Flashback continues

My days passed well, Nandini always brought food for me and Cabir. By her look, I knew she had started liking me, but now I don't believe in love. So,I don't want to give her any false hope ,I can't love anyone after Alya's betrayal and started keeping distance from Nandini, but testing wants something else.

I am happy in my life, I have Ram uncle and Cabir, who love me not because of my money or surname but because of the person I am. But happiness doesn't live longer, as one day while returning from the garage, Ram uncle saved me from the truck and himself come under the truck.

We had taken him to the hospital, but Doctor told us they cannot save him, Ram uncle know about his situation, he on his deathbed request me to marry Nandini as she had no one after him, he will be at ease if I will marry her because I am the only person he can trust with Nandini after Cabir. I was to refuse, as I could not love her ever, and I don't want to trap her in a loveless marriage, but when I saw hope in his eyes, I could not refuse him and marry Nandini on the same day. And finally, Ram uncle leave the world happily after giving his blessing to me and Nandini after our marriage. At that time, I promised myself I will always protect Nandini, maybe I will never love her, but I will always protect her and fulfill all her dreams.

Flashback end 

Manik comes out of his trance when Nandini moves in her sleep, he strokes her hair so, her sleep will not get disturbed. After some time, he again goes to memory lane and remembers how they consummate their marriage.

 It's been two months ram had left the world, Manik had started living with Nandini. They had started sharing the room, but Nandini was a lifeless soul, she did not eat or drink herself until Manik, Cabir or Navya feed her. She is not talking to anyone, nobody can say she was the same cheerful and bubbly Nandini.

Finally, Manik had decided to took  Nandini to the doctor, where the Doctor suggested to him: "She is in trauma, after losing her father, her only family she is in depression. But you have to make her believe that you are here for her, you are her husband, her family. She is not alone, she has someone in the world she can rely on. She needs love ".

From that day Manik starts taking care of her, he talks to her, takes her to the park, for dinner, for shopping. Initially, it was difficult for Manik because Nandini was not responding but after few months she started responding. And finally, Manik's efforts pay and she becomes normal. After that, they started living as friends like before. They are happy in their lives.

One day Manik went to a five-star hotel to deliver a car where he saw Dhruv and Alya in each other arms laughing which made Manik furious and angry. He decided to spend some alone time and went to the seashore. At the seashore, he remembered all the moments he spend with Alya and how she used to claim that she loved her. He chucked and think in his mind:" love is a lie, there is nothing in the world called love".

His phone rang, it's from Nandini. But he didn't want to talk to anyone now. So,  he just ignore the call because he wanted to spend some time alone. Then after sitting there for two hours he finally decided to go home.

When he reached home, he was welcomed by a tight hug from Nandini who was crying very badly, before he could be asked anything, she asked still hugging him: "Where were you, you know how many times I had called you ?".

Manik started feeling extremely guilty for his carelessness, he come out of his guilt when he feel Nandini was shivering very badly. He tried to relax her, he take her to the room and tried to calm down but she was repeating the same thing: "Please don't leave me Manik, you are the only one I have, what will I do if you leave me like Papa . Please I love you, please don't leave me ".He tried to calm her, but all in vain so, finally he slam his lips on her and start kissing her passionately. First, Nandini was shocked but after some time she also started responding to the kiss. He make her lay on the bed while kissing her, he remove their clothes and cover themselves with a blanket. After few hours, he come out of her and rolled to his side, took Nandini in his arms who slept immediately because of tiredness. He was looking at her sleeping form and think in his mind: "Nandini, we become one now. You are my wife and  I will protect you, cherish you like I promised  Ram uncle, but I can't love you because I don't believe in love. You are the most important person in the world to me but I can't love you. I promise I  will fulfill all my responsibility as a husband and always keep you happy".He kissed her on the head and sleep. 

From that day they start living as husband and wife. In these two years, Nandini falls madly in love with him, and she is happy with Manik but deep down she knows Manik does not love him and only fulfills his responsibility as her husband, she has believed that one day he will fall for her and love her as she does.

The next morning , Manik opened his eyes when sunrays on his face, he gets up and sit on the bed . He yawned and scratch his messy rubber , he looked around and did not see Nandini , thinking she will be in the kitchen he gets up and walked toward the washroom .
