TAESE was fumming mud when he walked into his grandfather's office.

He straight away made his way to his grandfather's company when his parents didn't stop calling and bothering him while he and his friends are having fun. He's really irritated by that. And his friend even teased him becuase of that. How lucky he was.

He saw his grandfather, Mion, dozing off in his chair.

"GRANDPA, DON'T ACT SLEEPY!" He shouted angrily. "I thought you'll handle my parents for me. But why they were bothering me again this time?! I want fucking peace!"

Mion opened his eyes and looked at him after hearing those. He was smiling as he heard his grandson's anguish.

"I'll handle them if you officially accept my will."

"The fuck!" He mocked. He knew it coming. He expected it. His grandfather never did anything unless he could profit from it.

"Okay. I accepted it." Annoyed, he stated.

Mion clasped his hands together and placed them on the table before resting his chin on it.

"You're accepting it?"

"Yeah, so must say what the hell you want me to do. If you want to announce, then do it! Right the hell now!"

"Okay!" He nodded and sat properly. He then dialed his secretary. "James, make an announcement. All of the employees must go the the first floor to know about it. Right now."

"Yes, sir, right away."

Mion ended up the call with a smile on his lips. He was determined to force his grandson to accept his will. Not because he wanted to give it to him, but because he needed a break. He felt as if his body was deteriorating day by day. That's why he really wanted a break— a vacation. And his grandson was his best option.

He stood up and adjusted his tie before approaching his grandson. He patted his shoulder and smiled while the other was having emotionless face—didn't want it at all. But gor his peace, he gave in.

"Let's go downstairs. Let me introduce you to my company's employees. And of course, you to meet them." He was glad at the same time relieved that his grandson accepted his proposal.

Taese rolled his eyes and followed his grandfather. He wasn't pleasant at all. But this was the best solution for him to be away from his parents.

"How long will I be handling your company? What, a month, six, seven?"

They already inside the elevator when Taese asked that.

Mion shook his head. "A year."

"A year?!"

"Uh-hum."

'One fucking year!?' He thought. 'Yes, Tae, just one freaking year and it will be done. One year without his parents irritating voice. What a fucking good life!

IVYNA instantaneously stopped what she was doing when they heard the CEO's secretary voice.

"PLEASE, all of the employees of the company proceed to the first floor. Again, all of the employees must proceed to the first floor. Right now!"

She and July confused looking at each other.

"For what?" July asked.

She shrugged her shoulder and stood up.

"Let's go."

"Wait." July said.

"What?!"

"You don't put some make up, lipstick or even blush on?"

She rolled her eyes. "For what? It's just an announcement not a famous celebrity."

July gaped while looking at her.

"If you're not coming, then see you downstairs."

Ivyna turned her back at her and walked away. But July, running, followed her in just a second. As they walked downstairs, they heard a lot of babbling.

"What's going on? Why we've been called?"

"Don't know but it says important announcement."

"Important?"

"Yes."

"What if they will lay off some employee?" Someone guessed.

"Oh my g!"

"Please don't!"

"I said, what if. I'm not sure too about this suddenly announcement."

Ivyna and July were staring at three young ladies in front of them. They murmured those and acted as if they were about to be fired from the company.

They were all waiting for the CEO to arrive. While waiting some couldn't stop themselves to guessed what the suddenly announcement was about. Some speculated that it was about firing some employees. Some speculated that a new project was on the way. And some claimed it was a personal matter.

They all voicing out their guessed when the elevator finally open. All the eyes are on it. When they saw the CEO, they all went to slience. But it wasn't the CEO who drew their attention; it was the man in his behind.

The man has a deadpan expression to his face.

They all looked and stared at him how fascinated he was. He was like magnet that attracted their eyes and locked them into him.

They just stared and watched him. And can't even denied how hot he was.

The way he walked while his both hands are in his pants' pocket was really eye-catching. He looked serious while following the CEO. From his small and circle piercing, proud and pointed nose, thick brows, his thin but red and attractive lips, and his dark stare melt their hearts.

