Two girls born at the same time. Both are beautiful like the sun and moon.
Their mother was a loving parent however after the two was born, she became weaker as the time passed.
Their father was the king, blessed with amazing abilities that were soon reduced into such an awful state. The King who was powerful enough to wipe out the Earth was chained in a dungeon merely to become the land’s power source.
The two sisters grew up with a lot of eyes watching them. Their existence was known as a curse.
Countless terrible things had happened since they had come to exist.
A scourge that has never been recorded in history, demon invasions and even the Queen falling ill was blamed on them.
Hellion and Jeulle were both twins who had been protected since young.
As the influential families began a silent war long ago just to get their dirty hands on the two, the twins were not allowed to go out since.
However, the fate of the twins began to go into spirals the moment they had stepped on the learning stage.
The ten-year-old Jeulle and Hellion began to attend school.
Their mother had no choice but to send them to the academy to learn about etiquettes and magic.
The two were instantly recognized like celebrities and the pair of eyes watching them had increased tenfold.
As the other was loved, the other got hated. Two girls had gone their separate ways and the relationship shattered unknowingly as the gap between the two began to intensify.

Boom!
A huge explosion suddenly emerged as the whole platform crumbled down. The spectators shielded their eyes as they instinctively evaded the debris flying all over the place.
The harsh impact caused a huge pit on the ground unintentionally.
Jeulle slowly retracted her hands as she let the crystal shard dissipate in the air. She then averted her gaze towards the onlookers and gave everyone a proud smile.
“How is it?” She asked as she focused her eyes on the Head Instructor on the front.
The five instructors became silent for a while as they all met her gaze. After a moment, the one in the center finally stood up on his seat and pushed back his glasses.
He then gave the girl a scrutinizing glare and glance at the remains of the strike. His lips twitched into a smile and finally said.
“It seems you’ve improved again. It’s only been a week ever since the first test however, you already outrank your seniors. Truly impressive.” Gajeer commented as he stroke his chin thoughtfully.
Jeulle Vanderbilt, the daughter of Ashton Vanderbilt who was the most powerful human on earth. She entered the Academy a few months ago and successfully managed to outdo her seniors in just a short period of time. She really holds the candle of her father. However…
Gajeer cleared his throat and sat back on his seat.
The students began whispering to each other as they all sang praises and harbored a look of contempt.
Jeulle improved again. She constantly increased her power for like, every single day. They really don’t get how she managed to store such an insane amount of energy in her core.
She was like the power source itself that it’s getting harder to believe. It’s overwhelming every time she showcases her ability.
Jeulle smiled and turned her head to walk back in her seat. These wimps could never hold a candle against her so there’s no way she’d be bothered with whatever they had to say.
“Looks like the power had been concentrated on the younger. Such a shame her sister doesn’t even hold a single ounce of her ability ha ha.”
Somebody said across the stadium and shortly after, a series of laughter broke out. Jeulle glared at her classmates. Why do they always compare her to her sister every time? That incompetent b*tch! Are they trying to insult her?!
Jeulle scanned the stadium with her glaring eyes and finally landed on the specific person sitting on the front.
Hellion flinched as she felt those piercing stares of hers. She shifted on her seat uncomfortably and lowered her head, avoiding her gaze.
‘Pathetic’
Jeulle sneered and finally turned away, walking to her seat in a terrible mood.
Everyone knows how fragile her sister is. Hellion was delicate as a chicken. She was always compared to her, who had a huge magic affinity and it seriously offended her being her sister and all.
Every goddamn time, she’d hear comparison between them like a cursed melody in her ears.
While she was praised incessantly, Hellion was often bullied even with her prominent status. In this world, strong ruled over the weak. It doesn’t matter who you are, so long that you are weak, you’re just a mere ant in the eyes of people readying to be crushed.
And Hellion doesn’t get that! Jeulle incessantly reminded her however, it feels like Hellion never took it to heart and instead worsen her situation up to this point.
Now she had become the kingdom’s laughingstock.
Jeulle walked gloomily on her seat which was next to her sister.
“See that. You should’ve done that if you don’t want to get bullied anymore.” She said as she look at Hellion with disdain.
Hellion was her twin, however, they are way more different from each other. Hellion had a straight, inked hair while Jeulle had a curly red hair. Their eyes were also different. Hellion had a peach, lapis blue eyes and Jeulle had a fierce, emerald orbs.
