In the bustling market of the capital, a young boy of about seven years old could be seen running with his hair tied in one bun held with a hairpin.

"Young master Yan, please stop running" A servant said while panting to catch his breath. He looked at the young master who also stopped running beckoning him to come over.

"Catch me if you can" The young boy giggled as he resumed running.

The servant who was trying to catch his breath earlier looked up but couldn't sight his young master. He sighed Young master if you don't come out, I will tell master our little secret"
He should have know that the trick won't work on the little boy anymore since he always use it on him whenever he went into hiding. When he saw that there was no reply, he decided to continue running in the direction he last saw him.

"He surely wouldn't be able to catch the the fastest runner in Shaoyang" The little boy said with a laugh and continued running.

"Ahhh... " The little boy exclaimed as he fell down. He looked up at the he person he used his shoulder to hit. "Woah....big brother an sorry. Are you hurt?" The little boy stood up slightly raising the cloth he borrowed from his cousin. As he tried checking the body if the older boy, his hairpin fell off and his long hair fell to his waist.

"My hair, the big shouted as he turned around about to run away.

" Hmmmm....what's your name?" The older boy finally talked. He was looking in wonder at the hair of the boy who had his back turned at him.

The little boy turned and replied" My name is Baozi who loves eating steamed buns" with a smile that showed his cute dimples and started running in the direction he came from.

'She is so beautiful' The older boy thought with a smile. He picked up the jade hairpin that fell on the floor.

"Little Ran, tell us what gift you want for your birthday and we would give you" General Yan happily told his daughter.

"Father, mother I don't want a gift but I want to make a request you must accept" Yan Ran replied back with a smile that faintly showed are dimples

"Sure, you have my words. If old Yan doesn't agree I would surely agree." Qing Rong sweetly replied with a doting smile.

With a laugh, Yan Ran said " I want to attend Shaoyang academy along with brother Wu Tong." Seeing the expression on her parents face she quickly added "You must not go back on your own words".

" This....." General Yan looked at his wife for assistance.

"Dear, Shaoyang academy is an all boys school meant. It has never being heard that female students attend it because it is prohibited." Qing Rong softly explained to her daughter.

"That's very easy then. I just have to disguise as a boy. No one would be able to know" Yan Ran immediately replied inwardly praising herself for being smart.

"That's not possible. If his majesty learns about it, we would be beheaded for tricking him." General Yan immediately disagreed.

"Dad....." Yan Ran signalled to her mother to persuade her father.

"Aiya.....Old Yan. Little Ran already told us she won't tell anyone about her gender. Also we have Wu Tong to take care of her and protect her" Qing Rong patiently explained in her sweet voice.

General Yan had no choice but to agree to his wife since he didn't want to sleep outside the room. "Well said" He praised his wife. He turned to Yan Ran and said " Go ahead and tell Wu Tong that you would be attending the academy with him" He urged his daughter.

"Thank you Father. Thank you mother." Yan Ran giggled as she ran out of the room they were.

"Yan Ran, how was it " Wu Tong asked as his handsome face popped in front of Yan Ran.

"Brother Wu Tong here you are" Yan Ran dryly said with her head down.

"Ahhh....Don't worry, we can try another method. We still have a week more before a new session starts" Wu Tong comforted his cousin sister.

"Father and mother agreed" Yan Ran exclaimed as she tightly hugged her cousin.

Really???.....That's nice. We need to celebrate it tonight" Wu Tong removed the girls hand that was hugging his neck with a sigh.

As the cute man winked at the ladies showing a charming smile, the ladies squealed in excitement.

"What's so great about them?" A man grumbled. Because of the presence of the hearts of Shaoyang, all the ladies who were trying to impress him disappeared in a matter of seconds.

"Yan Ran, aren't you going to miss all this attention you are receiving?" Wu Tong Whispered in his cousin's ear.

Yan Ran blew a kiss to the lady beside her before replying " Sure, I would miss all this ladies that refuse to make friend with me in the morning but beg to be my friend at night" with a charming smile sending the ladies surrounding them into frenzy.