He was wearing a plain black suit. The first three buttons was unbuttoned that made his chest slightly appeared. That made the ladies, watching him, confused where to looked to—to his handsome face or to his chest slightly showed. He also has great body— by looking how good and fit his body from the suit his wearing.

'He's full package.' Someone's thought.

'God, why he was good like that?' Another one's thought.

'OMG! I love him already!' Another lady's thought.

'Please, marry me, man!' And another single lady's thought.

Their minds was full of their unsaid thoughts while watching and staring at him. He was like the moon in the night sky while the ladies employees was the stars admiring how beautiful he was.

Taese didn't acknowledge the reaction of his grandfather's employees. He just stared at the air like he's seeing nothing. Even though they kept staring and drooling at him.

'I'm gonna be your hot boss, ladies and gentlemen.' He thought.

He still didn't look to anyone even he felt their stares. He was used to it that's why he didn't feel uncomfortable at all.

While on the other hand, Mion was smiling all the way. He never imagined that his grandson was this good looking and attractive guy. That immediately got the attention of his employees. Even though he walked first, their eyes locked into him. How fair for him.

He stopped when he reached the place his secretary pointed out. He then watched each of his employees who are still staring and almost drooled to his grandson.

"GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!" He flicked his fingers to wake them up.

They all bewildered and fixed their gaze to the CEO.

"G-Good morning, Mr. Villafeunto." They all greeted.

Ivyna didn't remove her eyes to the man behind their CEO. She wanted to but she couldn't. He was like pulling her eyes and locked to him. She couldn't explain and she didn't know why she was still looking at him. She find him handsome and attractive. Yes, but she find him also a peevish. Based on his expression he showed, she could tell that he had unpleasant attitude.

She shook her heads. Why she even thinking that way.

She and July was in back of all the employees. They intentionally stood in that place to not jostle to others if they're going back to their offices.

She then looked at July.

Her office mate was still eyes widen and drooling.

She hitted her arm that made July back into her senses.

"Ouch!" She reacted late then looked at her. "Why?"

"Your reaction is like you saw hottest hunk man."

"Yes, I saw! He's hot! Really, really hot!" She giggled.

Ivyna rolled her eyes. "You fool."

"Sorry, but he's handsome, e. I can't stop myself looking at him. Duh, it's just once in a lifetime we saw someone's this hot, attractive, and hunk man! So enjoy the moment!"

She couldn't believe what she heard from her.

"So, I called everyone here becuase of urgent and important announcement." Mion started.

They all went to silence while listening to him.

He then looked to Taese. "Come here, Tae, my grandson."

Ivyna suddenly heard the murmured of the three girls infront of them.

"Told 'ya he is his grandson."

"Grandson or not, still we don't have chance to date him!"

"Just hope!"

She made a face and rolled her eyes.

'You wish! As if he will looked into you guys.' She thought. 'Just think how high he was from them. She and her illusions!'

"This is Taese Villafeunto, my grandson. He will be the CEO of his company of mine temporarily." Mion explained. "Bw good to him, okay?" He then laughed. "He has short tempered. And Maybe you all be gone by the time I get back."

They all laughed hearing that.

"So, welcome him and accept him the way you accepted me, okay?"

"Yes, Mr. CEO!"

They all made their way to greet the new and temporary CEO.

Mion was pleasant seeing his grandson trying his best smile and greet back to his employees. He'll be gone for one year to his health. He didn't want to do this but it was the best for all.

Ivyna didn't want to greet and handshake the new CEO but July was persistent. She pushed her until their reached the flood of employees who's trying their best to touch the man's hand and saw how sweet his smile even thought Ivyna saw it fake.

Almost the lady who greeted and handshaked to him was happily walking going back to their office. And Ivyna don't know why though. It's just a greet, handshake and smile. What's with giggled and almost passed out.

"It's your turn!" She heard July whispered to her back.

