Kennedy screamed out in surprise. She glanced toward the man who unknowingly followed her from the garden; It was none other than Duncan DelaMerce, the Alpha leader of the Silver Cross packs. And the last person Kennedy does not want to see.

'Why does this man doing here?"

Kennedy made sure that no one followed her when she decides to stroll around the palace, while everyone was busy at the Empress birthday celebration.

Before Kennedy left, she saw this man talking with the Emperor, while her fiance, the leader of the Crimson Blue pack, was with the other pack leader. Glenn wants to form a connection with the other pack.

She never thought he was caught her alone wherein the situation she has no choice. Kennedy breathed a sigh of relief when she noticed that there were only the two of them.

"No one was with me," she answered sharply, and then realized she had revealed she was alone.

She rolled her eye and the man chuckled.
Glenn had no idea that the Silver Cross pack he hates was the old pack where her future luna was born and raised. It's better to avoid this man, not to cause a problem between her and Glenn.

As someone like her would become the Luna of the Crimson Blue packs, it's not a good idea to see her alone with someone like Duncan DelaMerce, who is known as a lady's man and has been linking to Princess Lilian, the empire six princesses. Duncan has not yet introduced his Luna to the Society, and Kennedy couldn't help but feel guilty about it.

Kennedy was about to leave, but Duncan quickly stopped him. He was standing too close that it was hard for Kennedy not to smell his natural scent. She held herself back from gulping and clenched her fist. She was annoyed at all people who could meet her in this place.

Kennedy swears to herself that she avoid this man at all she might. But every time, Duncan still finds a way to get near her.
He seemed no different from before. Duncan DelaMerce was still the same man Kennedy used to love. Looking down at this man who often smiles that didn't even reach his eyes. He was still rough and hard to please.

"D-Don't come near me!" Kennedy almost shouts at the top of her lungs. She stares around and looks for a way to escape. She didn't want to see nor having a conversation with this man.

"Kennedy, we need to talk."

What does this man need from her?
Does he not understand that she doesn't want to talk to him.

Every time Kennedy sees him, she recalls the things she wanted to forget.

"We have nothing to talk about?" she said.
Restlessly looking for a way to escape from this man but he was holding her wrist firmly.

Unexpectedly, Kennedy felt something soft touch her lips.

"Ump--!" Both her eyes widened in shock; only then she realized that Duncan was already kissing her. His kiss was gentle till Kennedy felt his tongue slips inside her mouth. Her heart suddenly wanted to explode as if she were out of breath. His hand is on the back of her head, holding her in place. It was like the time was stopped for a long moment, unsure whether Kennedy wanted to push him, but he was strong enough for Kennedy, who tried everything to get away from his hold. Heat spread through Kennedy, and she could not imagine that she was kissing him back.

Kennedy tries to push him hard.

"Why are you doing this to me?" The first thing Kennedy asked when finally their lips apart. Kennedy still feels the taste of the blood coming from him when she bit him. She quickly wiped his mouth with his hand.

"You still have feelings for me...." Duncan said, while the self-satisfied smirk that shows on his face while he laughs.

Kennedy glared at him. Tears were streaming down her cheeks without her notice.

"Damn you!" Kennedy raised a hand to slap him but suddenly pulled her closed and struggle to escape by this man's embrace.

"Leave Glenn and come with me." Duncan was not smiling when he said it to her.

"Are you serious? Why would I do what you said?"

"Do you think I was still the same Kennedy who was madly in love with you?!" She said while not taking her eyes off. " The naive, stupid, and foolish Kennedy who will do everything to get the attention of the Alpha like you!."

"What if I'm not!"
Duncan chuckles. "Let's see."

"Are you threatening me?" It seems like Kennedy wants to scratch his annoying face.

Kennedy knew that Duncan wanted to punish her for everything she did. She left the pack without even paying for the sins she had committed.

She was the reason why he can no longer be with his fated mates.
