Chapter 8

It's weekend, Saturday precisely.....The week went well and they all blended together....David, Davina and Theo later concluded that they will never regret ever changing school just the week they have used....

In the Anderson's family,they were having their breakfast including their dad because he arrived late yesterday to be with his children and ask about their new school...

As always,the table as been set by their mum alongside with the maids calling them out to eat...

She cooked an Italian salad, spaghetti with meatballs and garlic bread which sounds a whole lot healthier for the family.

Mrs Anderson dismissed the maids to have their own meals

"How's your new school"Mrs Yvonne Anderson started up a conversation about the school

"It was great"Davina answered first

"The school has a lot of advantages and most especially good classmates"Theo said mouthful

"Yeah,our classmates are the best, everybody are welcoming"David smiled

"Wow, thank God,i thought you will complain again"Mr Wilbur Anderson said

"There's no need for that again since we aren't relocating again, right dad"Davina asked her dad

"Yeah,this is the last time like i promised initially"Wilbur replied

"Because,i can't think of leaving my classmates again"David added

"Your classmates" Yvonne paused and continued,"but you just joined this week"

"Yeah,i just grew fond of them this short period of time"David said shrugging

"Or because of Malia Stewart"Davina said nonchalantly cutting her chicken

"Huh, Malia"Wilbur narrowed his eyes towards David

"Who is she"Yvonne said staring keenly at David

"Who are you talking about"David framing ignorance

"Just be careful,son"Wilbur advised him

"I never said anything about anybody"David scoffed

"You don't need to be shy,dear brother David"Theo tapped his shoulder

"It's better you don't come home crying again like the last time"Yvonne warned him

"I'm not shy,I'm a grown up man,i can't cry anymore"David replied

"So you knew you weren't matured then"Theo replied grinning

"I hope that's not an insult"David quirked one thick blank eyebrows upward inquisitively

"No, that's just a true fact"Theo shook his head

"Wait, didn't you guys noticed that Theo just mentioned brother"Wilbur interrupted Theo

"You noticed it too,dad"Davina said

"I think I heard wrong too"David said laughing

"Wow, that's amazing Theo"Yvonne said smiling

"I think i now love my new junior brother"David said smiling

"Is it a crime to respect your elder brother"Theo frowned

"You only do that whenever you need something from me"David said grinning

"do you guys want to turn against me now because of seniority"Theo scoffed

"Not really,we are just curious"David said laughing

"I don't know if you've had much of a chance to explore the street"Davina asked David changing the topic

"No,i haven't time during that short period of time"David replied

"I was wondering if we should stroll around the street this evening"Davina suggested

"That's sounds great"David nodded

"So i will come and call you when it's 4pm"Davina told him

"Sure,ok"David said

"What about you,Theo"Davina asked Theo

"I will pass because I want to update my notes"Theo answered

"Ohh ok"Davina nodded

"Take good care of yourself outside there"Wilbur advised

"Yes, and remember that this is your first time here"Yvonne added

"Am done with my food, heading to my room"Davina stood up

"What about your food"Theo asked her

"I'm ok,you can have it"Davina shrugged

"Ok sis,at your service"Theo said smiling as he poured hers together with his own and continued eating

"Foodie,you can't stop being a food monger"David said standing up

"I will take that as a compliment"Theo said mouthful

"Leave my son alone"Yvonne kissed Theo head as everyone of them evacuate the dinning table excluding Theo,the foodie...

"Are you all done"theo paused and looked at the leftovers foods on the table

"You guys ain't eating again and you are all leaving me alone here huh"Theo added

"Nahh,we want to give you a breathing space for you and the foods"David exaggerated

"Ohh, nice"Theo nodded

"Eat well and don't stay long"Yvonne told him and he nodded as they left him all alone

"Since they don't want,i will rather eat them than to allow it to waste"Theo said smiling as he continued to eat

It's 3:45pm in the evening and Davina is ready to leave the house but David is nowhere to be found..

When she waited for a minute,she went to his room..Davina barged into his room and met him sleeping..

"Hey, wake up sleepyhead"Davina screamed causing him to jerk up from sleep.....

"Damn Davina,that's the worst way ever to wake someone up"he said rubbing his eyes...

"Ohhhh.... really,i thought that was the best"

"Is it 4pm already"David asked checking his side clock which is on the table

"Nope....i think it's 2pm in the midnight"she said with sarcasm

"Then,i should be sleeping by now"David yawned as he used the duvet to cover himself

"Get your lazy ass here"Davina dragged the duvet off his body

"But......"

"Just come downstairs, don't keep me waiting"she told him walking out of the room.....

"Geez, what an annoying sister i gat"David muttered as he stood to freshen up....

David used up to 10 minutes in his room before proceeded downstairs to join Davina,he met her waiting impatiently tapping her feet's on the floor....