She then noticed that her turn next. But she's not excited at all. Why, though? She stepped forward when the lady infront of her walked away like others giggled.

She looked at the man who's looking at her, too. She extended her hand and greeted him without any feeling.

"Welcome, Sir Villafeunto."

Taese felt like he insulted the way the women infront of her greeted him. He didn't take her hand that was extended infront of him. He just stared at the women who's staring at him, too.

"Uhm, sir, my friend was—"

He then looked to the lady behind the women who's extended her hand. She was smiling while looking at her. He then looked again to the hand and then to the women's eye before took it.

"Thank you." He said without any feeling, too.

Ivyna removed his hand from her and walked away. She felt insulted the way he took long before taking her hands. She stopped not far from where she was earlier. She saw her friend, July, was almost praising him and acted like she was his fan or what.

"Crazy girl," she murmured.

Fifteen minutes passed when finally July took her way to her. Yes, she stayed and talked to him in fifteen minutes. That long! See how crazy she was to that guy!

"Oh! M! G! His hands felt hot and his deep voice touched my heart! Omyghad! Omyghad!"

"You, crazy girl. You talked to him that damn long! How can you do that?!"

"Duh!" July rolled her eyes and flickered her hair. "That's we called confidence!"

She just nodded her head and started to walk.

"And his stares! His dark and intimidate stares made me almost pee in my pants! Girl, his stares was like hypnotized me."

Ivyna shook her head hearing those words from July. She's drown and obsessed to him already.

"You know what, Jul?" She then looked at her. She saw her looking at the ceiling while her eyes closed. Did she imagining him?! She shook her head again. "I think you need more work to do. Do all your works later to finish it today, okay?"

July pouted. "Don't you find him handsome and attractive, Ivy?"

"Who doesn't?" She questioned back. "You just mentioned that how good looking he was. But, Jul, not all the man like him will fall from you. Or from us. We just seeing them from a far, daydreaming them but we can't have them. They will never noticed us. So, stop that, your not gaining anything about that. Just do your work, at least here we can make money not baby!"

July went to silent before smiled at her."You're right!"

TAESE let his body slammed into the couch when they entered Mion's office.

"So, I'm officially accepted your will. How about my problem?"

Mion smiled at him.

"Don't worry, Tae. I'll handle your parents." He said. "You can call me anytime if they bothering you."

Taese smile as he heard that. Finally, his problem solved!

"You will started here on Monday. Don't forget that." Mion reminded him.

He nodded and closed his eyes. "What do you do here? Sit everyday and wait until work office time out?"

"Idiot. What do you do to your office?" He questioned back. "What you do to your office, that's what you gonna do here, Tae. But the work here is not hassle as what you do to your office. Got it?"

He nodded again while closed eyes. He felt sleepy. Then, in a minute of silent, he slept.

Mion, who was staring and waiting to his respond, shook his head when he realized he already slept.

Taese suddenly woke up when he felt he was falling. He fell in the couch he slept with. He's rubbing his eyes when he felt the pain in his back.

"Grandpa, why did you kick me? You can wake me up." His voice was husky.

He sat down again to the couch still closed eyes. He then stopped when he didn't hear any respond from Mion.

"Mion?" He opened his eyes.

He then saw the place wasn't the office of his grandfather. He roamed his eyes around and saw that he's in someone's house. Where the hell his grandfather brought him?

He stood up and looked around.

The house was so neat and clean. He felt like he was cams here before. But he didn't know when and why.

He roamed the house but he didn't see Mion.

"I'm not here to play hide and seek to you, Mion!" His voice was hoarse. "Mion?" He called again but no one replied.

Irritated, he sat down again and peeked again a glance before laid down. He decided to wait for Mion to went out the hell where he was. He's not wasting his time to look for him.

IVYNA stood up when she finally done finalizing her papers. She fixed it and aligned before staplered it.

"You're done already?"

She didn't look at July. She just nodded.

"Well, can I come to you?"

"What?" She's now looked at her. "Why? You're done, too?"

"Not yet."

