The music echoed throughout the bar. There are women dancing on the dance floor who are extremely inebriated and almost naked. There are also women who continue to grind their bodies and hips with various men. Ash simply averted his gaze from the situation he was witnessing. He was sitting quietly in a corner, sipping his favorite wine. On the beach, sex. They are currently seated at Hill's Bar. One of the most well-known and best bars in town for wealthy patrons. Bachelors, multi-millionaires, billionaires, and business tycoons. They are all present in that bar, regardless of what they are called.
He went to the bar after his friends summoned him. He didn't want to go because he wasn't in the mood, and he got into a fight with his girlfriend Natasha, but he couldn't do anything because they had already picked him up. So, even though it was against his will, he just went along with it.
"Hey man, what are you doing? Come on, let's enjoy the night, don't be so grumpy," one of his friends Kim said. As he approached him, he was carrying a bottle of wine and dancing.
"I'm not in the mood, Kim; just leave me alone and enjoy yourself," he said boredly, sipping the wine he was holding.
"You're ruining the night with your grumpiness. Just let Jane do what she wants. It's her life, man. Why are you preventing her from achieving her dreams?" said another of his friends who was with a woman when he approached them, Kel.
He had a flashback to the fight between the two of them. Jane wanted to move to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a model, but Ash was opposed to the idea. He was aware that because it was so far away, she would spend less time with him and their relationship. Their meetings and conversations will be limited as well. He can fly to New York on his private plane, but it's not the same when she's right next to him. He'll be affected.
And the girl became enraged at his decision to prevent her from achieving her goal. She stated that it appears that he restricts and forbids her from doing the things she desires and enjoys.
He simply sighed as he recalled their fight.
"It's not like I'm preventing her from achieving her dreams; you just don't understand me; I love her so much that I don't think I can let her go far away from me," he explained to his friends.
"And you don't understand what she wants either. Let her live her life; don't stop her from achieving her goals; if you continue to stop her, it will be the cause of your breakup. Stop being so possessive of her. Trust me on this."
Maybe they're correct. Perhaps he is overly strict and possessive with the woman, and he doesn't understand what she desires. Perhaps she had considered leaving him because of his possessiveness. No way, she's not going to be able to do that. Jane isn't going to do it. They've been dating for almost three years. And he is madly in love with Natasha. He is insane when he thinks about her leaving him. He will undoubtedly go insane. And if that happens, he might do unthinkable things.
He sighed deeply. "Okay, maybe you're right; maybe instead of stopping her, I should instead support her; after all, that's the only thing I can do for her." he said.
When they heard his response, his friends rejoiced.
"That's our man. You should have thought of it sooner, so you didn't waste your time hanging out in the corner, sulking like a broken man. Tsk tsk," Kim said.
"All right, now that you're all good, stand up and join us. Let's enjoy the night without thinking about anything. Alright, baby!" Kel exclaimed happily, motioning for a toast. Ash gets up from the couch and joins his friends in toasting.
He won't think of Jane anymore. He'll just enjoy the night first, then go see her early the next morning and tell her that he's already decided to support her in her dream of becoming a famous model.
He smiled and took a sip of the wine he was holding.
*THE UPCOMING MORNING*
Ash awoke with a severe headache. He walked up to his bed, and his mind is racing.
He muttered under his breath, "Fuck! I really need to stop drinking." He stroked his head before attempting to stand up but failing. He took his phone from his bedside table and noticed that it was already 9 a.m. and that he needed to see Jane. So, despite the fact that his head is spinning and he's about to puke due to the hangover and severe headache, he manages to stand and walk to the bathroom to wash himself.
He hurriedly changed his clothes and went downstairs to the living room when he was finished. He noticed her mother, who was sitting on the couch and appeared to be in distress.
"Good morning, mom," he said as he kissed her on the cheek. His mother simply smiled and nodded at him. "Is there a problem? It appears you're a little sad. Where's dad anyway?" he asked, adjusting his polo.
She simply stated, "He left earlier."
"Ohh," he replied, nodding.
"Son?" his mother asked, her voice sad, and she looked at her, perplexed.
"Is there something wrong, mom? Did something happen?" he worriedly inquired. He'd never seen her mother so concerned before, and it bothers him to see her like this now.
His mother simply looked at him, shook her head, and smiled warmly. His brow furrowed in response to the abrupt change in mood. He blinked twice, then noticed her mother's face glowed. The sadness he had seen earlier had vanished and been replaced by a radiant smile.
*Perhaps I'm just seeing things?
* He thought to himself. As a result, he shrugged the idea off.
"Anyway, mom, I'm going to Jane, and maybe I'll be back in the evening, so don't wait for me at lunch, okay?" he said, kissing his mother again before leaving.
He drove his car while carrying his car keys in his pocket. Along the way, he smiled broadly. He can hardly wait to see her. He missed her terribly.
He took out his phone and dialed the woman's number, but no one answered. But he called several times more and received no response.
*Perhaps she's still sleeping?
* He made a shaky motion with his head. Then he'll simply surprise her.
He continues to drive while thinking about the woman he adores the most.