They look the same but has different facial features.
Hellion thoughtfully glanced at her and smiled. “You’re amazing. Jeu.”
Jeulle silently stared at her. Hellion always compliment her wholeheartedly but why is it that she often took it as a mockery.
She just felt insulted somehow.
“At least you’re good at combat.” She simply said as she finally thwarted her gaze away.
She have always been in the center of the limelight while Hellion has been lurking in the dark. However, she would always see her in the darkness staring at her strangely, which made her self-conscious about the fact that Hellion was just there in the dark, not stepping out.
Hellion blinked her eyes and thought for a while then finally answered. “I can teach you. I-I’m quite good at daggers.”
“Mn.”
Jeulle twitched her mouth. Even if you’re quite good at those, you can’t still win against a magician.
Jeulle shrugged and eventually focus her eyes on the stage. There were few students doing the test on stage and soon it was Hellion’s turn.
“Don’t mess up.” Jeulle kindly reminded her.
Hellion nodded her head and made her way towards the platform and picked a crystal shard on the side.
The students watched her with mocking expressions on their faces as they waited for her to muck up.
Hellion clasped the fire shard and slowly heated it on her palms. She then aimed her strength towards the target as she tried to shoot a fireball.
“Ssst…!”
The spectators look silently on the platform and soon, roaring laughter was heard across the stadium.
“Look at that!”
“You call that a fireball?!”
“Hahahahahaahah”
Everyone laughed at her so loud that it ringed everyone’s ears.
Her chagrin was well-known across the Academy. There wasn’t a single soul who didn’t taunt her magic affinity. It began a few months ago at the first exam. While Jeulle stunned everyone, she was humiliated and there began her miserable life.
She instantly became the academy’s laughingstock.
Hellion bowed her head, embarrassed. The target was hit however, it didn’t take damage, only a few small cracks were inflicted making the sight look funny.
The instructors frowned as the students continued to embarrass her. Later, Gajeer stood up and shouted.
“Silence!”
Everyone was put on a screeching halt and the stadium immediately became quiet.
Gajeer look at the girl in front. Hellion, who was also the daughter of Ashton Vanderbilt and a twin of Jeulle Vanderbilt. Two powerful mages that can toppled the country in just a few blows unexpectedly had a pushover belonging to their bloodline.
It appears that Heaven still shed mercy for them however.
Hellion being weak is such a disgrace. She’s a freak among the royals and a very huge embarrassment to the Royal family.
‘How can someone be so weak? Her face looks exactly like Jeulle and her genes are undoubtedly Royal. If not for those details, Gajeer would really consider that she’s only adopted.
Hellion met his eyes. Her deep, blue eyes were still unreadable no matter how many times he peered into them. Those pair of eyes that didn’t care about the endless scorns she had seen and the imposing manner of a Royal. She was definitely one however Gajeer really don’t get her.
She was good at daggers but has no aptitude for magic. It’s really strange. Was she hiding her abilities? Or it’s just a fluke? Gajeer doesn’t know.
“Teacher?”
Gajeer retracted his gaze and pushed up his glasses. He then cleared his throat.
“There’s still time to improve. No rush.”
He calmly encouraged her.
Hellion just nodded at him with tearful eyes. She understands, but no matter how many times she practiced hard, her aptitude is too weak. She can’t even kill a fly. It’s simply useless.
“Understood.”
Hellion bowed and walked back to her seat. As she made her way up, whispers were heard along the way.
“Pathetic.”
“Freak.”
“Useless.”
Those mocking words she always hear everyday to the point that it made her ears numb. Countless verbal insults and physical torments. She had experienced it every single day.
She often go home with bruises and it was even unknown to Jeulle. She just never said it as she was very scared that Jeulle would judge her and call her vulnerable.
She pursed her lips and held back her tears.
‘It’s okay’
That one voice always comforted her. The soft whispers she would hear every time she was about to cry. They are there to comfort her.
‘It’s okay. Smile.’
Hellion lifted her lips up and just ignored the insults she had been hearing. That voice became her only shield. It’s fine. It’s still there.
Jeulle came up to her with an anxious face.
“I’m okay Jeu.” Hellion smiled at her and simply sat down. Jeulle just stared at her for a moment and soon averted her gaze towards the stage.
A few moments later,
Gajeer and the other instructors came up on the stage.
“The results of the exam will be hereby announced.”