"Oh? Why you're gonna accompany me to the CEO's office?"

She smiled brightly. "I wanted to see Taese!"

That's Ivyna finally realized what she up to. She then shook her head.

"No, you're not gonna come with me."

"But—"

"Finish your work and you can come to the office alone. And see your so called Taese."

She made a teased smile and walked away.

She used the elevator to reached CEO's office fast. When the elevator opened, she went out and straight walked to the office. She then knocked on the door and wait until the go signal sent to her before entering the office.

Her eyes immediately looked to the man who's sleeping on the couch. He looked like he was child sleeping while hugging the whole couch.

Ivyna couldn't stop her smile to showed.

She shook her head and fixed her gaze to the CEO. Who's busy signing some papers on his table. She walked toward him.

"Sorr to bother, sir. Here's the paper that needs to be signed by this week, sir. It needed for monday." She said and showed the papers she's holding.

Mion nodded. "Just put it down here, hija. Thank you."

She silently put down the papers beside the papers on his table. "I'm going now, sir."

He nodded without looking at her.

She then turned her back and made her way. She couldn't help but to looked to the man who's sleeping in the couch. He just really looked a kid while sleeping. He looked calm.

She peeked another glance before closing the door. She then laughed hard as she closed the door. All of the employees saw her and weirded out. But she just smile. She couldn't believe she'll saw that kind side of CEO's grandson.

Until she came back to their office, she couldn't stop herself but to smile.

"What's gotten into you? Why you're smiling? Did you see something inside the office of CEO? What is it? Tell me! Tell me—"

She cut her off. "Nothing!"

July didn't stop bothering her and asking what did she saw that made her smile until the office hours clocked.

"You know, beh, you're being too much. You just keeping whatever you saw inside the CEO's office. Share it to me!"

"I didn't see anything! I told you already."

"Didn't see anything but you still smiling! What is it?! Tell me! Spill it!"

"Really, it's nothing."

They reached the outside of the company. They both waiting for a cab when Ivyna checked her bag and find her wallet. She almost gasped when she didn't see her wallet inside her bag! Where did her wallet go?!

"A-Ah, Juls, wait me here, okay? I'm gonna check my wallet in our office. I think I left it there. Wait me here!"

"Okay, karma is fast, huh? Faster, beh!"

She run towards the elevator. She was preoccupied thinking where she was put her wallet until the door opened. She immediately run but then she almost lost her balanced when someone suddenly appeared on the side of the elevator.

"A-Ah!" Thanks to the wall that it cached her.

She looked up to the guy who bumped into her. She was ready to shout at him not until she saw who was it.

She's eyes widen when she saw the CEO's grandson. Yes, it was Taese.

'Shit!' She thought.

"A-Ah, sorry, sir. I didn't noticed you." She said.

She looked down. She was embarrassed.

"It's okay. Be careful next time, lady."

She felt goosebumps hearing his deeply voice. Not only his deep voice made her stunned, she also thought she heard his voice somewhere.

"Excuse me?"

She went back to her senses as she heard again his voice. She looked at his face and she stunned again by his stares. She was like she's under his hypnotizing.

"Uh, miss?"

"A-ah, sir?" She almost slapped her own face as she realized her voice.

"Can I come in now?" He gestured the elevator.

"Ah, yes, sir. Sorry." She then moved herself away the entrance of the elevator.

She took five steps away the elevator. She then ready to continued walking until she heard him.

"Uh, miss?"

She immediately turned her face to him. "Sir?"

"By any chance, did we met before? Cuz I think I heard your voice somewhere? It's kinda familiar? Did we met before?"

She thought, too. Did they really met? Why both of them saying they both heard each other's voice? Was it possible to heard someone's voice even though they just met each other?

Ivyna shook her head ans smiled.

"I don't think so, sir. I just met you."

He stared at her for a while before nodded.

"Okay."

Then without any seconds, the elevator's door closed.

She also made her way back to her office.

"I thought so. He had some bad attitude."