"I'm sorry"David apologized to her first when she didn't say anything because he knew at any moment she could could explode....

"Sorry for yourself"Davina hissed

" I just wanna look dashing"David added

"Now, you're sounding like Theo"Davina pinpointed

"I heard my name Just now"Theo is coming to the sitting room

"I doubt that"David grinned at him

"Whatever, just get me apples"Theo said as he concentrated on the tv program that was showing at that moment

"Alright"David and Davina said unison as they walked out

The both of them chatted as they walked down the street commenting on whatever they saw till they caused a fight between two guys...

"We shouldn't have done that"David said laughing as they stopped to catch their breath as a result of running

"It was fun"she rolled her eyes

"Yeah,I'm sure the other guy would have beaten the girl's boyfriend almost to death"

"And he would have ended up in hospital"she smiled

"What do you gain"David asked her as they got closer to the amusement park

"Fun out of trouble,i guess"she shrugged

"Trouble?"he questioned her

"Yes,I'm sure when he sees us again,he gonna put up a big fight"

"Im gonna ignore you"

"You can't because he saw the both of us"she scoffed

" Then I'm gonna lie, remember that you were the one who initiative it"

"That's doesn't count,I'm your twin sister"

"Who cares about that and who says i can't"he teased her

"Fine,suit yourself because dad is going to know you were the one who told aunt Maggie about the magazine"

"I only gave her an hint"

"I don't care"she hissed

"That's a blackmail"

"No, that is just an alternative for you to stick to me"

"Alright,i will tell Dad myself"he said

"Really,go ahead, i hope you are able to withstand whatever punishment that comes out of it"

"You are making me regret telling you"

"I knew myself, idiot"she shaking her head

"Ok fine,i agree, just remember i always love you"

"Also, keep this at the back of your mind, nobody cares"she paused and looked at David squarely,"why do you say that"

"Can't i"

"It's obvious that you are planning something but tch tch,whatever that is, ain't gonna work"

"Really,i will......."

"We're here at the popular Daisy's Amusement park"she cut him as he was talking

"Wow,a lot of people are here and have occupied everywhere, that's because we came late"

"Thank God, you noticed, ain't you not the cause, rubbish"she folded her arms

"Okay,let's find something to do,even if we came late because I can't come here for nothing"

"Wooow,they got swings" she pointed at it

"Not that"

"Hmmmm......let's go for the roller coaster"she pointed towards the place as she dragged him there........

"You almost got my ears blocked"David said rubbing her ears after they got down using close to 30 minutes on the roller coaster.....

"Always remember me never to use this thing again in my life"he told her panting heavily

"Ok, but truthfully,that was fun"she said laughing

"Only for weird people like you"

"I'm not weird but maybe complicated, isn't it"she asked him

"Yes you are,i just pity your boyfriend"he shakes his head

"Don't bother yourself,i will be romantic"

"Oops,i gonna remind you when you are dating"

"Alright,i will be waiting"

"So where to now"

"To the ice cream shop"she said when her eyes settled on the ice cream shop situated down the park

"So let's go"they both entered and got themselves ice cream of their choice....

"So what's next"David asked as they walked out of the shop

"Hmmmm..... Don't know,the roller coaster as drained me"she said licking her vanilla ice cream

"Ohhhh,let's just walk around"

"What are people doing at that corner"Davina saw people gathering around a place after some minutes of walking...

"That's the doll machine probably picking a doll"he said nonchalantly

"Can you pick a doll for me"she asked blinking her eyes brow

"You don't need it"

"Please"she pouted

"Just this one"David agreed because she knew he couldn't reject it since she pouted

"Thank you"she beamed.....

They walked closer the machine, and picked a spot to pick up the doll...... Davina told David she wanted the pink bear in the machine....then, David set to work.......

He picked it up the first time, Davina squealed like a baby,as he was taking it to the place he will drop it and pick it up, it fell back.....

"Ohhhh"Davina happily face dropped.... David tried it again....it happened again....

"I really want to get this doll"Davina faked sobbing

"Don't worry i will get it for you"David promised her and he focused on it....

Meanwhile,when David is trying to pick up the doll, Davina felt someone eyes is on her....

She looked back but didn't find anyone, everyone is busy with one thing or the other....she waved it away concluding maybe because this is a big crowd....She faced David back....

She noticed it again, and looked back and frowned, she looked front and back but couldn't find anything....she became disturbed....

"What could that be"she muttered

After a moment,she noticed a movement between the crowd and decided to follow it to check what is that.....

Davina left David side without telling him anything walking into the crowd...

David try again for the umpteenth time and with luck,he picked the doll this time around....

"Wow, that was stressed full, but i have promised so that is why I'm doing this,i don't just know what you want to use this for........"David was just talking but noticed Davina didn't say anything or insult him...he looked back and saw that she is nowhere to be found......

"Davina......"he called out......
